Got
baptised
at
City
Church
in
2018.
Unfortunately,
I
left
the
church
a
few
years
later,
due
to
them
not
following
God’s
Word.
In
1
Timothy
2:12
we
read:
“I
do
not
permit
a
woman
to
teach
or
to
have
authority
over
a
man,
but
to
be
in
silence.”
You
will
be
hard-pressed
to
find
a
more
clear
and
plain
scripture
than
this
one,
and
yet
this
church
has
for
a
period
of
time
now
had
a
woman
as
one
of
its
leaders/pastors,
which
is
in
direct
violation
to
God’s
Word.
In
1
Corinthians
11:3,
the
Apostle
Paul
also
tells
us:
“that
the
head
of
every
man
is
Christ;
and
the
head
of
the
woman
is
the
man;
and
the
head
of
Christ
is
God
[the
Father].”
Here
is
another
clear
scripture
which
tells
us
that
women
are
not
to
take
leadership
roles
in
the
Church
and
to
exercise
authority
over
a
man.
I’ve
heard
it
said
that
“that
was
just
the
culture
back
then,
and
times
have
changed.”
Well,
if
you
believe
the
Bible
to
be
the
Word
of
God,
then
it
clearly
states
that,
even
though
times
may
change,
God
does
not
change
[Malachi
3:6;
Hebrews
13:8].
Besides,
this
is
not
a
“culture”
issue;
it’s
actually
linked
to
the
creation
of
man
and
woman
because
the
Apostle
Paul
goes
on
to
say
in
1
Timothy
2:13-14
that
the
reason
for
not
permitting
a
woman
to
teach
is
that:
“Adam
was
formed
first,
then
Eve”
and
that
Eve
was
the
one
who
was
deceived,
not
Adam.
We
need
to
also
bear
in
mind
that
none
of
the
Apostles
who
Jesus
handpicked
were
women.
In
other
words,
all
of
those
who
would
go
on
to
lead/preach
after
Jesus’
departure
were
men.
If
anyone
thinks
that
this
teaching
may
be
sexist,
then
permit
me
to
draw
your
attention
to
Galatians
3:28,
which
states
that
whether
we
are
male
or
female:
we
are
all
one
(or
equal)
in
Christ
Jesus.
However,
just
as
there
is
a
“hierarchy”
in
the
Trinity,
with
God
the
Father
being
above
Jesus
the
Son
[John
14:28;
1
Corinthians
11:3]
so
it
is
with
a
man
and
a
woman,
and
God
has
ordained
that
it
is
not
a
woman’s
role
to
lead
or
to
preach
the
Gospel.
City
Church
was
once
such
a
God-filled
place.
When
you
would
visit
this
church,
you
would
always
leave
the
building
with
your
spirits
renewed.
You
could
enter
feeling
sad
and
depressed
and
leave
literally
filled
with
joy.
It
really
was
such
a
powerhouse
of
a
church,
and
it
really
did
change
my
life
when
I
joined
and
became
baptised,
but
it
has
now
lost
that
spark
that
it
once
had.
Many
have
now
left
this
once
great
church,
and
I
do
believe
it
is
to
do
with
the
changes
that
have
been
made
there.
My
hope
and
prayer
is
that
City
Church
will
one
day
return
to
its
former
glory
and
abide
“fully”
by
the
Word
of
God.
