There are changes taking place in the area August 2019 onwards , mainly along the Headrow and part of Cookridge street by Raddison hotel . So please check before you travel . I was at the Civic hall and as I had a blue badge I entered the civic hall car park from Portland way . There are barriers and an intercom plus the access is controlled to the car park . Having gained access there are three disabled notified bays . All have dropped kerbs plus space to manoeuvre a wheelchair .A blue badge MUST be shown and remain visible whilst in this car park . Access to the building is via Portland crescent . Entrance flanked by two wise owls and a large clock above ! Having booked in with security I went to my meeting . All floors are flat and level including lift access . Most doors are pad operated and will open as you operate the pad .This includes access to the disabled WC except bizarrely! for the wc door itself ! Barriers will raise automatically as you leave the car park .There is further parking nearby . An enjoyable stress free experience.

A stunning building right in the heart of Leeds. The golden owls are fascinating and really are a spectacle to behold.

I've shot many weddings at The Civic Hall, and the staff and registrars are always lovely and really prompt. The banquet room is stunning and gets the best natural light, the West Room is great too and a wonderful alternative for smaller gatherings 📸. Outside the hall and Millenium Square are perfect for some portraits and group shots, and then the location of it being within the city centre makes it perfect for getting that inner city wedding chic vibes in your photos. I love shooting here and it's the perfect spot for a Leeds city wedding.

My nephew's wedding...sombre place, no flowers, little in the way of a celebratory atmosphere. My nephew and his wife were not given a certificate of marriage. Tried to phone them about this an hour later, waited for 20 minutes for an answer then got cut off, called again and waited for a further 15 minutes then gave up. Disgraceful, disgraceful, disgraceful. What a dump!!!!! Would have given no stars but it appears I had to rate a star. The star is for my nephew and his wife who had to endure this sub standard service. Should have got married in Lancashire!!!

Lots of history. 2 recent events, a conference and a Leeds council event. Both events were well organised by the backroom staff and the catering was good; varied & enjoyed by all. As a venue to host events, it's different to the usual corporate venue, having lots of history and being an impressive building.

This grand building has been around for some one hundred years and counting. It is surrounded by Mandela Gardens and the seasonal millennium square which hosts an ice-rink sometimes during the year. The are a row of stairs to the main entrance but wheelchair users can access the hall via other entrance doors 🚪. Inside, the walls are adorned with the various city mothers and city fathers who have served Leeds. It is well maintained and worth the honour of hosting new British citizens or weddings.

We got married here today with the cheapest option that is available on the last Monday of the month, but don't let that fool you. Beautiful setting, wonderful staff who made the short time we were in there feel extremely stress free and friendly and a lovely photographer too. Honestly couldn't recommend this venue or package enough ❤️❤️

We got married at Leeds Civic Hall and it was an amazing venue. The space speaks for itself, but what made it extra special was the professionalism of the staff. Communications throughout the planning process were excellent. We visited the venue several times and the porters who showed us round were very helpful. On the day itself, the staff were so friendly and efficient. With particular thanks to Emma who really helped to make everything go so smoothly.

Elegant and well maintained building. I hope there will be more discussion from people from different backgrounds, so that Leeds city can be benefited from more ways. May God bless this place.

Visited for a wedding. Room a little tired and in need of a refresh but the ceremony was very good.
