THE place to be if you are not well..

If you have an elderly relative who has Alzheimer's or Dementia make sure you remove any jewellery before they are admitted to any of the wards. My mother was admitted this year and her engagement ring she had worn for the past 57 years was stolen off her finger by a member of staff. A woman who was suffering from the final stages of Dementia, who could not fight or scream. Absolutely disgusted with how this was dealt with by the senior staff, who frankly did the bare minimum to find out who stole the ring. This caused untold stress on my elderly father and ourselves ar what was a very difficult time.

Professional A&E staff and intensive care unit nurses and specialists are second to none. The wards are not that good, most of the staff are friendly but the odd one or two can be awkward, even bordering on ignorance and if asking for pain relief or other assistance it takes one to repeatedly ask various nurses before it is dispensed or actioned upon, which is totally unacceptable for an NHS teaching hospital. Hence the 3 star rating. Dissatisfied in general.

Took great care of my mother, easy to talk to the staff kept me updated, and allowed us to talk and see each other via justalk, the stay seems to have done her good, sorted a lot of underlying problems she had, thank you NHS.

Very clean and good sanitisation control.

Great social distancing and one way system in place for the maternity ward. They won't let you in without a mask and have distance marked off clearly. Staff are also friendly and helpful.

Lovely and attentive staff, very clean. Would stay again

Brilliant,staff are as they say angels

I recently gave birth to my 9lbs 6oz baby and labour was pretty intense, the midwives here helped me so much, they were so caring and honestly made my labour so much calmer! Everyone who I met that day were amazing, staff were kind and everybody made the moment special for me despite being in intense pain. Two of the midwives that stayed with me the whole night even stayed longer than they should of to see the birth of my son, I really do feel like they genuinely care about you here it was a 10 out of 10 experience for me and I would just love to say thank you so much to everyone I met that day and made sure me and my baby was healthy <3

treated well I don't even have any physical issues just mentally ill and I got to stay good food
