The extensive beer garden is literally along the bank of the river taff. There is a large outdoor balcony on the first floor for even more viewing of the beautiful water. The large upstairs event room also overlooks the water and weirs. Canoes pass by leisurely. Even in wet weather the view is marvelous. Although on a main road , the club is accessed by a narrow lane to its car park. Therefore it is quiet but for the noise of the bubbling taff and the punters (I saw no punts btw 😉)

Great place...good hospitality, wonderful surroundings & good food. The people who run it couldn't do any more for you...thanks for that. Always have an enjoyable time there.

Enjoyed a very nice evening here last week. Very welcoming, friendly staff and happy to accommodate my two dogs. Needless to say a few drinks in the sunshine next to the Taff River was very hard to fault. No need to be a member of the club, they're keen for the general public to enjoy this hidden gem.

Tried booking the hall but no one ever gets back to you. I wouldn't bother, better off trying somewhere else

What a fantastic spot alongsidecthe River under a marquee. Good food. Small tapas menu of about 10 dishes. Which was lovely and served hot as I like my food. All from the outdoor kitchen so great job all round. Facilities are in the rowing club. You will need to wrap very warm. There is no heating currently and it does get cold sitting there. Blankets and many winters layers are the order of the day to enjoy it 😁

The pop up Restaurant Nook by the river was fantastic.

We enjoyed our visit to the Nook by the River pop-up, lovely food and wine. Plenty of vegetarian choice on the small plates menu. Such a nice spot too in Llandaf rowing club, right by the side of the river and close to the weir. Hopefully it will be back next summer 🤞

Lovely function room overlooking the River. Had family birthday party there. Nothing too much trouble very accommodating staff. Drinks reasonable

Nice boat house, lovely river and green area surrounding.The river bends are a bit difficult to navigate - for the junior rowers at least- but this doesn't take out of the area's charm.Maybe it just help improving the rowers' stiring skills :-) .

We booked a venue with them for our engagement, well in advance and now two weeks before they say we have to pay another £100 if we don't use their caterers or entertainment, we were not told this when handing over the deposit and it is not on the website. "As a Gesture of good will" they have refunded our deposit. The price for the venue Is higher than most venues around and holds less people, It stated on the website the venue would hold upto 150 people comfortably but when we paid the deposit we were told we'd be lucky to get 90 people in plus we'd struggle getting served as they only have a small bar. Now we have such a short time to book another venue if at all possible. Absolutely disgusted with the way we have been treated. What a disgusting way of doing business.

Llandaff rowing club has one of the most beautiful locations in Cardiff for rowing being located right next to the Weir and the edge of Llandaff the people tend to be nice however of course as with any such club membership is expensive which is always a prohibiting factor however again the people the clubhouse the location and the actual rowing is well supported and very pleasant

I work at this wonderful rowing club bar which is open to non members, and is child and dog friendly.

Excellent. Upstairs room was hired for a party. Great space and lovely friendly staff.

We had my sons 40th party in the upstairs venue the bar staff were very quick very helpful and friendly the food was also very nice great place for a function
