All interactions for the admissions process have been straightforward and pleasant. Comes across as an organised, calm and knowledgeable organisation.

My son went to CLS from 13 years old to 18. It changed his life. This school is the best I have come across. It was outstanding both academically and in terms of personal development.

I love it .The mainstream regarding the school that is the place where strict rules are applied to impart education. Many schools exhibit such an example. But as the world is growing, there are developing new methodologies for teaching. Now schools are evolving are spreading education in a new way.. It is a perfect example of modern and old education as well as of architecture. There are two buildings of my schools. One is old, an example of 20th-century art. And the other is a new well-furnished building. The motley of new and old campuses make my school one of the best schools in my city.

Great school. My son started there in OG (Year 6) last September and loves it. Kids are bright, parents are friendly and the teaching seems excellent. Doesn't matter what you are into (music, sport etc.) they seem to cater for it. Although it's a private school, it's a lot less snobby than some state schools - especially some of the Grammar schools.

The City of London School, also known as CLS and City, is an independent day school for boys in the City of London, England, on the banks of the River Thames next to the Millennium Bridge, opposite Tate Modern. It is a partner school of the City of London School for Girls and the City of London Freemen's School. All three schools receive funding from the City's Cash. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC).

Loved studying here. Was one of the best years of my life and has impacted my life in an amazingly positive way. I would love to relive those moments. Definitely one of the best schools in the country.

To any prospective parents - CLFS is, quite simply, the most fantastic school. My children have thrived there; the staff are second to none (including non-teaching staff, e.g. the on-site nurse team); and the variety offered meets ALL childrens needs, be they academically or more creatively inclined (the artwork around the buildings is simply incredible; ditto the performances be they drama/play/musical based or music per se in the new recital hall). The Senior Management team are also superb and there are parent forums through which you can feed back any issues (IE vis catering for example) as well as the fact that you can contact your child's teacher; head of year; head of school (the school has separate heads for Junior/Senior/6th From) at any time. Pastorally, it is also superb and stamps on anything that's not okay very swiftly and very firmly - IE I have seen how they have handled bullying and having seen how they do it and how seriously they take it, I do now understand why there is so little of the bullying seen in other schools. FWIW, I also agree with a PP who said the school - whilst great - is not snobby; likewise that some of the grammar schools I looked at were way snobbier and with that vile sense of 'entitlement' that can develop from that. The kids at Freemans do not collectively or remotely have that same vibe. Very lastly, the school is a mix between day pupils (by far the bulk) and also Boarders - the Boarding House is brand new and is a simply stunning building; likewise the staff there and who are always on 24 hour call to parents whose child may be boarding. One of the singular most useful features of the school (apart from the utterly fundamental ones covered above) to parents/guardians is that they offer the option to 'flexi-board' or 'casual boarding', meaning day pupils can board for a couple of nights if say parents are working away or for longer if needed for any other reason. I genuinely could not recommend the school highly enough - hope review helps you if you're wavering about looking at the school for your child or wondering what it is really like.

Amazing point of view and especially romantic in the evening.

Friend of mine was a pupil there, loved it and keeps in touch with his old school buddies. The building on Queen Victoria Street is no longer occupied by the school but by an investment bank and it is a Grade II listed building. What fine architectural style built like a grand French Chateau designed by Davis and Emanuel in the Victoria Era. Of great interest are the statues carved high up on the walls from left to right. Bacon Shakespeare Milton Newton. If you look closely the details of carving is incredibly detailed. A real 'stand-out' building facing the River Thames
