More style than substance... my mum has lived in this home for 6 months. Beyond the nice decor and the nice staff the care is average to poor. For cΒ£6k per month we have witnessed broken safety systems, poor risk assessments and obvious staff shortages where you find yourself providing care because the staff are simply too busy helping others. Finally, my mum lost thousands of pounds worth a jewellery in the first week here...never to be seen again! Try elsewhere...

were do i start with this place ? my concerns are so great i have contacted CQC, for the price they charge which is mind blowing they should be able to afford Managers with at least some idea of what there job title means , little clue in the title( Manage), managers when you call them do not call back or receptionists make excuses on there behalf, just chaos, i have no idea why clients pay the 2,000 plus cost to stay there a week , surely there a poor households who would look after your relatives for better if you paid them half or a quarter of that a week,

Please think again if you are considering this home. The management in place, is the same as it was when it was Sunrise, and the last CQC report was before it declined even further.. serious safeguarding issues.

All kippers and curtains. The afternoons are always short staffed and residents are left long periods of time waiting for the toilet. Staff are run off their feet and the residents are at risk of not receiving care and attention they deserve. Better homes for less money.

Wouldn't let my dog go there let alone a person!! No wonder they have had to change names. Clearly don't look at staffs drbs that shouldn't be carers. Avoid at all costs!!!

Beautiful home, dedicated staff. All the residents always look really happy and are kept busy with lots of different activities. My friend who lives there says the staff are doing a marvellous job throughout covid, really taking care of everyone with correct measures in place.

I visited a friend on Sunday. This retirement home is first class. Plenty of staff always very welcolming no horrible smells. If all homes were like this we would have very happy OAPs

Such a beautiful home. The new visiting pod is just wonderful. It is safe, comfortable and allows me to have regular meaningful visits with my mum during this difficult time. Well done Sunrise of Solihull and thank you.

I was made extremely welcome this week at the dementia cafe where we had tables of local people living with dementia and their carers. We sang songs accompanied by guitar and tambourines and shakers from the musicals and the 50's and 60's. Very scrummy cake and tea was provided before the singing got underway. It seemed a good time was had by all!

I would like to highly rate and recommend the Dementia/ Memory Cafè taking place on the first Monday morning of every month at Blossomfield Grange. The first floor Activities Lounge provides an excellent, relaxing social setting overlooking the gardens, and the morning itself is very well organised by Jo and Sam (Co-ordinators on the team), who welcome everyone. Tea, coffee, fruit juice, pastries and fruits are freshly supplied by the kitchen team. It is a joy to be involved in bringing a themed session for guests each time while company and conversation are shared. Libby Service, Activities Support Services Provider (Care Homes & Community)

I have been visiting Blossomfield Grange for many years in the capacity of entertainment. I do quizzes, exercise routines, assorted ball games, music quizzes. Plus one hour talks on various subjects and musical concerts. During this time I have always found the home to be very friendly and comfortable. The staff are caring and always ready to help people. It is a care home I have always been impressed with. David Knowles - Motivation and Co.

It has been a pleasure to work with the team at Blossomfield Grange to ensure their residents have access to a wide range of activities and the willingness of the care home to offer activities free of charge to the local community so people don't feel so isolated.

Have just moved a client into Blossomfield Grange care home and I am so impressed with the way they managed the whole process from the initial enquiry through to the actual move in. Jo Hopkins' approach to the move was brilliant and the team of carers supporting my client are fantastic. My client is settling in well and she and her friends are really pleased with their choice of care home. Ambience, activities, and day to day care and attention to detail is working out well. Thank you Jo and your team of carers.

We have been involved with Blossomfield Grange for over 4 years and have always received a friendly welcome whether attending social events or visiting our friend. The staff are very helpful and there is a wide range of activities every week . It is a positive sign that residents are encouraged to attend the monthly catering and residents meetings and receive minutes afterwards stating any actions that have been taken. Looking forward to seeing the refurbishments that Care UK are undertaking this year. We look forward to our weekly visits to the Bistro when meeting our friend.

Dad moved in a few months ago and has received excellent care. He has settled well, but can sometimes get confused about where he is. The staff deal with this very well at whatever time of day, distracting him with activities or sitting and chatting to him until he is settled. The staff are all very caring and helpful and always take time to say β€œhello” to each resident and engage with them even when just passing through. Dad says the food is very good. Refreshments are always on hand and staff check frequently to see if residents (and visitors) want drinks/snacks and make them if the resident is unable to do so themselves. His room is large and airy. Dad is always encouraged to join in the various activities on site and enjoys himself when he joins in. The staff keep me well informed of any issues that arise; I feel I am involved and know what is going on. We are very happy with the care he is receiving and would have no hesitation in recommending the home.

We could not be happier with the care offered by Blossomfield Grange for my mother. Comfort, food (always a varied menu), activities and the attentive staff are all beyond what we would expect and have witnessed in other care situations. You pay for what you get, but it is worth it!

No care home is perfect but if you can feel that your loved ones are being well-cared-for, well-fed, kept safe and have help on hand at all times then the minor issues can be kept in perspective. At Blossomfield Grange we feel that we made a good choice for our relatives who are happy there and surrounded by people who are always prepared to help when asked but who allow residents their independence too. The range of activities on offer is superb and take-up is good. Menus are varied and residents can have a say in their content and the opportunity to comment on their dining experience. Some refurbishment is planned for the New Year to update the decor with minimal disruption. We are very grateful to all the staff who work there but especially to the carers, several of whom are long-standing members of staff which is always a good sign. Thank you all for doing the job that we ourselves cannot manage.
