Lovely place, really nutritious and delicious options. Great smoothies as well. The little shop is really lovely with lots on offer and a good bulk section too.

What brings me back is the cute, snug vibe and the food. However, in the last few visits, I've been really surprised and disappointed with the poor service. As friendly as the staff are, we did have to find ourselves getting the staff's attention for everything. We waited a good 10 minutes before a menu was given, 20 minutes after we'd finished, waiting for the dessert menu (we gave up in the end and got the bill) and we had to ask two members of staff to ask for the same thing. This would've been totally understandable if it had been busy but , particularly towards the end of the evening, only two parties remained. We picked up on the staff not making eye contact when we needed something and clearing up tables when no one was waiting to be let in. I'll still come back for the reasons stated before but overall, disappointed.

Zero-waste healthfood store and café with fresh organic produce, fresh bread, bulk food bins, refillable household products, packaged and canned, chilled and frozen products, chocolate, alcohol and more. Adjacent café offers vegan options, such as a breakfast plate (all-day breakfast menu) and an excellent buddha bowl. Pizza too, Thu-Sat.

First time visiting in the evening and their pizza menu is fabulous! Very generous sizes, wonderful ingredients and the service was brilliant. Their local beers are really good. Will be back very soon!

Really great Pizza! and the nightly deal of £10 for a Pizza and a drink makes it affordable. Only downside is the very limited selection of draft beer.

This is both a shop and a cafe. The far left segment is a cafe, and the other segments are the shop. Everything there is eco-friendly and healthier than groceries from other shops. It is a shop for people who want to eat healthier and/or want to help save the environment.

The food is superb, the service warm and accommodating of individual preferences. Vegans and vegetarians have a range of options rarely available. Great place to spend a relaxed, nourished, nurtured hour or two.

A great little spot for some coffee, working on university projects and buying sustainable goods. We used this little cafe/shop to work on our university sustainability projects where we could set up our laptops in the cafe whilst also looking at some sustainable products for our research. The staff here are really friendly, the coffee is great, the wifi is fast and the shop has some amazing products.

I dropped in here spontaneously, tied my dog up outside and spent half an hour picking up some very expensive shopping. “Could I get a bag?” Nope. They don’t do bags. Not recycled. None. It’s a mile walk home. They offer me a box. Oh boy. These people sure are virtuous.

i came here with my friend for coffee (we were too late for food) and it was so lovely! the seating area outside was lovely and sheltered, and the inside was spacious. the connecting shop was absolutely brimming with vegan goodies that you can’t get in supermarkets and i loved it all! it also has a weight & save section which is awesome for those who are reducing waste. overall a lush place and will be coming back to shop soon!🌿

Friendly and accommodating place for breakfast. They were great in my painful diet which is keto, and so were very flexible in removing the lovely looking sourdough! The rest of the family really enjoyed their food.

A few friends had told me about this place and I finally went, I will definitely return. Great selection of local cheeses and European charcuterie. I also really like that you can buy detergents etc. and fill your own bottles. Very environmentally friendly.

Really love this place. Helpful and friendly staff, excellent produce, good range of stock. I generally find I have a much nicer shopping experience at the Green Grocers than in a bog standard supermarket. Expect to pay a little more than at a regular shop but the products are top quality and well worth it.

Great spot for breakfast, loads of choice for both veggies and meat eaters, great prices and super fresh produce. The shop attached is a dream too, loads of delicious fresh produce, vegetarian bits and bobs, a bakery and heaps of other stuff.

Used to think this was the best pizza in Norwich but too many times I’ve called to order for collection around 8-8:30pm on Friday or Saturday and been told they’ve ‘sold out’. That is just ridiculous.

I've been a loyal customer of The Green Grocers but over time their pizza's have sadly gone downhill and so I've stopped ordering. I've been given the wrong pizza on occasions, my requests haven't been followed several times (I have an intolerance) and recently the whole of my takeaway pizza base was burnt and inedible. It went straight in the bin. I'm tired of complaining so thought I'd leave a review. I hope quality starts to improve soon and customers are taken seriously.

Really impressed with first visit not only with the shop but cafe. Good range of products in shop and excellent menu. Very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back with friends.

