The 5 star reviews must come from members of staff because this company needs to fire all the staff they have at current and hire people who actually are there to help , They speak down to people and try to belittle you as if you are nothing . They try to intimidate and also pressurized you into things . Even other housing groups say they have a very bad reputation and to avoid them at all costs if you want a house look elsewhere because they are not there to help they are there to abuse and manipulate and do things out of spite.

I have had issues, first with Equity and then after they amalgamated with great places. They keep pestering me every morning on the internal intercom system. I am sick & tired of telling different people not to call me every morning. I don't want it or need it. What I do need is these people to stop dictating to me, it's my way or the highway! I have sent numerous complaints about this to great places, but as usual they just bury their heads in the sand & take no notice of residents requests.

I bought the flat from great places after renting for 5 years, I was paying £101 per week in rent including service charges. After I bought the flat they started to behave as if they didn't care about me because I am not their tenant anymore, which I understand. They then started increasing my service charges drastically every year, I am the only one that owned a flat in that building and the rest are all my neighbours that are social tenants and pay less than £500 per month including service charges (I confirmed this with 7 tenants). great places charge me £250 per month for just service charge (plus mortgage), I feel that great places are not helping me, I spoke to a few people at great places and asked why I was paying so much maintenance and the reply was that I am leasehold and my maintenance is different than the tenant's!! Even though we all get the same service. My partner suffers from blood cancer and I lost my job 8 months ago, I requested great places and plum life to buy the flat back from me, but apparently, they can not afford to buy it back. I have put it on the open market due to the disgusting roof in front of my flat and due to the high service charges no one is interesting in buying my flat. I already shared pictures of the mess on the roof with a housing officer which is causing flies and mosquitos to come in and we cannot open the window but nothing has been done. I advise all tenants please please do not buy any flat from them if you don't want to suffer like I am suffering right now.

Where do I start? This is the worst organization that I've ever ever had to enjoy. I have never come across the most disgraceful housing regulations on them trying to break housing laws in all breaks of the UK, and I'm getting a bit fed up with his people thinking that they can run rings around me and try and believe that they can break the law within the housing regulations which unfortunately this awful company has done.

They are not very good, there workmen, are rubbish, they never clear the, rubbish, in the communal garden, the don't trim there heabges, there's no lead flashing on anyone's upper flats, they don't prone the trees in garden, plus they Gave a shed full of junk, and didn't bother emptying it first, so not very great places, at all.

In a nutshell...Terrible company. I suggest if you've had issues with this company to make official complai ts to the Housing ombudsman. They failed to repair a malfunctioning/broken boiler and the drinking water tap had fragments from it. It was like this for over 2 months. I complained during this period several times but nothing was done. Only after the rent was stopped did they decide to contact me about paying but nothing about my complaints. I have had to go to the ombudsman as they have tried to fabricate the truth and fob me off.

I had a repair booked for Friday 26th January because slats had come off my roof. I was told they were coming between 12.00 and 15.30 , I was in kitchen about 10.30 and saw the great places van pull up and they sat in the van and looked at my roof then drove away. Then I got a message to say they were on their way. At 1400 they had not been I rang up to be told they were not coming until February 28th No reason given. My rent goes up but the service gets worse.

If I could give zero star I would, they are the worst housing provider, I have never seen such disgraceful organization, I have been dealing with them for 1 year now and they can't resolve my issue which is anti-social behaviour, poor customer service.

I cancelled two appt for the gas maintenance and I did say I am having treatment so the next appt I would be available on they offered me the next day of the cancelled one I explain I wouldn't be available then I was told that my gas would be capped if I didn't take one. Disgraceful, but it's alright to not let you know when they can't come twice in winter

Most horrible housing association ever not even deserve one star , months of anti social behaviour, over 30 police logs and arrests over 30 council crime logs and so far nothing has been done, started my first stage complain, gonna take great places to court with housing lawyers and housing ombudsman is already involved, and written complain to council and MP, no one in great places are there to do their job or shall I say none are qualified for their job, from the repair team to different housing officer every few weeks.this place need to be shut down and be taken over by council , they putting people with special needs mental health disability’s and physical heath disability’s in more danger than protecting them. Great places should change their name to disgrace places.

Great Places are poor throughout! 3 years of anti social behaviour at Jubilee Court which they never dealt with which included smashed windows, doors, death threats, assault. Neighbour was arrested several times and due in crown court thanks to the Police and Great Places did nothing. The person who put me through all this is still at his property and I had to move. A victim is always a victim when dealing with Great Places. Taking it further through my MP, local press etc. The anti social neighbour has since been to court and to stop me giving three years of evidence the coward pleaded guilty at the last minute to harassment, criminal damage etc. He got a two years conditional discharge and nearly £500 fine. Great Places did nothing!!!! Please complain direct to your local MP and try to raise a complaint to the Housing Ombudsman to Stage 3 which Great Places cannot afford to have attached to their already poor name and standards. I’m in the process of multiple dealings against them now I have the verdict from the courts that I told them all along about and they ignored. They then send you letters stating you’ve made no complaints since moving in which I did on the very first week but they move people around so it gets hidden and make excuses. Please report them direct to Council, MP and Ombudsman before talking to them as they will fob you off with unskilled badly trained staff. You can’t give lower than one star or I would. So many bad reviews. What’s funny is two people who work for them give them five star…wonder why. Even they’re not honest like the company they work for. We can see through those review…don’t take us for fools!!!!
