Incompetent or liars? You decide! I took my laptop with a keyboard fault to these people on 29/11. No other issues. The owner, Barry, is one of these people that likes to talk the talk but in truth his patter doesn't make up for the obvious fact that nobody there is capable of doing anything beyond a simple repair or screen replacement. Despite being promised updates via the 'tracker', I had to chase them to be told the laptop needed a part that wouldn't be delivered until 9/12. Fair enough I thought. 9/12 came and went- no update. A couple of days later I chased them via phone and the owner said he'd chase the delivery as it was late. Hardly proactive customer service! This is when it gets really weird. On 15/12 I was told via text that my laptop keyboard was repaired and that it was ready for collection. I turned up and lo and behold, the laptop was there. Without the charger that I had dropped off with it. Barry made a song and dance of how he would find the charger and how I should come back later that day- he'd text me he said. Later that day came and no text. Once again, I chased this store and was told that the laptop wouldn't be ready that day. Turns out they had lost my charger and had to order a new one in! Okay, mistakes happen I thought. Left it at that. A couple days later, I chased again (top-notch customer service on display again). Here I'm told that there is a new problem with the laptop- it won't turn on and they have no idea how to fix it! But hey, not to worry because although they've lost my charger, they have ordered a new one in just for me. By now, it was time to cut my losses so I collected the laptop on 19/12. The keyboard had been fixed but : a) The power button did not function (thanks a lot) b) The laptop will only turn on if plugged into a mains (turns on automatically without power button) c) The laptop will turn on only after multiple attempts at switching off at the mains and turning back on (what they've done to the laptop I have no idea) d) A few days later, I realised that the laptop will now randomly turn off even when plugged in. e) Cosmetic tearing which has been 'repaired' with what looks like superglue f) Missing rubber grips at the base of the laptop All this for £80 and having my laptop for more than 3 weeks. Barry was once again trying to talk himself out of any responsibility by blaming Microsoft and the 'schematics' not being publicly available (he really loves that word). I handed a laptop in with a non-functioning keyboard and was given back an almost useless product. It beggars belief that a company like this thinks of itself as a reputable business. I would recommend anyone and everyone to stay away from these cowboys.

I have recently been to this place after hearing about this from a friend. I went in there and heard the guy sitting at the counter pressuring the customers to leave multiple positive google reviews and videos. That behaviour from them is unprofessional as reviews are something that should be posted genuinely.

I recently purchased a refurbished laptop from GadgetFix store and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the outstanding service and the amiable staff. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and attentively, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. Their service was remarkably quick without compromising on quality. The staff ensured that the laptop I purchased was in perfect condition, and they patiently addressed all my questions and concerns. The efficient and prompt service truly exceeded my expectations. Moreover, the warranty on refurbished laptops provides added peace of mind, showcasing their commitment to customer satisfaction and product quality.

Over-priced and underdelivered. I was quoted around £35 to fix my PS4 controller, new is £50 so I went ahead. I paid £30 on my first visit towards the full price. I handed over two controllers and said they can use parts from both to produce one fixed controlled. I was told to come back in a few days. After a few days I was told parts needed to be ordered to fix it, but that it would be fixed within another few days. After another few days I was informed the parts had not arrived yet. After another few days I was again told the parts had not yet arrived, but that I would be charged a further £20 when the controller was fixed (so it would be the same price as a new controller, with the added delays and hassle!). They informed me they had my number (I checked the number was correct before I left) and that they would text me when the controller was ready. TWO WEEKS went by with no contact, so I again visited the shop to be told the controller was in fact NOT fixable, so I have paid £30 for absolutely nothing, and had my time wasted. Poor service, just buy new and avoid dealing with these.

The service is top notch, trustworthy and reliable and I was amazed they were able to save all of my photos after my laptop stopped working. They were very professional and courteous too, not to mention being much better value than the big high street players. Thank you all so much, highly recommended and I will be back!

Great service fixed rounded screw on mother board within an hour! Other places declined my request for repairs because I did some work on the phone my self but Gadget fix were happy to help! There is a minimum fee for any repair just as a heads up

Walked in with a faulty laptop and they took it for assessment straight away. Within 24hrs They had diagnosed the fault and communicated with me the issue and a timeframe - and by the following day I was picking it up again, working perfectly! All in all got it sorted within 48hrs - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Everything is great. My iphone 11 screen is broken. They fixed the screen within 1 hour which is quite efficient. The service is free of charge because I am a student in Leeds. Also, the quality of the screen is excellent. The receptionist is patient and nice. Everything is good here.

I randomly came across this store when I had been let down by another repair shop and was in desperate need to get my phone fixed ASAP. Not only were the staff here lovely, they prioritised my repair and the lovely gentleman I dealt with lent me one of their phones so I would not be alone in the city without a phone while it was being repaired. The job was done within 3 hours, I was expecting to get a call saying it would be a day or two! Fantastic service, would definitely recommend and use again. Thanks guys!

Barry and the team sorted out my wife's Samsung after another shop had replaced the battery but goofed the screen then denied any responsibility. Nice... Gadget Fix thoroughly checked the phone to ensure that it was just the screen before sourcing a new one and getting the phone up and running. There was no loss of data and everything is working as it should. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that I couldn't get the online work progress checker to work, but you could always call and with them being in the town centre, it was no hassle to nip in.

Walked in and straight away was seen to and dealt with. Lovely staff in the shop, chatty and made me feel extremely comfortable from start to finish. Phone looked brand new by the end of it once they’d fixed my screen. Highly Recommend to anyone!!

