Here
is
the
story
of
how
they
ENTOMBED
A
BIRD
AND
ITS
BABIES
TO
DIE
SLOWLY
INSIDE
OUR
CEILING
CAVITY.
I'll
preface
this
by
saying
that
the
repair
workers
we
have
dealt
with,
and
our
Housing
Officer
have
been
wonderful
and
helpful.
However
every
single
staff
member
that
we
have
dealt
with
over
the
phone,
email
or
the
portal
have
been
clearly
only
interested
in
fobbing
us
off
and
not
listening
to
us.
Undoubtedly
the
most
incompetent
organisation
I've
ever
dealt
with.
Our
property
has
damage
that
we
learned
was
put
down
to
be
fixed
a
year
before
we
moved
in.
It
was
not
fixed.
It
allowed
access
to
the
cavity
between
our
flat
and
the
flat
above.
This
led
to
a
starling
nesting
in
the
cavity,
with
access
to
the
whole
cavity
and
kitchen
vent
pipe.
We
reported
the
bird
months
before
nesting
and
laying
happen
for
Starlings.
Onward
repeatedly
ignored
us
when
we
said
that
this
presented
a
HEALTH
and
FIRE
HAZARD
which
would
allow
them
permission
to
remove
nesting
birds
which
are
otherwise
protected
by
law.
The
repair
staff
member
on
the
portal
either
LIED,
or
misrepresented
the
law,
in
stating
that
nesting
birds
are
100%
protected
by
law
and
there
is
absolutely
no
way
they
can
do
anything
about
it.
After
we
approached
our
housing
officer,
he
did
a
lot
to
help
and
get
us
listened
to,
upon
which
it
was
confirmed
that
we
were
totally
correct
and
the
bird
should
be
removed.
After
this
had
been
going
on
for
3
months
they
sent
out
a
contractor
with
no
warning,
who
sealed
the
access
hole...
WITH
THE
BIRD
STILL
INSIDE.
THEY
LITERALLY
ENTOMBED
IT
TO
SLOWLY
DIE
IN
THE
CAVITY.
We
had
several
days
of
listening
to
an
increasingly
panicked
and
starving
bird
(starlings
are
very
noisy
normally,
so
imagine
the
noise
of
it
panicking)
trying
to
find
a
way
out
everywhere.
We
could
hear
it
above
a
tiny
hole
next
to
the
kitchen
light
as
it
must
have
seen
the
daylight
coming
in.
We
could
hear
it
above
our
bedroom
which
is
where
the
access
hole
was,
so
we
couldn't
sleep
in
there.
We
don't
know
if
it
had
babies
in
there
with
it,
but
no
doubt
they
suffered
a
starving
death
too.
On
top
of
this,
our
boiler
stopped
working.
They
did
not
show
up
for
the
appointment
booked
(which
was
on
the
5th
day
of
the
"5
working
days"
rule
for
urgent
repairs)
and
we
then
learned
it
had
been
cancelled
without
reason
or
notification.
Absolutely
embarassingly
run
organisation,
with
a
handful
of
good
conractors
and
staff
members
who
deserve
to
work
for
a
better
company.
