Easily one of the best steakhouses in the UK! From starters to mains, each dish tasted sublime. We had the Short Rib Croquettes and Lamb Fritters to start, and ended with their signature Tomahawk Steak. Their Coconut and Pineapple Cocktail was super refreshing and paired well with the food. To top it off, the waitress Georgina was super friendly and attentive too.

Pasture was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely incredible. I had the fillet steak with mushroom sauce and was not disappointed. Though be aware, the sides were much bigger than expected. The cabbage on the coals was amazing but it’s literally half a cabbage and would easily serve 2 people with another side. The jacket potato was also amazing. Really cant recommend this place enough.

This is the first time for me to come to Cardiff, Welsh people are nice and aware of COVID-19 protection. And the most surprising thing is the lunch I had in Pasture. Every meal I ordered is incredibly delicious but the taste of the lobster toast can be a bit lighter. And the waitress who had a tall pony tail was so enthusiastic and made me love the restaurant at once.

My first time here. Wow, what a great experience! The service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive. Food arrived very quickly and got off to a great start. Then the steak arrived! Hands down the best steak I've had. Perfectly cooked and so tasty. Dessert was very good as well. I had a great time here. Book now!

We always have a really good meal here. Steak is always cooked perfectly, the staff are attentive and friendly and the nice little birthday plate they gave my husband was a lovely surprise.

My friends and I have been here for lunch for one of us' birthday. It was the first visit to this restaurant for all of us and, given the positive reviews and after reading the menu, our expectations were very high. The food and beverage assistant Katie who followed our table was always very attentive to our every need. We didn't have to refill our glasses with water or wine because she always anticipated us. The food exceeded our expectations, the raw beef starter is superb and the crispy chicken wings are a delicacy, nothing to be taken for granted. The meat is of excellent quality and served at the cooking requested by the customer! This restaurant exceeds all expectations and, with its industrial and refined style, is ideal for both an informal lunch and a special occasion! Highly recommended for those who love to experiment with new flavors of classic dishes!

Superb! Booked way in advance for an adults only lunch. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Attention to detail without bring too formal. If only more restaurants could be a bit more like this. Menu was well described and was delicious. Really tasty. Spot on, well done.

Had the pleasure of going to pasture for my works' Christmas party, I honestly can't say how good the food was, it was above outstanding. Staff were friendly and patient, catered to your every need. The food was perfect and the atmosphere superb. I will 100% visit again.

Absolutely fantastic visit, Isabella our server made the whole experience 5 star, she explained the menu to us and was very attentive. The food was sublime and we were presented with a lovely dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Went here for my partners birthday yesterday and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic the staff couldnt do enough for you. Great cocktails menu, plenty to choose from and tasted great. We ordered the 1.4kg porterhouse to share, was cooked to perfection and the dry aged meat was incredible. Served with super tasty sides of roast cabbage with bacon butter, dripping fries and a side salad. The mushroom sauce and teriyaki whiskey were the perfect accompaniment. If you're in Cardiff and looking for a high quality steak this is the place. Would highly recommend. We will back soon 100%

First visit, and I loved it. My work colleague and I went to celebrate my birthday belatedly. The staff could not have been more attentive with our order. The food was delicious. The vegan dessert was odd, but that's because neither of us are vegan but wanted to try that particular dessert. Oh, and the coffee was amazing 👏🏻

Had lunch here while in Cardiff for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Had a lovely welcome, Bella served us start to finish and was very helpful when it came to ordering as there is so much to choose from. Food was spectacular. We had Short rib Croquettes to start, then a 550g Châteubriand (medium-rare) with cabbage on the coals and baked mash with bone marrow gravy. Again, sensational food, very special place and great staff all round as we could see others getting the same welcome/conversation/enthusiasm. We were given a little anniversary treat for dessert (we weren’t ordering dessert but we kindly got this anyway which was lovely!) Will be recommending to everyone and definitely be returning in the future.

