Absolutely wonderful place. So glad to have found out about it. The animals have plenty of space and clearly well looked after and cared for and it was such a peaceful place to take my two young children. Vegan options to eat and drink too which is always a bonus. Will be making it a regular trip.

Nice, well kept grounds. Very clean and tidy with great enclosures for the animals which seem happy and often came up close to the fences allowing for good opportunity to feed some of them Staff were friendly and helpful Only (very slight) downside is the lack of a proper play area for children in the picnic area but as its a sanctuary it's more than understandable that the money is much better spent on the welfare of the animals

Absolutely fantastic place to visit, couple of hours at best spent there but it’s cheap and fun for kids, we recently visited the Viking festival and it was brilliant! Really good facilities and friendly staff.

A fantastic little sanctuary with lots of animals to meet. The staff are very welcoming, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Hand washing areas are clearly marked. The animals all seem very well cared for and many will come up to say hello. The goats particularly enjoy visitors, although watch out: they will try and eat the paper food bags! The pathways can be muddy and bumpy but you can take things slowly and safely. The cafe has a good range of drinks and the cake is very nice. They also have vegan and gluten free options in there freezer and a vegan cake option. They also have oat milk for those who are dairy free.

Wonderful animal sanctuary, staffed by volunteers, animals are well cared for and the information about them is interesting and educational. The addition of a viking village will be a brilliant attraction I am sure.

I took my daughter there and she really enjoyed it. The prices really reasonable and the staff were so friendly. There are quite a few different animals there and it was bigger then I thought it would have been. Will definitely return again in the future.

Wonderful. We have been going to this wonderful place for over 14 years. All the family love it. A chance to feed animals by hand. Please read the notes on cages beforehand as some you cannot feed by hand. The price of Entry, food and gifts are reasonable. Thanks to everyone we had such a lovely day x

Nice place to visit with children. Volunteers are very friendly and they take good care of the animals. There are a small playarea with pic nic table for kids to play and a cafe where you can buy among cakes and drinks fresh eggs. Maybe with further donations some interactive activities for children can be introduced.

A great way to spend an hour or so! Love what these guys do on a daily basis! The dogs, Stan and Ziggy, loved it too 'chatting' to the goats, sheep, peacocks, chickens and pony! Where was Freya though? Stan loves her and missed her!

Always love going there. Been going since I was in kids home at age of 12 and after took my children. Now I'm taking my grand kids. Just love it there, it's so relaxing and nice polite friendly staff, and dog and wheelchair friendly.

Lovely place. I remember going with my primary school nearly 40 years ago. Its all self funded and relies on voluntary work and they do a fabulous job. Animals all beautifully looked after and a great place to take smaller children.

Great place, great cause. Would happily visit again and again. We took our young puppy to see the animals. He absolutely loved meeting the ponies, sheep, Freya the fox and especially enjoyed shouting at the chickens. We went to the dog run a week prior and that was great, too. The whole enclosure was fenced and gated so we could let the pup off his leash and have a good run around.

Lovely little reserve on your doorstep. Nice cafe, lovely staff and nice variety of animals for kids to learn about, feed (available to buy in shop) and just a nice pleasant couple of hours out for less than £4. Only negative is the toilet is dated, and a bit dark compared to other public loos but it's clean, functional actually has very hot water

Really nice person who greeted and guided us where to go. The field has a pool near by, but you are fenced away from it and you see part of the sanctuary as you walk through. Not too big an area to loose your dogs, but enough for them to run around and get some exercise, securely.

Thus is a lovely place to visit, I visited with my daughter and my grandchildren. It was a lovely day we had ice lollies and drinks before seeing the animals the children fed the goats and sheep and loved looking at the animals who all have names. There is a little park and there is also somewhere for dog walkers to take their dogs off lead. Staff are super friendly and your helping such a great cause when visiting.

Cute little place to see some animals. Goats, horses, pigs, peacocks, chickens, owls, foxes etc. You can feed the sheep and goats, and then wash up and eat some cake and crisps in their little cafe. Fun times, spent about an hour here.

Good selection of farmyard animals. Nice selection of birds/owls/ducks and even an ostrich. All looked well looked after and in good condition with plenty of room to move about. Play area and picnic area. Great value for money.

Took our dog into the enclosed area where he had so much fun running around like mad bless. Fresh water, poo bag, and even toys provided.. well worth the small fee .. will definitely take him again.
