When reviews are consistently high like this it's difficult not to be a bit cynical, but I can vouch for every single one of them. This place is truly amazing and I have already recommended it to everyone I know, although in hindsight I should have probably kept this secret 🤣. To be fair, we were spoilt by the fact that we had the entire site to ourselves for 4 days, which made our stay all the more magical and enjoyable. We stayed Yurt 1, which has it's own private kitchen, shower and wc. I won't repeat the information already available on the website, suffice to say you're pretty much provided with everything you could possibly need. Lots of walks and areas to visit onsite and locally, and the sunsets and night skies and breathtaking. Points worth noting: Little to no mobile phone signal, although for me this was perfect, and not a bad thing. Some fairly steep hills, but as my other half constantly reminds me, "you can't have the amazing views without the hills!". Can't wait for a revisit, although suspect we'll need to book earlier, as this place only going to get more and more popular.

We have just had the most amazing time at hidden valley yurts. Myself, daughters and grandchildren have had the most wonderful time. I would recommend this hidden gem to everyone. Wonderful to see my grandchildren enjoying the out doors totally safe. Playing in the stream, running in the fields, climbing trees, making dens,priceless memories. It was so amazing to see my grandchildren run free while totally safe. I couldn't recommend this wonderful place enough. What ever you want out of a holiday it's there.

An amazing weekend away with my wife over the August bank holiday weekend. Peaceful, secluded and relaxing in a beautiful lake house in picturesque surroundings, I cannot recommend highly enough.

Thankyou Mike for creating such a wonderful place and sharing it. Top host. Everything was perfect, from the lake house to the nearly 80 acres of amazing trees, fields and the stream. You can't do anything else other than relax and feel at one with nature when you stay in the lake house. My wife and I fell in love with the place.

Absolutely amazing time at Hidden Valley ... great walks, wonderfully peaceful and lovely to have the resident spaniel, Tilly, keep us company...no chance of us getting lost! We can't wait for our next visit!

Such an amazing and magical place. We have never felt so relaxed. Mike was the most friendly and welcoming host, as was the site dog, Tilly. Our children had the best fun meeting other families, playing in the streams, using the compost toilet(!) and we had fun right beside them. Our Yurt had a private kitchen, but there was ample space and facilities for all the yurts in the community kitchen. The beds were comfy and the log burners in the yurts were a real plus. We loved watching the stars through the rain cap and playing lots of games, which were provided by the site. We will definitely be visiting again, and bringing friends with us.

Amazing recent stay with 3 other friends. Loved the location, setting, facilities, hospitality. The yurt and bathrooms were in great conditiion. The kitchen was large and well-equipped (although would take foil for the BBQ / flour for pizza oven). Lots of space to store your own food. Plenty of fire wood available. Temperature did drop a bit at night so bring warm blankets, or be prepared to top up the stove. Absolutely loved our stay and would even return with my little girl. Can't wait to visit again.

We've just stayed for 4 nights in the beautiful lake house, which I booked as a suprise for my wife's 40th. Everything was perfect, house was clean very equipt and beds were so comfy! The silence and peace is like no other and the surroundings are just stunning! Mike was so so helpful and lovely throughout. Thanks so much again we loved it!. Also loved waking up to see the highland cows every morning, oh and not to forget the cool buggy ride to the house 😁

We were lucky with the weather of course, but most happily with our welcome and help by Mike. The yurt, environment, facilities- lets say everything- was perfect. Thank you for the great time.

Amazing place, beautifully converted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Mike is a lovely guy and very helpful. I can not recommend the Lake House high enough. If you want seclusion and luxury, this is the place to go.

I've stayed here 3 times now. 12 years ago with friends, 8 years ago on my hen do and this weekend with my partner and toddler. It's been perfect every time. Don't go if you like loud music and staying up late. Go if you like waking up to the sound of the river and the smell of wood smoke. Kitchen facilities are amazing and each yurt has a private bathroom. It's secluded but feels safe. You're near others but have plenty of privacy.

We have just had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful site. The yurt was spacious and comfortable and the facilities were really good, fully equipped kitchen to share with one other yurt and it is great to have your own bathroom. Our kids (aged 13 and 11) loved it and the lift from the car park down to the yurts through the ford was the highlight of their week! Highly recommended and we hope to come back.

Mike is an extremely welcoming and considerate host. The location is beautiful and the facilities are excellent. Plan according to the weather. Lovely, peaceful retreat.

We hired the whole site for a large group of friends for a 20 year reunion which included lots of small children. The site was incredible, an absolutely perfect place to spend a few days with so many activities and adventures for the children - den making, stream damming, campfires, woodland play areas, as well as a huge number of games - we hardly had to do any parenting! Really useful and great advice from Mike to help us plan and ensure we had everything we needed to be really cosy and comfortable in the beautiful yurts which were warm and very comfy. The whole place was just amazingly well thought through with the kitchen really well stocked for large communal meals and fantastic bath/shower facilities. We can't wait to come and visit again. We were blown away by this hidden gem of a glamping site! We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Mike is the most welcoming amd helpful host! The yurts are amazing and the other facilities surpassed whatbwe were expecting. Nice loos and showers, great cookers, fridges and cupboards with ample space and decking. Wood fired pizza oven, BBQ pits (they sold bags of their own charcoal which is the best I've cooked on), fire pit, our own chickens to collect eggs from. The kids had an amazing time exploring the stream and forest. Such a relaxing setting. We didn't want for anything!!

I stayed in Yurt 1 with my girlfriend and we had an awesome time! It was really nice to disconnect from the pressures of life and relax in beautiful surroundings. We had all the facilities we needed to have a comfortable time whilst having the feeling of camping and being connected to nature. Highly recommend for couples.

Staying in self catering Lake House. Absolutely stunning. My ideal kind of break. Very quite and nice to just relax or take a walk through stunning countryside.
