We attended the Gin Tasting Masterclass and it was a great evening. I really enjoyed learning about the process of making gin and all the tasting went down well too 🤣🤣. Adam and Dan really know their stuff and the interactive session was really informative and fun. I'd recommend having something to eat first before you go...to line your stomach for the alcohol consumption!

Guys were superb. Lots of local distilling knowledge that isn't widely known and told with great charisma. Gin samples were very good with unique tastes. Will be back to buy bottles of their gins following the tasting experience.

Just finished the Discovery Tour, a double gin on arrival was a nice touch, perfectly hosted by Alan and Dan, very informative history of Aberdeen's distilling history and the process of making gin, samples a plenty on offer, my pictures don't do the venue justice, had a great time, would highly recommend to anyone visiting Aberdeen whether you're a gin lover or not!!

Fantastic experience. Educational and very interesting. End up making your own bottle of gin. The 2 guys who run the distillery are very nice and professional. Highly recommended

Hidden gem! So glad we took the discovery tour. Alan and Dan are so friendly. Learnt a lot about gin while sipping a freshly distilled G&T.

My wife and I toured Scotland in September-October 2021, and spent two days in Aberdeen. We saw the City of Aberdeen Distillery advertised, and decided to call in. We're glad we did! The distillery is small, set in a railway arch, with two friends running it. One makes the gin, the other runs the shop (etc.). We were welcomed, and offered samples of 3-4 gins. We love gin, so this was great. Even though we had arrived impromptu, and certainly not on "a tour", we were shown around, and the gin manufacturing process described. We loved the bramble gin, and bought a bottle (since returning home, we have ordered two more by mail order). Well worth your visit if in the area. Booking ahead might be a better choice than just rocking up as we did.

Thanks to Alan and Dan for an amazing gin tour. Loved hearing about the history of distilling in Aberdeen and lots of amazing gins sampled. I definitely want to go back and do the gin school to create my very own bottle.

Had a great experience doing the gin making! Alan and Dan were welcoming and very knowledgable about the history of gin. They were also very helpful when it came to choosing botanicals for our own gins, advising what would work well together and what effect and taste they would have. Having never tried City of Aberdeen gin before, we had the opportunity to try many different flavours and came away with some bottles on top of our own. Overall we had a great experience, I think mostly due to the passion for their craft that Alan and Dan showed throughout. Would definitely recommend to all, even non-gin drinkers as my boyfriend was one of those when we turned up and had converted by the time we left!

Discovery tour, 1 hour to learn about and taste gin. While I’m not a gin drinker, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It’s a small and delightfully rustic place and the guys love to talk and teach about gin. Gin is a far more interesting and diverse drink than I’d imagined.

A fabulous way to spend an afternoon (or a morning if you are a morning person) in Aberdeen. This Gin masterclass was a birthday treat and one of the best I have ever received. I did not exactly know what to expect so I would not want to spoil it for someone else but let’s say that if you are a gin lover this is definitely for you. Don & Alan, the founders of Aberdeen city Gin distillery have for sure polished their masterclass: there is no rest for one’s curiosity and enthusiasm. While your learn about spirits, gin, the distilleries in Aberdeen and the shire, visit the facility, get a glimpse of the process and have a very generous taste of the house production, you understand you are going to professionally make your own gin! and this is a huge responsibility! All those spices, flowers, herbs... It is a very good thing that Alan & Don guide you through your choices to help materialise one of your dreams in a bottle you will bring home, named, labelled and sealed. The temptation is too big to put too much! Then, once home starts another one which is : wait for the aromas to settle and apparently it takes 3 months!

Absolutely fantastic evening at the gin masterclass. Alan and Dan were fantastic hosts - so knowledgeable and passionate about gin and the city of Aberdeen. This should be an absolute “must do” activity for locals and visitors to Aberdeen. Just brilliant - a really unique experience.

Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Learned a lot about Gin and tasted a few different flavours. If we had time would have loved to take the Gin School and try to make my own flavoured gin

Had a great time touring the distillery! The history, process of making it, and the tasting were all super fun and interesting. Best part was the tasting included 4-5 different types of gin and really opened my imagination to new drink ideas. Would definitely recommend!

Best expirenace we had. The people running this business are so passionate and care to create the best tasting gin. Excellent quality alcohol. We had the tasting masterclass and we enjoyed it. We would love to take the gin making class but unfortunately we didn't had time. A must visit place if you find yourself to Aberdeen

Amazing visit. We were looking for things to do in Aberdeen so booked into a tour. From the moment you walk in both Dan and Allen make you feel so welcome and immediately take an interest in you before the tour even starts. Throughout the tour, both of them were incredibly knowledgeable, interesting, and had a great sense of humour. They made every effort to engage us throughout the tour and the gin tasting at the end really topped it off. If you’ve got a spare hour whilst exploring Aberdeen, checking out the City of Aberdeen Distillery is a must!

We did the gin making class. Alan and Dan are great hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of samples consumed during our 3+ hours and we each made our own bottle of custom gin to take-away.

The Discovery Tour was fantastic, really interesting to get an insight into the distilling process and learn a huge amount about both gin and the history of distilling in Aberdeen. The guys are really knowledgeable, friendly and great presenters for the tour. Getting to sample the products was a bonus!

Enjoyed every bit of it. Allen and Dan were amazing and welcome you with a glass of Gin. We booked the tour online and after reaching, we were the only person for the tour. But that didn't shook their confidence. They start explaining from history of distillery in gray city to how you can makke your own personal GIN. They were answering all the questions we had. It just made our day. They follow all the covid guidelines.

Loved the Gin Masterclass! Allen and Dan really know what they are talking doing and share their passion for creation, innovation and gin with their guests. Loved the welcome glass of gin and would love to come back and distill our own gin from their over 100 choices of botanicals. A definite must when you're in town!

Me and my partner went on the Discovery Tour. Allan and Dan were both amazing and very knowledgeable, you can see that they enjoy what they do, which is always great to see. Would 100% recommend. We shall be back for the proper gin school experience, for sure.

The Discovery Tour was a great way to spend an hour, learning about the history of distilling in Aberdeen, finding out how gin is made and trying some of the distillery's own output. Alan and Dan were great hosts and were genuinely interested in making it a great experience for everyone.

Received a Distillery Experience as a present and had a fantastic time. Alan and Dan were great hosts and made the experience interesting, interactive and fun with lots of local history and facts thrown in plus the gin was very good. I have done various gin tastings etc around Scotland and this was the most enjoyable by far. I don't usually do a google review unless I am very impressed so I would totally recommend a visit to this gin distillery.

Amazing evening at the gin masterclass with City of Aberdeen Distillery. Very knowledgable hosts and such an interesting idea teaching people about the individual botanicals which can make up a gin - I’ve never been to a tasting like it before and would definitely recommend!

Great place and people. Booked the tour of the distillery and found out plenty interesting facts about distilling in Aberdeen and what goes into it. Looking forward to returning for tasting and/or make your own Gin. Excellent.
