Stunningly beautiful view across to the Lakeland peninsulas. At high tide, particularly in winter, there are thousands of roosting wades. The tide goes out so far that at other times, the quiet beach can be almost your own. The wonderfully developed promenade is full of little messages and tidbits. The grassy slopes are planted with wild flowers for the bees, which is glorious to look at in summer. There is a play park which the kids love. If you walk up towards Heysham Village there are horses in the field that come to be fed and petted. If you walk towards Morecambe, you reach the developed and busy end with events, ice cream, fish and chips and the like. This is a lovely place to base yourself, quiet with things to do and places to visit in both directions.

Beautiful walk down the promenade, Sometimes you might even see Mr T Fury having a jog, Nice people, Good for walking dogs on the beach, Shame a small majority dont pick up dog mess on grassed areas on the exercise field and along the top of the sunny slopes, Not a good place if your planning a picnic!!!

Lovely beach when the tide is out. There are no facilities though, which is a shame....so bring everything that you need. No public toilets here either, nearest ones probably in Morecambe centre....
