    I booked a skip which came on Thursday as said. I said it could be taken back same day but was told it would be Friday. Rang them Friday. Spoke to a rude lady, no doubt the same one mentioned in other reviews. She said it could be today or Saturday. Rang again Monday for pick up. Was informed it would be today. Rang again Tuesday I was informed they are short of drivers and can not tell me when it will be picked up. But she said “I can tell you it will be tomorrow if that is what you want to hear”. Very poor service unhelpful information and still have a skip over my drive. Highly recommend going elsewhere

    WARNING BEWARE THIS COMPANY STOLEN MY MONEY . PAID £ 175 AND NO SKIP TURNED UP £175 OUT OF POCKET . Paid for skip Wednesday 27/7 booked for delivery Friday 29th .called Friday morning to confirm time guy on phone was very vague said would be in the afternoon. 4pm phone 18 times no answer from any of options. Getting very worried. Sent email no reply!!! No skip delivery today 29th took day off work to fill skip as moving next week.

    All great price prompt but nobody tell its a strict 7 days unless agreed and as I was not told me that I didn’t agree anything so now I halfway through my job and they taken the skip even through I email asking for it not to be collect. Quick to take your money and quicker to take their skips. I guess they want me hire again for another 7 days as that how scams feel like. Thank you for your response so contacting by phone as your driver did and me sending an email hours before requesting it not to be collected and you still instructed your driver to collect shows your flexibility. Nice words your actions would do more to your reputation. Explaining your major points of Terms and Conditions that have changed since covid on the phone would have given a whole different outcome.

    My experience of using Able has been very positive, the skip was delivered exactly on time and positioned on the drive properly. When I filled the skip I called the company and was told collection would be made in next couple of days. It was collected well ahead of this, actually on the same day I called. The call itself was handled professionally, so my own experience is that I would be more than happy to recommend Able and I would certainly use them again in the future.

    same price as many other skip companies.. would not recommend this company if you are a landscaper or gardener as they take absolutely no TURF...i had a four yard skip.. the penalty for turf, i could of had a 8 yard skip from anywhere else.....

    Awful customer service. Website booking function not managed properly, we booked and expected delivery of a skip for a bank holiday on which the business did not even open. After failing to receive delivery, we phoned but obviously got no answer. Rang the next day to ask if the skip would be arriving that day, to be told it would not arrive until the end of the week at a minimum. No apologies for the mistake just excuses and a snotty attitude from the lady answering the phone. After explaining the fact that I had taken time off from work and hired equipment to complete a job, to which her response was 'that's not my fault, I didn't personally allow you to book a skip for Monday, the website had a glitch' we asked for a refund. She said she would process it but could not say when we would receive payment back. After some to and fro she interrupted me by saying 'hang on a minute' followed by on hold music playing. Eventually got through to a much more reasonable bloke, who apologised and explained that they had multiple people in the same position as me who had tried to book skips. I asked for confirmation of when I would receive the money back to which he told me it would be in my bank by the end of the day. Unfortunately it wasn't but it was refunded the next day. Have used the company in the past and had absolutely no issues, but won't be using again.

    Used to be good but not anymore. 2 days late in delivering the skip ordered and only collected after repeated requests. Feel sorry for their drivers who I'm sure take the brunt of customers frustrations. Won't be using them again. Would rather pay a bit extra and get a reliable service.

    Used to be excellent service, not anymore. Since this company has been taken it is now diabolical. Family members that are in the building trade have used able skips for over 20 years with no issues but it has changed completely since it has been taken over. It is not easy to get through on the phone and when you eventually do get through they tell you a load of rubbish. We were promised a skip to get delivered last Wednesday? We have phoned everyday asking where it is, when you do eventually get through there response is it will come today?....we are still waiting and it is now Monday evening - still no skip. We have managed to speak to the manager Anthony a few times and apparently it had been put down as a priority?? We have now cancelled the skip and gone with another company, we can't wait any longer. There is more rubbish that comes out of their mouths than out of an 8 yard skip. I would THINK again about using this company!

    Have used these guys to hire 3 skips now, over the last 3 and a half weeks. Lile some other reviewers, i note that their customer service is not fancy, but you're hiring a skip so that doesn't matter in my opinion. Price is good, delivery guys are friendly and competent, absolutely no issues from these guys.

    Initial issues with the skip position and was told this was to avoid the lorry damaging a manhole cover. Looking into this it is a valid point and will consider in future. Asked Able to collect at short notice due to its position, which they did. Very helpful and my manhole is still intact 👍

    Great service, overall. The staff when booking over the phone were really helpful and the driver couldn’t be more kind and considerate when delivering the skip. The same applied on collection. Just a really reliable and good company to deal with.

    Some of the negative feedback on here could be a competitor. Lady on the phone was polite answered the phone quick as a flash caring driver. Used the old company for 27 years and I have no reason to think the new one will let you down especially in the age of social media.

    Awful customer service, got a skip to move house and only wanted it for a day really... 2 weeks later I'm still trying to get it collected. 20min on the phone today just to be told 'its on the list for collecting!' Wouldn't let me talk to a manager or supervisor to express my concerns

    Our skip had been here on our driveway for in excess of two weeks, despite requesting a collection on Monday 8th August, we’re now into the weekend and despite being promised a collection on Thursday or Friday, it’s here for another weekend - why tell me it’s going to be collected and then not fulfilling our request. Tried calling out of hours number and that was a waste of time.

    Do not use this company. Ordered skip for Monday morning, never arrived and was told that drivers pick and choose when they drop off…family had taken time off work to help that day so was a loss for us. Skip arrived a day late. Called for collection and was told it would be collected on Friday. Nobody came, called the following Monday and could not get through at all. Finally got through on Tuesday and was told it hadn’t been booked in and it ended up being collected the following Friday. You get an email receipt to say when a skip will be dropped off/collected but, if they don’t arrive, they just send you another email receipt and change the date to suit them.

    I had a recomendation from someone else for Able Skips and I then recomended Able Skip hire to my neighbours and now ive had them myself and i cant fault them. The driver was great. Its not a wide road here and the skip had to go on my grass but he did it quickly and cleanly. I told him he was brilliant at dropping it. He was a lovely guy, very polite and certainly knew his job. Impressed all round. Just need it picking up now. Thank you Able Skips for a job well done.

    I thought would write a review as Able seems to get a lot of poor reviews, which does not reflect my experience. Many of the poor reviews mention really poor customer service. Obviously there must be some sort of consistent issues, for so many people to have called this out. My own experience though is that Able have always been perfectly fine. I've used them for domestic reasons over the years on approx 5 occasions. Each time, they have been perfectly acceptable, from that's the lady in the office or the delivery staff. Now I'm not saying they go out of their way, but they have never been rude to me. Today for instance, I had to cancel a skip that I had booked (and paid) for 2 days time, the lady processed my refund without question and was perfectly polite. If I was to ever receive poor customer service, I would of course update this review and stop using Able. For now, I am happy with their service, reliability and price.

    Couldn't fault the service and support. Skip arrived on time, the Contractors didn't my finish my job in time for the pick up, a quick phone call allowed me to extend a little longer, .Will definitely use again.

    Whilst these are clearly very busy people, they still found the time to help me with my orders, both helpfully and professionally. They delivered and picked up as arranged with excellent communications. And great value! Thoroughly recommend.
