Don't
be
fooled
into
thinking
buying
from
a
big
brand
name
will
guarantee
you
good
service.
As
a
first-time
buyer,
I
wanted
a
brand
new
kitchen
fitted,
one
that
would
last
a
long
time.
I
decided
to
buy
from
Wickes,
a
big
mistake!
In
short.
The
kitchen
designer
came
out
to
measure
the
space
to
make
sure
the
kitchen
would
fit.
He
had
the
whole
day
to
do
this.
When
my
kitchen
arrived,
I
got
a
call
at
work
from
the
fitters
informing
me
the
kitchen
did
not
fit.
I
rang
the
designer
who
just
acted
surprised.
He
clearly
hadn't
bothered
to
measure
the
space.
The
design
then
had
to
be
changed
to
accommodate
this,
so
the
kitchen
I
expected
to
be
getting
was
modified.
I
was
told
the
installation
would
last
one
week,
it
took
over
a
year!
wrong
parts
were
sent,
the
fitters
had
to
go
onto
other
jobs
leaving
my
kitchen
unfinished.
I
had
sockets
hanging
off
the
walls.
Appliances
installed
incorrectly.
My
washing
machine
kept
flooding
because
of
this.
I
couldn't
fix
the
sockets
myself
as
it
was
deemed
a
health
&
safety
issue.
I
was
told
if
I
got
my
own
electrician
this
would
void
my
insurance
with
Wickes.
My
fridge
was
not
fitted
with
a
vent
so
was
overheating
which
would
cause
the
motor
to
burn
out.
Just
endless
problems.
I
literally
had
to
chase
this
company
for
the
corrections
to
be
made,
to
the
point
I
had
to
contact
the
manufacturers
myself
and
get
engineers
to
write
reports
to
send
to
Wickes.
It
was
unbelievable.
To
this
day
I'm
stuck
with
£300+
extractor
fan
that
does
not
work
correctly.
I
had
multiple
health
&
safety
issues
with
the
kitchen,
from
the
washing
machine
not
being
fixed
and
falling
forward
-
it
was
also
connected
incorrectly
so
that
dirty
water
from
the
sink
would
backflow
into
the
drum.
Electrical
cables
being
left
uncovered
and
exposed
to
moisture.
Sockets
hanging
off
the
walls.
The
whole
thing
dragged
on
for
over
a
year.
Most
of
my
correspondence
was
with
a
man
called
"Alex
De
Souza
-Service
Specialist".
I
never
once
received
an
apology
from
him
and
he
constantly
tried
to
downplay
the
seriousness
of
the
issues
I
was
having
with
my
kitchen.
Instead,
he
made
it
clear
I
was
only
receiving
help
from
the
company
as
I
was
still
within
my
warranty
and
closed
my
case,
no
offer
of
a
refund
on
the
extractor
fan.
Had
I
not
been
within
the
warranty,
I
would
have
been
left
completely
high
and
dry
by
Wickes.
I
paid
a
huge
amount
of
money
for
a
terrible
experience
and
a
kitchen
that
was
not
worth
that
value.
It
actually
put
me
off
getting
people
in
to
do
further
renovations
on
my
property
as
I
just
didn't
want
this
kind
of
hassle
ever
again.
The
pictures
show
the
condition
my
kitchen
was
left
"finished"
in.
Two
of
the
images
also
show
how
the
pipes
were
fitted
incorrectly
(image

&
how
they
were
repositioned
(image
2).
