Been there last year for a sprained foreharm that had swollen up, was seen in 40 mins, xray took 20mins in total; very fast compared to Northern where you could spend your whole day there, being treated like you dont exsist. Will need to go again as ive hurt my right ankle, may be another sprain, but unfortunately am hearing its closed due to covid. May have to grit my teeth, take my chances and waste away at Northen.

I visited the minor injuries unit today having fell up the stairs (yes, up not down!) and I was seen within 15 minutes, had an x Ray within an hour. All of the staff were so lovely and friendly, and I cannot fault any part of the service. Very organised, I was notified what was going to happen at each stage which was really reassuring as I was hobbling around. A wonderful resource for us in Sheffield and not having to trek across to the Northern General Hospital to be seen is a massive bonus. Thank you to our wonderful NHS staff in Sheffield.

Told I would have an hour wait. 110 minutes later saw a disinterested old nurse who poo-pooed the dried blood in my ear from a huge discharge of random blood. The physical examination was agony but no concern for me. No interest or concern as to why I woke up with an ear full of blood. Sent packing as a waste of her time

Absolutely outstanding!! Arrived around 930 Sunday morning assessed by Gaynor who was lovely, 3 x-rays and a boot fitted by Lynn after the injury was shown to be a break...I had a moment where I thought I was going to pass out and everyone rallied round with biscuits and water, laid me down until I felt well enough to go for my standing x-ray...home at 1130

Brilliant service 🥰💯 I went to this unit on Saturday afternoon and only wait around 30 minutes because luckily few people are needed the service at that moment. Doctor is professional and reception is helpful.

Really good unit to have available in Sheffield but the receptionist lets the whole place down. The receptionist on Sunday 25th Feb didn’t smile at anyone who approached the desk and was quite rude to me and others I saw trying to check in. Really needs a customer service course because that is not gow a front of house person should behave! Nurse and Radiographer really nice though.

Was seen straight away by reception with a friendly receptionist, waited for 15minutes for a quick examination, straight through for x-ray, waited 10minutes for scans, had broken femur with a bone tumor on knee cap, temporary cast put on and sent straight to northern general, lovely staff, very caring and concerned, helped any way they could, very quick and understanding which was great! 5* service!

Only given it a one as cannot give it a zero, the most uncaring experience I have ever received. No thought of the harm/clinical risk just refused to see me despite being advised to go there by another nurse. All handled by a rather unfriendly receptionist , nursing staff didn't make an assessment. Quite willing to allow my condition to deteriorate, I am reporting them to the CQC. Please dont go if you need help you wont receive it.

Janice Gosling 😍 Attended the minor injuries department on Saturday 29th October with a broken wrist. Excellent service, short wait, all staff very friendly, helpful and kind. Wrist xrayed, put in plaster and immediately referred to virtual fracture clinic at Northern General for a follow up appointment. Very efficient, great communication from Northern General Hospital by letter, phone call and Pathways App for my next appointment tomorrow. Really appreciate the caring service. Janice Gosling

I wound just like to say a big thank you to all staff from the receptionist the male nurse x ray department staff I was in just over one hour that’s all. I had broke some bones on the top of my foot and underneath due to a fall. So happy with the service well done to all. I was dreading going to wait for hours but all went good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful service being offered here. I'd never heard of it until I needed it. Attended this morning, was seen by a nurse, x-rayed and then received treatment in around an hour. Everyone I encountered was friendly and kind.

I went to MIU today, sent there from the walk-in clinic on Broad Street. Had to wait 1 and half hours but well worth it. Excellent attention, X-rays taken immediately and all well explained by the nursing staff. Competent and friendly! Thank you!

The whole staff was amazing and very kind to me. Beth visited me for a broken ankle and I got a splint and crutches. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses and the nurses in the X ray department were very nice and made the whole experience less traumatic than it could have been. Highly recommended!

My 98yr old mother fell and cut her head open, the receptionist and medical staff were lovely with her. Stitched her up and reassured her. Brilliant service. Thank you ☺️

When people talk about how the nhs should be, this is a shining example. I was seen in around 30 minutes or so (it wasn't that busy when I was there). All the staff were very polite and helpful. I had a stitch and some glue done on my scalp, after I fell, and I'm glad I went.

Went due to suspected broken foot at 630pm, supposed to open while 8, told to come back in the morning, too many people to see, absolute joke.

First visit was a 3hr wait so I left. 2nd visit today everybody got told to leave if and walk 20min to a another walk in clinic. Awful service.

Yet again an abismal service, the nurse was rude and not a caring bone in her body, I was listening to the nurses whilst waiting and both had awful attitudes. I'm a healthcare professional with extensive sports injury training, the examination of my ankle was amateur. Admittedly the service was fast but I think I'll be going to the Northern next time with the hope of seeing someone who's competent.

The very few times I have had to use this unit, the reception staff have been very understanding and very professional. Most recently, yesterday, Bank Holiday, pandemic.... the MIU could not offer the advice I needed but they did everything they possibly could to make sure that I got the necessary help.

Thought it was open 8-8 but according to the old snotty receptionist, we were turned away at just after 7pm and told to go back the next day as patients would be being xrayed. Not helpful and false advertising wouldn’t have made the 25 mile round trip if I’d have known it was closed. Save yourself the journey and be prepared to wait at a&e or see gp, at least they will see you

Amazing! Went on a sunday at about 11am, the wait time was just over 1 hour to get seen, then 10 mins wait for an xray. The receptionist, nurses and radiographer were all really friendly and helpful. They figured out I probably have a ruptured ACL/LCL so gave me crutches, booked me in to see the knee doctor and gave me a referal for a physio. The nurse answered any questions I had and reassured me about any concerns. She gave me a booklet with guidance about early management of knee injuries with exercises I can do until I see the physio to help with recovery. Thank you!!!

Inappropriate senior staff! came here after getting something stuck under my nail which was causing me pain and discomfort. Staff nurse said might be able to get it out with a needle in doing so she jabbed me in the finger which caused me to yell out. The senior nurse Rachael said 'Well that's got to hurt', of course it hurt you silly cow! maybe should try looking at your PROUD values again!

Lovely staff, great for minor injuries waiting time is nowhere near as long as a&e..... should be promoted more as I don't think many people are aware this place still exists
