Great experience today, returning from Dublin. No crowds, no delays, good for pickup and drop off. Hope this airport survives and prospers for Wales' benefit.

First thing to know is that bus 301 takes from the city center to the airport, it takes about 1hr 30 mins The airport is fairly small which helps to not get lost inside and to navigate easily in it. But also, not many shops can be found there, nor food and drink places, only a couple of options which didn't suit me. Overall, it's clean, decent and the staff are friendly.

The airport is excellent, wonderful facilities, modern and clean. The only thing lacking are flights!! It was brilliant to be able to fly from Cardiff rather than Bristol. It's about time the owners, and we all know who that is, got their act together. The loss of revenue and the creation of what could be a lot of jobs is a scandal, the Welsh government should be ashamed,.

Its always a long walk from the plane to get your cases . You have to climb 3 flights of stairs on the walk which seems like a sponsored walk. You must then walk through other corridors and go down another 3 flight of stairs. No lifts are working. When you finally get through passport control there is no information on what carousel your luggage will be delivered to. Who though out this design for this airport ? . I'd like to use and support Cardiff Airport but will consider and probably choose Bristol Airport in future.

Best airport experience here. No long waits, very efficient and absolutely lovely staff! A very kind air stewardess gave us directions when we were lost and she just so happened to be on our flight to Faro and asked us if we wanted to move to the extra legroom seats as my husband is tall. There were lots of toilets at every stage we passed through, check in, security, the gates, etc. all very well cleaned and hygienic. The only negative is that the water bottle refill fountains were covered with bin bags but we the people in Costa kindly filled them up for us.

I recommend travelling from Cardiff Airport if you can, bigger than Exeter, smaller than Bristol. Everything was quick and efficient, although it was quiet as we had a 7am flight. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the security staff were especially chatty and nice which puts everyone at ease in than slightly tricky bit! Beware though, Cardiff airport is nowhere near Cardiff, a good 40 mins further towards Barry!

Pretty much the worst airport I have ever flown from. No seating in the checking area if you arrive early and the lifts up to the upper floor are well hidden. As a positive the staff are very friendly and welcoming but that doesn't really get over the place is like a converted hospital.

Cardiff Airport my nearest Airport to where I live is very quiet compared to a lot of airports around the country so ideal for me as Covid is still around. Although advised to arrive at airport 3 hours before flight we were able to be booked in and through security very quickly and able to have a cup of tea and relax before flight.

Great airport, pricey drinks, not enough places to go, as mis-managed whether by management or Welsh government intervention. Needs a sea change to bring back the glory days and properly serve the people of Wales. We own it! Let us use it.

We have flown from other airports and Cardiff is.by far the best. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the airport is easy to negotiate. We have just arrived home from Majorca and for the first time asked for special assistance. The help and support we got was brilliant especially comparing it to Palma Airport. We had to leave this review to say Thank you Cardiff for a lovely start to our holiday.

Small airport but very well staffed. No waits at security, I guess they schedule staff based on scheduled flights...how novel! Taxi rank at arrivals allows you to prepay for taxi and get a receipt before getting into the taxi. Plenty of free water fountains dotted around too. All airports should look to Cardiff and adopt these practices. Can't fault it!

Not impressed. The luggage conveyors weren't working on at departure causing delays. Staff weren't coping and didn't seem very well organised or trained. On return the automatic passport machines were playing up. Cardiff doesn't behave like a competent international airport - never has...... Handy if you're local because there aren't enough flights for it to get too busy.

Lounge was great and so were the staff on the outward part of our journey. On the return and due to staffing shortage had to wait quite a long time for our luggage. Not great at 2am when you just want to get home.

Small Airport with quick security checks and comfortable lounge. Smoking is allowed in outside room accessible from the main restaurant. Free Wi-fi for 2 hours. Public transport available. Β£5 train from Cardiff Central and Β£1 shuttle from train station to the airport. Overall nice experience.