Absolutely love this cafe and shop. The outside is a little unassuming but it’s such a lovely unique little place inside! The coffee is very decent, they offer alternative milks (including almond which is becoming harder to find). Brunch here is absolutely delicious, no problems making substitutions or additions to dishes, and all gluten free options are great - the gf bread is at times hard to believe is gluten free! I’ve always checked, and I’m always reassured. I love the smashed avocado, which is plated with a delicious green sauce at the edge and balsamic. I often add an extra poached egg (recommend!). The staff are knowledgable, friendly, and helpful, absolutely top service. Can be a wait for a table, but definitely worth it. Not the fastest at weekends, as they have limited space and in busy hours can take a little time, so don’t head here at peak hours if you’re in a rush. Perfect for a leisurely brunch. During weekdays it’s much quieter and often super fast. Dog friendly outside but not indoors - there is outdoor seating, it can get blustery so bring layers if you’re sitting outside! The shop next door has plenty of refill and no waste options, the fruit here is some of the nicest I’ve had. Always great to pick up a few bits, they stock a good range considering size, including toiletries. It’s worth noting that parking is free for an hour, beyond that it’s paid via an app, and there is ANPR in use here. Also the spaces aren’t particularly big, and on the upper side there is a hill and some hefty bollards, so be warned: if you don’t have reversing cameras or parking bleepers, you’ll have a challenge, plus there is a cafe full of people who will watch you park with a lot interest.

Have the chefs changed? The breakfast was not good quality. Cold toast, uncooked tomatoes and mushrooms that felt and tasted microwaved. No seasoning. It was all a little insipid, lacking in care or professional pride. We left food on our plates and were not asked by any staff, why or if there was an issue. £26 for 2 breakfasts and drinks. It needs to be better quality. We used to enjoy eating here but have had 2 very disappointing meals in the past few months. In future we will take our custom elsewhere.

I have been coming here for years. I'm Vegan and the Vegan options are brilliant. My wife is vegetarian with a gluten allergy and she is always well catered for. We usually have a breakfast and then tea and cake. Their adjoining shop is fantastic, artisan bread, ethical products etc. They primarily cater for the "Norm" so if you want traditional food they do that too. I'm hoping to head back one evening for their pizza evenings.

Really good breakfast. Had the Norfolk. Some of the best sausages in town. Mushrooms were juicy. Cappuccino was bang on as well. Would recommend.

Hidden gem. I only live 5 minutes walk away but had never been until today. Great menu selection for vegans and meat eaters. I’m not vegan but went for the vegan sausage melt which was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and excellent staff. Well worth a trip if you’re in the area!

I started visiting this shop in an effort reduce my plastic waste. They have lots of loose items such as rice, oats, nuts, dried fruit and seeds that you can dispense into your own container and buy completely packaging free. They also have fresh bread, fruit vegetables and many other store cupboard essentials. I've still yet to try the cafe as it is always very busy. However I have brought their homemade vegan sausage rolls, which are the best I've tried!

Busy organic, health-focused cafe attached to a grocery store near the University of East Anglia. Our picks for lunch was the Big Buddha Bowl - highly recommended, a ‘Norwich’ breakfast (basically a half sized English breakfast), and a homemade mini vegetarian quiche served with a side of salad. Good coffee too. Don’t get caught out by the confusing and conflicting parking instructions though or risk getting a fine with your flat white.

This is a comfortable and welcoming shop\cafe. And unusual in that it doesn't exploit its green credentials to raise its prices and cynically charge its customers for the dubious privilege of feeling ever so slightly po-faced and superior. Naturally, the café is very popular. Good value, good service and quality ingredients will always attract attention and an appreciative clientele. Unfortunately, it can attract so much appreciation that finding a table at popular times can be difficult, so best to either book a table or visit outside of popular hours. Many reviewers mention the carpark. It is worth reiterating: You are only given one free hour to park. After that, if you don't have a ticket purchased, you will automatically receive a fine.

I can't praise this place enough - excellent service, great food and very good coffee. They do a very conscientious vegan range, including a vegan English breakfast. They also open up in the evenings from Thursday - Saturday (you may need to book) when they do some outstanding pizzas. There's a food store attached to the coffee, amongst which they offer a terrific range of chocolate!

Always nice to come here for breakfast, brunch or just a coffee - service was a bit slow when I went but it’s always busy and a friendly atmosphere. Really cute place with a great grocers next door to the restaurant area.