Avoid this place at all costs!! After dropping my phone the screen broke but otherwise it was working perfectly. I took my phone in for a simple screen repair and when I got it back it wouldn’t charge and kept turning off. I took it back and was told that when I dropped the phone I did greater damage than smashing the screen but they hadn’t noticed when they first looked at it so the warrantee wouldn’t cover it. The owner manipulated the dialogue into making it all my fault and suggested I could either pay for this to be repaired (another 90 quid) or they’d give me a refurbished iPhone 5s for half price in exchange for my current phone - he said this would a new phone 60 quid even though I knew I could get a refurbished iPhone 5s elsewhere for £60, making that price not nearly half price. Got a second opinion elsewhere and was told that clearly gadgetsfix damaged something when they opened up the screen. The owner has a good way of manipulating what you say to impart blame but my phone was fine before I took it in, save for a smashed screen. Previous reviews have suggested that gadgetsfix write good reviews on people’s devices that have been taken in so I would take the good reviews with a mahoosive pinch of salt. £50 for a screen repair on a 5s is a rip anyway never mind for a botched job

Brought my laptop in to be fixed as I didn't know what was wrong with it. I was quoted a fair price and I was spoken to with manners and politeness. My laptop was fixed within 12 hours of me bringing it in. The whole team was professionally and respectful. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Thank you gadget fix 😊

I was absolutely scammed. They took my deposit of £90 and told me they’d look at it. Deposit wasn’t returned after they told me they could do nothing. As a student, I couldn’t eat for the week as my food shop with extremely limited.

I had lost access to my University work due to my macbook completely shutting down. The staff managed to obtain my data within 24 hours and made the process as smooth as possible! Amazing, friendly staff and great pricing as well. Thank you!

Gadgetsfix were extremely helpful where other shops were not. They went the extra mile in identifying the problem I had with my phone and when they found out I had only a day before going on holiday, they did everything to get it fixed the same day. Great service, would recommend to anyone.

Very good customer service and care, took laptop in in the morning and was ready to collect in the afternoon, very pleased and would definitely recommend to other students who need their laptop fixed! They were also very friendly and took the time to explain everything.

Accidentally spilled a coffee in to my macbook thus it wouldn’t turn on. Went there around 11am and they managed to fixed it at 4pm. Nice and very quick service! And the people there are also friendly too. I am a student so I really need my laptop to do my daily activities and they really helped me a lot.

I would definitely recommend Gadgetsfix. They immediately diagnosed what was wrong with my laptop (battery and speakers needed replacing), and then did the work in the time frame they originally indicated, and at exactly the price they originally quoted. I'm very pleased with how my laptop is handling once again, and will definitely go back to Gadgetsfix with any further issues I might have in future.

I walked in and was instantly able to walk over to the counter. I explained my issue to the staff and he was able to help talk me through what they’d do and how much it would cost. Parts were ordered and the laptop was ready in 5 days. Organising my collection over the web page and text was tricky, but when I decided to just walk into the store everything was fine and I picked up my laptop. Staff are lovely I had spilt a glass of water over it and had it back in 6 days! Only £150 :)

My laptop was fixed and promptly on the same day,although I think the repair price was over priced but glad I got my laptop the same day. The only thing that put me off was being told that I will only get a warranty if I leave a review, I felt it was manipulating and the response I got when I complained about it wasn't nice. But overall my laptop was fixed. The staff are nice and took time to explain things to me.

I have been living in Leeds for long time and I haven't been scammed like this. We came to fix laptop battery and the owner said I had to fill in an online form which had personal details and a signature of terms and conditions which you cannot see and they're hidden to use people. He then asked me to pay 60 £ as diagnostic fees which can be deducted from the repair fees. I paid the fees and they said the laptop needs a battery and two speakers, the cost would be 210 minus the 60 £. I told him I don't have that money and I need a refund I'll do it later, he said we don't give back refund and the diagnostic fees are gone. He took 60£ for a work of 10 £. The way he is running this business is a scam. People should avoid at all costs. While some people in reviews paid 40£ he asked us for 60. He looks at you and decides how much you pay. He pretends to be looking for a paper to check the fees but eventually it's him who decides. The two times we came to the shop there were people arguing with him, the second time there was a guy saying they damaged his battery while they were fixing his phone screen and they told him his battery is needs replacing despite the guy repeating he had no issues with it before. Don't pay any money to this guy before getting your device fixed. This business could do way better as it's in a central place but the manager cares about ripping off people and take their money illegally instead of turning this place into customers hub by treating customers nicely and genuinely. I saw many people were scammed by this man here too and in the future as well therefore I'm willing to sue this man for his fraudulent actions and if anyone interested please contact me as this will strengthen our position. I'm not doing this for the money he took from me but for the injustice and people he used and took advantage of. Everyday someone get scammed in this shop. I decided to call him and see his perspective he hang up on me. All good reviews here are either forced or fake as if you read them you would find some people expressed that they were forced to give good reviews before taking back their items. I can get back the 60 £ but you'll lose many customers because of this review and exposing you to public. There is a sudden feeling you get when you go in this shop, you'll instantly realise that this man is a scammer and mark my word for it. Sorry it was long review but I just wanted to warn people who come after me not to be scammed and their devices damaged more and then being asked to pay more.

Came in with a broken phone and they fixed it for me straight away really fast, even gave me a student discount which was fantastic. Have been here before for a broken laptop and I am always very pleased with the service!
