    If i could give a lower score i would. The service is terrible unless you wish to start a mortgage or pay in money. There is no interest for customer care. Try the web site chat line the mechanical voice recommends! unless you give an answer it is programmed to hear it disconnects you, what a joke! I have tried to phone the branch directly it still puts you through to the main number which again sends you in a huge circle To the mortgage department who then transfer you to a infinity number. I Asked for a call back, guess who called back? the mortgage department who could not help. This is just not good enough service HSBC.

    I am very disappointed with the service they providing. No body knows what is happening no customer care. I lost my credit card in January reported over phone and they said will receive new card in 5 working days. Then when I didn't get more than 2 months and chatted and called they again said will process now and get in 5 working days. I didn't receive any. Again call and the person was nice over phone and reassured will receive my card definitely this time but I have to collect from local branch in 6 working days. I been there today after around 2 weeks but it was not there and they said not ordered or processed even and they can't help. Its a joke. No care for customer. Definitely worst service.

    HSBC is the worst bank in the world. Dumb staff in their helpline phone numbers. Complete wast of space. I already wanted my account closed and told your retarded staff before you unilaterally declared it scumbag imbeciles. Find a different company to bank with these are scum

    Unfortunately not advised that after having been requested to close a dormant account this apparently resulted in a fixed term deposit having nowhere to place funds on maturity! It had been requested previously to transfer the funds into a new fixed term however they were transferred into a suspense/holding account and are yet to be received!

    Not good at all. Concerning that after a personal visit 2 months ago when a member of staff took copies of very personal documents; they apparently are lost?? Attempting to speak to the branch which is now impossible as all calls are routed through central call centre. So, you have to repeat and repeat the same information multiple times. Plus 30 minute calls each time .......what is happening with HSBC.? At a guess they've cut staff to the bone so all calls are "on hold' " due to covid :-) & not enough branch staff............. As a direct comparison so HSBC can't hide behind covid; every other institution I have dealt with over the same matter, [ some 20 + ] including other banks; insurances; Passport Office; DVLA have all been efficient and dealt with this in a very prompt manner and nothing lost and matter dealt with & completed in less than 4 weeks. HSBC as of today 22/6/21 still no resolution.

    The worst people/management I have spoken to in this branch, the manager and their staff no idea what and how to deal with the customer and it was like they were pushing the customers not to open an account with them. I need to officially launch a claim against them. Hsbc will need provide training some to their staff. I was not expecting this his kind of behaviour from the hsbc team.

    Can not get on to internet banking and whent in to the back and the staff added some thing to my account and blocked me out now I can not get in to my own account and I need a loan to get a car and can not get to talk to any one I have dyslexia

    Some staff have very poor knowledge about how to protect customers’s best interest. Also it is not infrequently to see unpleasant manners with staff. I experienced a number of times and finally decided to change my bank.

    Mr Tom Underwood is really nice and helpful. Staff is kind and patient. I really recommend that branch. Service is lovely.

    I've banked with HSBC for a long time, always had excellent service. Went for a statement today and didn't feel the least bit welcome. Although the printing was done promptly, the receptionist needs training on how to be polite with customers.

    Arrived home after many years abroad, to deposit a large sum of money into my Barclays account, only to find Barclays had lost my account while reducing 2 branches to 1 in the town! HSBC was nearby. Explaining the situation to the staff, I was helped immediately in opening a new account. My Bank card creditcard and Cheque book all arrived well within the 10 day period. Excellent service now for many years. Thank you HSBC

    Update. This bank is a total joke. I visited the branch to open a new account. The staff were nice as I said below, however it is now two months since the visit and despite two phone calls they seem to have lost my application. What do I have to do to get service?     I would just like to say thank you to Sarah and the other lady in the branch as they helped me massively when I was stuck in the car park that only accepted cash and I had no card or cash on me at the time due to being in a rush in the morning. Whether it was a simple gesture, to me it helped massively and saved me a lot of hassle. Thanks again.
