Gurdwara Ramgarhia Sabha

Sikh temple

😐 It's funny how you only feel comfortable in one place of worship . I do go to other temples but never feel at peace. My parents used to worship here for years, and now since they have passed ,I come here and it feels like I can feel my dad still sitting in the spot he used to sit, I'm glad to see... People often mention gurdwara,

It's funny how you only feel comfortable in one place of worship . I do go to other temples but never feel at peace. My parents used to worship here for years, and now since they have passed ,I come here and it feels like I can feel my dad still sitting in the spot he used to sit, I'm glad to see that they have updated hand dryers and sinks in the women's shoe area, also carpets seem alot cleaner. They serve the best parshad Always tasty even when it's cold. Parking is a pain though , unless it's Sunday or you're attending a funeral. Just be careful though when having a function here, don't leave your bags or phones lying around, years ago my nieces phoned got stolen from the dining hall ,she only put it down for a minute.

Dirty toilets. Dirty kitchen floor. Disgusting. Elders have no sense of food hygiene. They should be reported to the council environmental department. Rice left outside for hours not refrigerated. Food poisoning etc. I tried telling elders but they have no sense of communication and respect for younger generation. I am not local so left it at that. My daughters asked if their are any courses or trips for kaurs in summer and was thobbed off charming.

This historic gurdwara in Southall truly holds a special place in the Sikh community. Established in 1911, it effortlessly combines nostalgia and a strong sense of connection. The presence of Sikhs from Kenya adds to the vibrant community spirit that still thrives today. The beautifully painted art on the walls serves as a captivating educational resource, showcasing the rich history of Sikhism. The fact that these artworks are well-maintained is refreshing, as it preserves their beauty and significance. For those who visited this gurdwara as children, stepping inside is like taking a trip down memory lane. The preservation and maintenance efforts have successfully kept the essence intact, providing a wonderful experience. The langar remains simple and delicious. Sitting upstairs, closing your eyes, and reflecting on everything you're proud, thankful, and excited for, brings a profound sense of peace and satisfaction. In 2023, the convenience of making donations via card, and the option to add Gift Aid, is a welcome addition. It demonstrates that the gurdwara is adapting to modern times while upholding cherished traditions of sewa. Parking is possible if you can make the permit parking restrictions work to your advantage. On days where there are functions, extra parking is available at the school at the end of the road which makes it very convenient given that it is located in the middle of a residential road and off the busiest road in Southall. I sincerely hope that the community here continues to thrive and evolve, while safeguarding its unique heritage.

Clown management. Elders think they have authority. No principle of hygiene whatsoever i.e no rules on mobile phone usage while serving Langar is just scratching the surface.. you go here for God but you get bombarded with the silliness. wont be returning. TO ADD TO THIS I HAVE SEEN ELDER SEVADAAR DROP ROTI ON FLOOR THEN PICK UP BACK INTO THE SERVING BIN. ALSO ANOTHER ELDER SEVADAAR DIFFERENT OCCASION CONSTANTLY USING HIS MOBILE PHONE WHILE SERVING LANGAR. AND TO TOP IT OFF NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE SANGAT TO SERVE TO. **HEALTH AND SAFETY** HAZARDS LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE!!!

With Guruji's grace, I get to do kirtan sewa occasionally. Lovely sound system. The Committee members are very approachable.

It would be more peaceful if the people who collect donations can move down stairs as they talk too loud and keep the doors close because the noise from hand dryer is far too loud. Apart from that I enjoy Guru ghar very much, it's so peaceful and soothing.
