    My mum passed away on Saturday night, aged 90 years. She was suffering from cancer of the colon and after fighting it to the end, she finally succumbed to the illness. The time was 19:15. She lived in a flat for the elderly which is operated by Places for People. She was not a wealthy person and had some benefits to help her pay her rent. My brother contacted Places for People today to ask how long we had to remove my mums possessions and clear the flat. He was told that it is their company policy, when residents die, to give relatives until the Sunday of that same week to clear possessions then full rent of £168 per week would be due for the flat for every week it was kept. When my brother explained the timing of mums death they gave no quarter and in fact told him that my mums tenancy agreement stated that she should have given 4 weeks notice. My brother explained that mum had very little and that they may not be able to recoup any money to which they replied that they will then approach the next of kin for the debt. This means that in a period where the family are trying to come to terms with their loss, they have instead to clear her possessions within days so as not to incur extra rental debt.

    Two weeks am still of heating &hot water jus when calling or send email everyone bucket appointment for new boiler and when is this day anybody not coming when am ring appointment is again not important and again need bucket appointment this is joke from tenants and olderby peapol.

    Terrible housing stock no signs of any modernisation - Most properties are Economy 7 which is very expensive, no gas not even showers installed. and old 70s immersion heaters for hot water. I'd go back to Incommunities tomorrow if it were easy to do.

    When I first moved into one of the places for people they were one of the best 17 years on I haven't seen area manager 13 months emergency maintenance being done I personally feel at the moment they are they are one of the not very good

    Economy 7 systems are so 70s. 2 storey flats that should have gas, don't. Instead have old electric immersion water heaters, low on pressure and useless for baths.

    Asked for ringback after waiting 40 minutes. Had no call I waited all day phoned three times in three consecutive days.still no reply.I wanted to change my paydate unfortunately this led to a late payment.