Super expensive But it was worth the money. You pay per 100grams and then they have minimum cut weights which are around 1kg. The steak works out at about 80 pounds and is advised to share between 2. We really enjoyed it. They looked after us well in a large group. Really nice staff. Really nice atmosphere we sat downstairs in a semi private area. They also do great cocktails. Recommend it.

It can be hard to get a reservation here but we managed to nab a last minute cancellation. The service here is really great. Everyone from the hostess to our waiter was really friendly and helpful. The food was incredibly delicious. It is not the best for vegetarians as you can imagine but the one or two things they do have were tasty. The steak was great. The mac and cheese was great. The garlic mushrooms were covered in roasted garlic and were delicious. The short rib croquettes were lovely. The only thing we didn’t like was the bacon crumb cabbage. This looked beautiful but just wasn’t to our taste. All in all we had a wonderful visit and can’t wait to come again.

Had the pleasure of going to pasture for our first wedding anniversary and it was the best food and service we’ve ever had. We had a superb waitress maysoon. She went above and beyond with her service. Constantly had a smile on her face and went in to so much detail with recommendations when we were stuck with what to choose. We just had to leave this review mainly for her but the food was out of this world. We both had the sirloin steak with a side of the Mac and cheese and short rib and bone marrow gravy baked mash. For dessert we had the caramel tart and smoked cheesecake and they were so kind enough to bring a plate with ice cream and a happy anniversary which was so kind. The drinks to were so well made and were so appealing to the eye. Everything about the experience made it worth the pretty penny we spent. 100% recommend and hope to have another experience with pasture again soon! Thankyou pasture.

Wow! What can I say, this place is amazing. It was our first visit and was easy to see why it's so popular. The food is out of this world. The place looks great and the staff are friendly, professional and very helpful. Nothing pretentious are OTT about the place. Simply great food, in a great atmosphere with great staff. I'd encourage any meat lover to eat here. It will be worth the wait for a table.

Pass this place while visiting Cardiff a few times, always looked a good place to visit. Looked online to book a table, could see it's a very popular place to eat. You probably have to book well in advance. Got a reservation. Great staff and service. Food was fantastic. Enjoyed my visit, will be returning soon.

Such a brilliant place. Specialise in steaks with various cuts available. Usual fillet, sirloin etc for smaller portions. Larger cuts such as tomahawk for those sharing. Steaks cooked in a charcoal oven which gives them great flavour. Staff there are also great and enthusiastic about the place.Been there a few times now and it is consistently excellent in my view. Not the cheapest but the best. Menu is available on the Internet. Booking also advisable as it's very busy.

Had a fantastic meal, the family all agreed we had the best fillet steak we've ever had. Every part of the meal was A+ for starters crispy fried chicken wings, lobster toast, crispy squid. Side dishes of dripping chips, spinach gratin, grilled Portobello mushrooms. Chocolate Dom for desert and a nice cappuccino to finish. Will definitely be back soon for another helping. Waiter was very friendly and helpful too, as were the other staff, very accommodating. Wish I had taken more photos!

Ate recently here for a birthday treat, it was ‘nice’ but not not excellent - I have eaten at the Bristol restaurant 4/5 times & this one just isn’t as good on many levels. The atmosphere felt more ‘canteen like’ and less intimate & not special really. That said the meal - we had a porterhouse steak- was nice however not worth the money. I’ve never though that about Bristol Pasture. If we fancy a big chunk of meat agsin will go to Bristol!

