Stunning and very long beach! Seahouses at one end (with a pretty harbour and lots of great fish and chips shops) and the imposing Bamburgh castle at the other. Quite a long walk between the two though. If you want fresh air, a sandy beach, crashing waves, surfers and lots of interesting shells, jellyfish and seaweed to see too then you have to visit this place. Wonderful for your soul!

Beautiful clean 👌 beach with miles of golden sand. The views of Bamburgh Castle are fantastic and can also see the Farne islands. The car park is a sort but steep walk through the sand dunes.

Lovely clean and tidy beach, with some great sand dunes to walk through. You get some amazing views of Bamburgh Castle and the North Sea. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Located right next to the castle and the village with numerous dunes with numerous paths leading to the castle and the village. Lots of space for everyone. Great for walks with kids and a dog.

Sandy dunes , wide open beach , beautiful castle in background 🏰. Perfect place to spend whole day ,if weather is warm and sunny , there is no need to travel abroad! 💓. And your dog 🐕 will get tired definitely.

Fantastic clean beach & sand dunes with views over the Farne Islands & Bamburgh Castle. Great for dogs. Pay & Display car park next to the castle & a few minutes from Bamburgh cafes, toilets and shops.

A lovely experience, a beautiful place to go. I expect it's even busier when the weather is nice. Although we still saw people building sand castles and going for a paddle. Great fun to be had by all here. And of course, great views of the castle.

One of the best beaches in Northumberland. A large clean beach with dunes and a castle. What more do you need?!? It’s a beautiful spot to walk the dogs on a cold or sunny day. Tip The village of Bamburgh is also worth visiting. With shops, bars, restaurants and most importantly…an ice cream shop. Walk north along the coast to Bodle. The bays around there have white sand, are sheltered and tend to be quieter.

Beautiful and extensive sandy beach, with great views over the dunes to the castle, and out over the Farne Islands. Very clean and well kept, and pleasantly quiet, even in late July. Ideal for a walk by the sea, and dog friendly too.

Best beach we have been to...full stop. Not the easiest to walk to from the Car Park but fully worth the effort.

We have walked this beach more times than I can remember. It has always been one of our favourite East Coast beaches, clean great walking and amazing bird life and endless dunes.

Fantastic beach, cold and windy in the winter, very imposing with the castle in the background. Great place to spend some time in the summer, arrive early to avoid the crowds.

Nice flat beach with soft sand, the sort of sand that gets everywhere. Easy to walk on if you stick to where the sand is damp.

New favourite place to take the dog. Only stopped on the way past so will need to make a day of it.

Walked across the dunes, to the beach, on a very bitterly cold, but sunny day in March 2023. A beautiful dune and beach area. Would love to come back in summer, and spend the day in this area. Unfortunately, I think the popularity in Summer, would make this impossible.

Wonderful expansive sandy beach that goes on and on. It has views across to the Farne Islands and, depending on where you are, of Bamburgh Castle too. Some fascinating rocks to wander over and through too.
