Garry Evans is a very nice and helpful person. He was extremely helpful and couldn't do anymore to help me spend my money lol. All members of his staff are all really helpful in all fairness. I would highly recommend any inexperienced angler who is just starting up to go to Garry Evans' shop for advice

Last time I was in his shop I was 22 now I'm nearly 60 he's always been excellent with info that was for sea fishing back in the day now I do carp and pike always sells top gear for any angler's

They pretty much got everything you want, very helpfull and friendly staff. My go to place. Bait is as good as it gets and usually got everything in stock. Pre-order crab.

Knowledgeable staff, very helpful. Terrific stock range and all baits available, just love the place and have done for the last 20 odd years. Still think it is the best tackle shop in Cardiff,over 30 years now. Just bought another Rod and Reel, I would have spent more but with their advice I bought a balanced set up which should see me casting even further.

Having decided to return to fly fishing after a 30 years break from it, I decided to visit this store today with the intention of purchasing all the essentials tackle I need to enable me to get back out on the water again. This store offers an extensive range of fly tackle, clothing, etc at very competitive prices! In comparison to other outlets and online retailers you would be really hard pushed to find another store with such a fantastic range of fly fishing goods at such great prices & friendly, knowledgeable customer service. I visited with my 4 year old staff engaged with my boy and proper helped me out with advice. This is now my go to place for everything I need

Well stocked, helpful staff - recently bought a new fly-rod and was given the chance to take a rod to a local park to try it out. Every time I go in I'm welcomed with a smile and given great advice. Love this place.

Awesome shop, excellent range of fly fishing stock, from reels, rods fly tying materials waders etc. Super helpful staff, I spoke to a gentleman on the phone who advised me on the best flies to tie for my local rivers and said to pop down for a chat. I’m so glad I did! Being a beginner in the fly tying world the gentlemen I spoke to (didn’t catch his name) showed me what I truly needed and what I didn’t in order to tie the advised flies and gave a lot of helpful advice on different variations I can tie with a small amount of materials. Can’t thank him enough! Incredibly helpful and a wealth of knowledge. I’ll be back down next week for a chat and to see what I did right/wrong on the flies I tied! Highly recommend, absolute hidden gem of a shop. Oh and very good prices too!