Me and two friends visited Pasture tonight as we are working in Cardiff for a short stint. It was a great atmosphere and friendly professional welcome from the get go. We ordered and were advised by Daniel who was serving us. Daniel was extremely helpful and made our service run smoothly. The bread and starters we had were delicious and we were already super satisfied T this point but we had ordered mains. When our mains arrived we were in heaven! My Fillet steak was the best iv ever had. Truffle fries and broccoli side were impressive and the bernaise sauce was amazing. We couldn’t eat all of our main and we decided to take it home and order a desert. We all had the sticky toffee pudding which was delightful and the whole meal was well priced. 100% recommend and will return again. 10/10

This was my first visit to Pasture Cardiff and to say I was impressed is an understatement, I took my 86yr old mother and 29yr old daughter for food. From start to finish our experience was flawless. The Hostess Gemma that seated us was so polite and welcoming, and our server Lyn spent time and patience explaining the menu and recommending what side to go with our meal. Also Owen who sat with my 86yr old mother explaining what was in each starter and mains that she ordered, to finally Mateo who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and enjoying our experience at Pasture. Not only were the staff amazing but the food was out of this world. I have never enjoyed having food out as much as I did tonight. We will definitely be returning, thank you for such an amazing experience.

Our dinner at Pasture was quite exceptional. Our waitress Lin was amongst the most welcoming and hospitable we’ve ever encountered, she went out of her way to explain the menu and its various machinations. Throughout the meal she was attentive and determined to ensure we had a good time. The steaks were to die for, the atmosphere simply fabulous. All told this was an outstanding experience. Highly recommended.

Although limited Vegan options on the menu, everything I had was absolutely perfection. The mushroom crockets and the squash with crispy cale were 10/10. Just amazing! The vegan honey glazed carrots were tasty, but a little too sweet for my liking. I ended up using the sauce from the squash on the carrots. Easy 5! Staff are so friendly, and go above and beyond, and the atmosphere here was so nice. The food tasted incredible, most tender steak I've had in my life. Desserts were outstanding. I even got a little bowl of water and lemon to wash my hands after devouring the chicken wings, which I've never had before. Overall, this place is next level, and there's nothing to fault, I highly recommend this place if you want a chill, tasty experience.

I visited the restaurant with my friends on Thursday, based on a friend's recommendation, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The customer service was outstanding, and the manager - James, made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The food was delicious, exceeding our expectations. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its great customer service and very tasty food. Also, the best scallops I ever had! Definitely coming back!

I tried to get a reservation last Friday but couldn't, however by booking online Saturday morning there was availability for that same evening. The squid starter was just ok as I've had better. However, the steak was delicious and my knife cut through it like butter. It was initially too pink, yet the staff accommondated my request for extra cooking. This accommodation also extended to my partner, as he was able to ask for his mac and cheese to be taken back and recooked without bacon. I have a nut allergy and the manager was quick to identify the inappropriate dishes on the menu. The customer service is top notch, the food came in a timely manner and with bountiful portions. The venue played dance music, thus creating a vibrant atmosphere. It was my first time dining at Pasture and so pleased I was able to experience it.

Enjoyed a sunny, Spring afternoon at Pasture, and as always it was a great experience. Super tasty food (though, this time, I would have liked the fat on my lamb rendered down a little more), great service, and lovely vibe in the generous open space of the restaurant. And they kindly acknowledged our anniversary, after only a brief mention 🙂

Everyone who served us or explained dishes to us was wonderful. Our server was lovely and looked after us so well, she was such a star! We’ve booked again for our next big occasion in September and can’t wait to visit again. The food was divine and I think the best steak I’ve ever had, cooked perfectly to our request.

The Pasture restaurant offers an astounding menu for all steak lovers. Located in the heart of Cardiff and just a stone throw away from the castle, make it a perfect place for any occasion. I couldn't book the table online for my husband's birthday, but I contacted them by email, hoping there would be something they could do as it's our favourite restaurant, and I was really over the moon when they said they could squeeze us in. We had the pleasure of tasting their steak. Both of the fillet and sirloin were fantastic. The Baked Mash - which was short rib, bone marrow gravy - was absolutely remarkable. Who would have thought that there could be so much flavour in the blue cheese salad - which was a baby gem and house cured bacon. Hubby also got the complimentary birthday treat. Simply gorgeous!

