šŸ˜ Had a lovely and relaxing swim, staff were friendly and helpful. Its changed a lot since I last went a couple of years ago, with strict entry and exit times, and the price has sadly more than doubled. I look forward to being able to use the changing rooms and showers again soon. My only real niggle... People often mention pond, swim, water, women, experience, queue, time, meadows, space,

Had a lovely and relaxing swim, staff were friendly and helpful. Its changed a lot since I last went a couple of years ago, with strict entry and exit times, and the price has sadly more than doubled. I look forward to being able to use the changing rooms and showers again soon. My only real niggle was that the toilets were swiftly locked immediately after our swim session ended, even though we still had plenty of time before our exit time. We were told we could not access them because they wanted to clear the pond for the next booking and that we would have to find an alternative toilet on the Heath, which was some distance away. I hope they will reconsider this policy in future, as swimmers really ought to be able to access the bathrooms both before and after their swim.

This has been on my bucket list for some time. I was a little disappointed I couldnā€™t take a photo to capture the gorgeous setting. The young lifeguards were rather militantā€¦ one poor lady was asked not to swim front crawl whilst I was there & another to remove her t-shirt before entering. She was clearly very body conscious & had a swimsuit on underneath. I couldnā€™t understand these ā€˜rulesā€™. The no photography I kind of get, although there was no such rule in the menā€™s or mixed pools. However it is a very unique, special place & as a keen wild swimmer I was delighted to have made the visit.

if you only want to sunbathe ignore all sings and queues.Anything you see on their website or on the signs at the entrance apply to the pond only and NOT for the meadows. We figure this out the hard way, after queuing for half an hour and they were shouting telling people they wouldnā€™t get in. They even put a sign at the top saying No entry, but again, this has nothing to do with the meadows. Itā€™s all badly explained so around 70 women left without asking. I only know because Iā€™ve asked the steward and she perplexed said ā€œyou can go to the meadows!ā€ As a result, the meadows are empty now and I doubt anyone passing by will think they can get in since it says No entry! Thereā€™s no entrance fees for the meadows. There are chemical toilets (flush didnā€™t work) and I think you can refil your water somewhere near the pond - I havenā€™t tried but seen several people going towards the pond with their water bottle. Failing that the closest water fountain is outside the womenā€™s area, about 5 min walk.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the pond. So beautiful and serene. Just amazing. I put a 2 star review because speaking to locals and even a lifeguard, the general feedback is that there are a lot of rules to follow and the peace and freedom felt years ago has now turned - this is not helped by the considerable entry fee. Speaking to locals and the lifeguard, there are more rules at the female pond than the mixed pond and the rationale is not clearly explained. It would really help if lifeguards, the 'company' running the pond and locals could work together to find a proper solution as at present it feels like it's turning into a business, driving out the poorer folk and becoming an elitist location - certainly not what was intended when the ponds were given and supposed to always be free.

Have group of ladies dunno what to do summer weekend! Here is an Really amazing getaway in London! Trust me it was a fun me and my gals went you get all your privacy showers & toilet on the spot! You need to pay at the entrance we were students so we paid Ā£2.70 per person. The lady was so sweet! Also girls donā€™t get any valuable stuff as they donā€™t have any lockers there just a bag which has your sun cream towel a set of clothes and toiletries bag. Also under 16 have swimming test. I would say if you are not a ā€œPERFECT SWIMMERā€ do not enter the pond as it has really deep sea bed! There are life guards but donā€™t take risk. Have fun ladies xoxo

I went today at around 12pm and it was reasonably busy. The pond itself was lovely and the facilities well kept. The staff were unfortunately letting the experience down for me. Upon arrival (my first time going), I was feeling a little nervous and the ticket lady certainly didn't make me feel welcome. She didn't even say hello back, and gestured for me to move out the way whilst she served two other people for no reason. I didn't have a pre-booked ticket or membership band but it took 2 seconds to put the payment through. The life guards were rather militant and stood very close as I went into the water, given my current body confidence a tiny bit more space and privacy would have been nice. All in all, lovely pond, just don't expect a warming arrival! Maybe it's because I am not a member. After this experience I don't plan to be.

