Went in to buy a ring that was priced up at 45quid when I went to pay for it they wanted 80 I said I should get it at the price I seen it at and was then told they have a right to refuse to sell it me and they refused lost my custom and my family's custom and we have shop there for over thirty years and this review keeps getting took off

Drove down from denton after speaking to a lady saying they could possibly offer higher then scrap value for gold, once I got there I was offered half of the scrap value.

Mays is a brillaint store for jewellery always have a wide, varied stock in store and online and with multiple locations, you'll never have far too travel. If an item is in another store they'll shift it to your local one which is a nice touch! Ayla served us here today. She was a great help and very easy and pleasant to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. She is an asset to this business. Thanks Ayla.

Wow thinkin now i never realised jus how long iv been coming mays through end of teens & am 38 now .av never been to any other place as its always been nice calm relaxed place with a security guard whos been there for a long time to & hes stil the politest iv ever met yet the staff well the staff are like you wish all staff were nice polite thorough in their work speak friendly they dont sit behind the counter chatting away if theres more staff theres no mobile phone facade & your never waiting long for the whole time ya there its a great help when you need a lil cash put ya earrings in pay ya bill get them bak out with jus a couple of quid extra its worth it when ya have to watch ya money

I have been to Mays jewellers several times now to have my rings repaired, over the years. Took two rings to be repaired last Saturday, got a phone call Thursday to say they were ready to be collected. There repairs are done on sight, so no need to wait weeks. Excellent service once again. Staff very friendly and helpful. My rings look new again and at an affordable price! Thank you il be be back 🙂

Happy friendly staff who are very helpful. You can use it as for Thompson exchange collection to get the best rates in Manchester by far on your travel money. Means you get online rates without the worry of it going missing. The second hand jewelery is very well priced, couldn't leave without a little treat. Will be back

Alex and Joanne were both great today, helped get my very last minute currency sorted for my holiday tomorrow morning. Alex also supported yesterday when I was worried about delivery time scales. She contacted the provider to make sure my order would arrive on time and called me back to reassure me. Thank you both!

Found the service to be quite rude, 3 times I said I was selling euro and the clerk still asked me how much euros I wanted. When I asked about the better rates on the website that I used to find the shop she told me go through them and was very ignorant about it. I assumed that cutting out the middle man would be a better deal for us both but apparently not. Spoke to 2 bulldogs in total.

I've had to use this pawnbrokers recently due to finances being a little tight I must say the staff and management go above and beyond the call of duty If you're feeling a bit low when you go in here i know you will always come out with a smile on your face and feeling a little bit better than when you went in 10 out of 10 guys keep up the great work you do Thanks very much

I brought a ring I had been bought as a gift in to be resized as it was a touch too small due to an inaccurate sizing guide in the shop it was bought in, Ayla was incredibly helpful with helping me to find the size I needed and even made a note that I was going to be out of the country so if the ring wasn’t going to be finished before I left that I would be contacted so I could bring it back in to be repaired when I returned home after my trip. The ring was back in very quick time and I was able to collect before my trip and it now fits perfectly! Excellent service and I will definitely be using Mays Jewellers for all of my jewellery repair needs in the future!