Both outstanding food and service. Unbeatable!!! Literally every time I've been here it's the same, amazing! Wonderful atmosphere too, lunch time and evening. Fantastic with children. Couldn't ask for anymore. We love it here.

Gorgeous food - had the private room downstairs for a party of 15 people and the 3 course menu. Every single person loved their meal and thought the food was fantastic. Would definitely go again....and again.

Fantastic meal. Staff are very friendly and polite 😊 the place was clean, tables laid out with plenty of space to be able to move around. We opted for the tomahawk steak, which was suggested to us by the waitress, this was absolutely stunning.. we have already booked for another visit in October and cannot wait.

Wow, what an unexpected pleasure this restaurant was! Super friendly staff, a gorgeous menu, incredible ambience (including private rooms downstairs) and lip-smacking, delicious ingredients cooked to perfection. The beef croquettes with Korean mayonnaise were absolutely insane. If you're visiting Cardiff, make a beeline straight from the station (less than 10 minutes walk), you won't be disappointed!

One of the best stakes I had in ages, the starters are amazing and the service was spot on!!! Juan recommended the starters and we really really enjoyed them!!! For sure will revisit when in Cardiff!

I took my husband here for his birthday last night. He had the Cote De Boeuf and I had the chicken meal. We also ordered an array of starters and sides. The service was absolutely superb; our server was attentive, intuitive and super speedy throughout our 2hr visit. The food was indescribably delicious! My husband is a bit of a steak connoisseur and he told me that the Cote de Boeuf was the best he'd ever tasted. Certainly, my chicken meal was the most succulent and mouth-watering that I've ever experienced. I can happily recommend Pastures (though do book in advance due to the tremendous popularity of the place) and my husband and I will definitely be back again soon.

Tasty and good quality steak (we ordered 2 big cuts to share) cooked to perfection. The ground floor is young and lively but a bit too noisy in my opinion. However downstairs offers tables for larger parties and the atmosphere is calmer. My girl got a free ice cream dessert with a candle for her birthday. Very thoughtful from the waiter (who asked multiple times what was the occasion).

I took my wife here for her birthday yesterday after so many people have raved about the place! The service we received from Kath was second to none! She was very friendly and very helpful when it came to us asking advice as to what to order! As for the food? Both my wife and I said neither of us has EVER tasted a nicer meal in our lives! Came here with my girlfriend for dinner and our waiter was lovely. The food was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly! In order to get a reservation for around 7pm I had to book it 3 months in advance. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you get the chance to! Fair prices for amazing food and wine

This place was exceptional, you felt special the minute you walk through the door. Table service and general customer service second to none. The food was worth the wait, the porterhouse steak was without exaggerating, the best steak I’ve had for years! Highly recommended, will be going back for many more special meals.

Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant from the host who was super friendly (didn’t catch her name), Chloe who served us in the bar was really personable, genuinely lovely to chat to and nothing was too much for her! Then Juan our server for the evening was excellent, walked us through the menu, recommended dishes and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. Overall the food was 10/10 and the service was even better. We will be back soon!!

The perfect place to have a special meal. We had the most attentive hostess and the food was incredible. The guidance when ordering was extremely helpful and we left perfectly full. The steak was cooked to perfection and I wholly recommend the teriyaki whisky sauce - absolutely out of this world. If you're only going to have one thing to share as a starter - get the pork croquettes. These bites were HEAVENLY. The pictures don't do the meal justice. We have already booked to go again!

Absolutely exceptional in every way. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was first class. Our waiter was Matteo and he was fantastic. Really helpful, friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were having a brilliant experience. Another waitress whose name I didn’t catch was also just as brilliant as Matteo. We had heard a lot of hype about Pasture prior to our visit, and without a shadow of a doubt it was 100% true. Blown away by the whole experience. Thank you!
