Since
being
coached
by
Phil,
the
difference
in
my
running
ability
has
been
amazing.
Having
mainly
only
ever
been
a
‘fun’
runner,
I
never
believed
that
I
would
be
capable
of
achieving
the
pace
that
I
am
now
able
to
run.
Phil
has
changed
and
improved
my
running
technique
–
with
his
guidance
and
advice
I
feel
much
stronger
and
my
running
style
has
changed
dramatically,
for
the
better!
I
met
Phil
earlier
this
year,
when
beginning
training
for
the
London
Marathon.
I
have
run
other
marathons
and
have
‘got
around’
but
this
time,
after
injury
and
COVID,
I
felt
quite
anxious
about
the
task
ahead.
Through
the
weekly
running
club
at
Magdalen
Health
(run
by
Phil),
I
found
a
renewed
confidence
and
enjoyment.
Training
became
‘fun’
again
and
each
week
was
different
and
challenging.
I
particularly
like
Phil’s
style
of
coaching
with
the
interval
training
and
each
week
I
could
feel
myself
progress.
With
my
monthly
coaching
with
Phil,
I
have
looked
forward
to
the
sessions
that
he
has
set
me
each
week.
Each
one
has
been
structured
and
varied
and,
at
times,
quite
challenging
but
with
his
support
and
encouragement
I
have
accomplished
a
new
level
of
running.
Phil’s
style
of
coaching
is
one
of
nurturing
and
helping
you
achieve
your
best,
whatever
that
might
be.
It
doesn’t
matter
if
you
are
an
8
minute
miler
or
a
13
minute
miler,
he
gives
you
the
support
and
guidance
to
individually
improve.
This
has
been
so
important
for
me
as
I
have
never
been
a
faster
runner
and
was
a
little
unconfident
in
my
ability,
however,
by
joining
the
Magdalen
Health
running
group
I
have
met
like
minded
people
and
with
Phil’s
coaching
I
seen
my
confidence
and
ability
grow.