I love Cardiff airport for its convenience, it’s simplicity and as it serves Wales. I have given it five stars for this purpose. Sadly, it is just a textbook example of the limitations of an asset in government ownership; particularly that of the Welsh Government. The whole model is uninspiring, uncompetitive, inefficient and lacks investment. In direct contrast to Bristol airport which has gone from strength over the last decade, this airport failed to win new custom, secure new routes and at its most basic level fails to serve the people of South and West Wales as a transport facility. This building it a material reminder of Welsh labours unrelenting mission to constrain the economic prospects of Wales through failing to embrace any sense of entrepreneurialism and commercial acumen.

Currently no direct public transport links to the city it serves. Quickest option an hour and a half, which involves two buses (one of which runs every hour, two hours on a Sunday) and a train. On-airport car park charges extortionate fees (I was quoted Β£80 for ten days). To be honest, if you live in Cardiff it’s cheaper, quicker and more convenient to fly from Bristol.

Flying in and out of Cardiff Airport was absolutely fantastic. Not the cheapest airport to fly from but you most certainly get the best service. It's fairly quiet meaning you get through check in and security incredibly fast. We usually fly from Birmingham Airport but after the experience we had with flying in and out of Cardiff Airport, its unlikely we'll ever fly from anywhere else. Thank you for a great experience.

We flew from Cardiff in late May and back in early June during the whitsun school holidays. The airport is fantastic for quick drop off of car to check in and security. We parked and were through security in around 30 minutes!! The staff on security were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful as we had two excited kids in tow. I’d have given a 5 star rating, but the only downfall was the selection of shops and eateries. We will 100% be booking from Cardiff again

So quiet compared to the London terminals and with that a much better airport experience.

We recently flew to Faro (Portugal) from Cardiff. We enjoyed a very good all-round experience on the way out and return. For example, the airport lounge was excellent. The staff were very friendly and efficient. On our return, we experienced a flat car battery (after standing idle for a fortnight). The airport staff quickly attended to this and we were on our way in no time.

The airport was fairly quiet, only three flights going at the time I was there. The security was quick as I have due probably to there so few flights. The duty free is a fair size and there a bar with decent food, another food area a big costas and a WHSmtih where you can get a meal deal. There is a water filling station there too. Lovely little airport, might be different if it was busier but a nice stressless experience.

Swift service but going out had a travel dry shampoo confiscated due to it being highly flamable, however W H Smiths sell exactly the same size that also says highly flamable once your through baggage check. Queried this with the security man and after a debate on why it was confiscated he gave my original one back to me. Sort your rules out cardiff Airport on what we can and cannot take through....your rules are bonkers!

Nice and relaxed atmosphere and not overly busy (arrived 3 hours before a 13:15 flight). But pricey in the bar but nothing unexpected from airport lounges. Very smooth transition through security, gates and to the plane.

It's not the biggest airport. But staff are always helpful and very polite. There are some shops inside the airport. And if you are a smoker then there is an area to go once you have passed security.

Staff polite, passport control quick and efficient

Excellent airport - easy check in, polite but effective security with minimal queues, the usual duty free store plus a couple of shops/coffee places/bar and masses of seating in lovely open area. Luggage is usually fast at arrivals too. The downsides are the limited flight/destination options and some gates can be a little walk. So much more user friendly than other UK airports we have traveled this year (Heathrow, Bristol), really need some more routes!

Not as many flights from here as there used to be, which is a shame. Nice small airport

Used to use this airport fairly often to use the flight path between Cardiff and Belfast, but then they reduced it to one a day. Bristol Airport being the better option, not too sure how cardiff Airport is still running with poor services.

Excellent covid precautions in place. Most of shops and restaurants are cashless now. Friendly helpful staff

easy parking, quick check-in, super swift, polite and dignified security. loads of space to chill, duty free and a costa. return was equally as stress free. Will definitely fly from here again.

Looks great these days, very modern and clean,I wasn't pleased with the Β£1 fee to pick up my partner's father though,it may include "up to 10 minutes" but in my opinion your either going to wait half hour and expect to pay something or expect to pretty much drive through as if you were picking up a taxi fare which I think is a bit cheeky since you do exactly the same for drop off without the fee.however he did leave behind a rucksack which we were able to retrieve very easily and all the staff were very helpful