One of my favorite spots in London. What a little gem. Gets very busy in the summer, I prefer fall and the spring. In the summer, make sure to book before 5pm and be ready to queue after. The queue moves quite fast.

A total joy. Was pretty scared about depth but felt safe due to lots rubber rings tethered about the pond. A unique experience and loved it despite my fears. Little ducks swimming about. Heron on the side. Felt very privileged.

The ponds are exclusive to women making this and the swimming experience quite unique as you swim in Nature in the fresh, natural and cold water. You can watch overhead wildlife including parakeets, wonderful dragonflies and of course the ever changing open sky. Always clean and tidy with excellent, minimal facilities and very private so no photos are to be taken plus incredible and excellent value at Ā£4.20. Come on Ladies, go for a safe, refreshing and restorative swim...or float!

Overly officious admin staff along with covid mission spread have wrecked the atmonsphere of this place. This is the richest council in London, and they charge Ā£4.50 to queue for a swim in a duck pond while turning off the hot showers to save money. (They pretend it is for other reasons). Meanwhile you have to book online, queue, wait for your delegated hour to start (they close the toilets at the end of each hour), and be shoved about into fenced off areas. If they wanted to manage numbers they could simply have allowed people to turn up whenever and queue until they judged the pond was full, rather than all this extra admin with online booking and sessions. What was once a wonderful tranquil space is now a cash cow.

Utterly divine experience. The only thing I would say is there should probably be some kind of policy around people not joining the queue until the full party is there. A bit disheartening when youā€™re finally near the top of the line and then a group of 10 women join the solo queuer ahead of you. I know itā€™s a just manners thing but itā€™s the only negative of the whole experience.

I love this place so much. It gets super busy during the summer, so make sure to book! It is a haven with the gorgeous secluded pond and green meadows with visiting ducks and a very cute fox. I am so grateful this space exists

On my last visit I was extremely disappointed. After covid you need to book in advance, you need to pay for your visit, the ā€œallowedā€ space became waaay smaller. And your stay there is timed. Once it was a safe space for women, now it feels like prison.

Tried to sit in the waiting area to breastfeed my 3 month old while my friend went to swim and was told to leave. Very disappointed to be excluded from a women only space because I had to breastfeed!

Small pond. For a quick refresher always nice but you can only stay for one hour. The pond is a pond so donā€™t expect clear water but there are showers. You donā€™t reach the floor or algae with your feet but you canā€™t see your feet as the water is kinda green.

The best place to relax on a hot day in london. Take a swim in the crisp pond and enjoy a tanning session in the meadow. My friends and I are always impressed by the beauty of the Heath and the refreshing feeling of the water. Itā€™s no phones allowed which makes for an incredible atmosphere. Bring a book and enjoy a hot afternoon.

One of my favourite places in London for a swim just for women. Contrary to many others, who (perhaps fairly) criticise the more restricted and expensive access to the ponds nowadays, following covid, I think there's a plus which is that it's much quieter to swim there now - it doesn't get crowded which I think is lovely.

Lovely place for a morning dip. Pre 11.30 you can queue to get in. Really worth it!

Perfection! Can't wait to go swimming again!! Haven't been here since waaaay before the pandemic and everything has changed a bit. The changing rooms are much nicer (although the water in the showers was colder than the pond!! Haha) and more spacious and I loved that there was a secluded meadow before the ticketed entrance, where you can spend as much time as you want before/after swim! All the staff were lovely and I enjoyed my swim so much!

šŸ‘šŸ‘ What a lovely swim. Not the warmest water but I acclimated quickly enough. Not a lot of space inside to relax next to the water - it's more about getting in, swimming, and leaving. They have changing areas and cold showers for rinsing off afterwards.
