What an amazing experience in Decathlon Portsmouth. We went into pick up life jackets for our sup board. Ended up with a few extra items including a floating leash for my wife's glasses. If you get to use this store look for Saienne, she looks after the water sports section and was amazing. She even ordered a few items from the web for us as we stood there.

Very good prices. A large selection of products. A large selection of bikes.equipment for: running swimming playing football basketball volleyball cricket tennis darts gym and many others. Clean and tidy. Nice and friendly service. Easy access. A huge car park. I recommend

Good shop but very rude security. Granted they have a job but when they watch you self check out then check your receipt and search your bag it stops you wanting to go back!! This has happened twice now! Treating all customers as thieves is not good business and very insulting to someone with a clean record! I will not be back!

Went in to look at walking shoe's fir my daughter, couldn't find the ones we wanted so spoke to a member of staff who was really helpful. He explained that we could order on line & have it delivered to the store, but if we choose certain makes we would have to contact tge manufacturer ( ie regatta) but most of the others we would be able to go back to decathlon store to sort.he also explained that delivery to store would be free. Very helpful & would recommend to anyone. Will definitely return

We visited North Harbour Decathalon yesterday just getting an idea for Christmas presents for our sons. We were helped by Max who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and gave us great advice our boys but also helped my partner buy a stilus etmb which he has always wanted. Max told us he had only been at this store for 2 days and helped us massively so we just want to say a huge thank you to Max and team. Great customer service!

Not the biggest Decathlon I've been into but a good variety of gear. Staff were helpful. Self serve tills that you just drop your items in the basket and it automatically scans. Easy to park. Security guard on the door could have looked a little happier!

This is how customer service should be. Thanks to Vincent for helping me today. I didn't expect any help with my problem but left with full resolution and a far better view of Decathlon. Will be back again.

Bought an inflatable kayak which deflated, ‘popped’, and bulged on the inner side upon first use. When returning it for a refund I was shockingly engaged by staff with an accusing attitude even though it was agreed to be a manufacture fault (cavity in the join right at the front). I was immediately falsely accused with “over pumping, not washing saltwater off” and even suggestions of “jumping around” on it were made. After extremely thorough inspection, they denied the bulge, attempted to replace the inner tube then only agreed to replace it. I wanted a refund, and was fully entitled to one as soon as I’d returned it under the consumer rights act. They refused one on their basis they couldn’t re-sell it. All a very strange unprofessional sales approach and not a pleasant experience to go through.

No problems with service or products. My only comment is why they sent a boxed product to the store when they already had them in store, unboxed? Seems like an unnecessary waste of cardboard. Maybe the click & collect process needs reviewing.

Excellent service from a friendly helpful female staff member on the till on Saturday and Sunday super hot and busy weekend, staff member patiently helped us with paddle board hire and remembered us when we came back in the next day. Excellent experience, Thanks so much

Thank you Kim and all in the bicycle department at Portsmouth Decathlon. Kim carried out service, change of wheels and thorough check on both our bikes, also changed handlebars on mine. Kept us informed regarding cost, time etc. Kim is extremely knowledgeable and gave lots of advice and tips. Delighted with the service and can't recommend highly enough.

Excellent service today from Kim the bike technician at the Portsmouth store. My husband managed to mess up the gears on his new bike before he had even ridden it! This was a technical job but she knew exactly what to do and fixed it whilst he waited. Thank you Kim!

So many quality sporting products at brilliant prices. Customer service, guarantees and return policy are also very good. Today I discovered they have a "second Life" returned goods shelf for discounted prices.

There was an issue with the way the tills were accepting my vouchers. The 2 ladies that dealt with it were fantastic. They were polite, and very knowledgeable with the system so it was sorted quickly. The best customer service I've seen!

I always shop at Decathlon for my sports wear, as they have an excellent and extensive range to chose from, besides this it’s always worth browsing up and down the aisles in all the departments as I do, you never know what might spark an interest. What about the self service checkouts, WOW! No need to scan each item just put your goods in the special container at the till and all your good are accounted for amazing … then just check the itemised screen and a simple card transaction and you’re away. See my bargains for today …

Good store. Not the biggest but still a great place to get summer water sports equipment for a good price. Just got a good quality life jacket and wetsuit for my 7yr old boy at a great price. Staff really helpful and had scales so we accurately knew his weight to ensure we got the correct size life jacket for him.

I've used Decathlon for years now and have never purchased a bad product. All their stuff is reliable and of good quality at a good price! The staff are always friendly and helpful which makes it an even better experience when shopping here.

Ordered online from the sales stock to be picked up in the local store, was there within 2 days and quick easy and safe pick up. Bought a walking coat that is wonderfully warm and waterproof so great stock too

Been shopping at decathlon for years. Their clothes are so comfortable and soft. I recently ordered the women's rugby shoulder pads as have majorly lost my confidence after an injury, after trying them out my confidence has come back. They fit perfectly and make me feel more protected. Couldn't recommend Decathlon enough!!

Spoke with Kim on the phone from the cycling department, he took the time to explain & advised me about which bike he thought would be best for me, an upgrade from my current Decathlon bike. Have just placed my order and appreciate the time & attention given to me from Kim, could tell he genuinely cared. He is a credit to Decathlon! Many thanks.

Picked up an item ordered online. Very efficient and friendly staff passed over item, nicely boxed. Love this store. Always lots to see and at reasonable prices. Free car park too.

Good selection, great value. Just make sure you check you've paid for every item on the self checkouts before you leave - the system isn't perfect and I got stopped at the door and had to go through every item one by one on the receipt to check that I had paid for it.

Horrible experience only put one star as the place was clean. Your server was not interested at all more interested in her hand held and when questioned about price instead of looking she was dismissive and rude will not be going back .

Bought a paddle board and pump here Saturday without discussion with staff. Used the board that night but disappointed that the psi gauge on pump not working but my husband pumped it up to as hard as he thought was right. Took it back to store today and staff member (Darcey) checked the pump on shop model and offered to show me it was working. Obviously the shop model looked as inflated as mine had bit not fully inflated. Darcey gave me some tips on what might be wrong and suggested if it still wasn't right to bring my board in too. I went home and had same issue. Darcey was great and we rolled my board out and she pumped away only to show me that it wasn't moving because we hadn't got enough air in it to register on giage 😱. I decided that there was no way I wanted to battle with manual pump so bought an electric one and kept manual too! Darcey was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and so helpful - a real credit to the store!

Reasonably stocked store in terms of product range, friendly and helpful staff, convenient location next to other stores and easily accessible from central Portsmouth by bus. Had everything I needed but it's a bit low quantity of certain sizes, and unfortunately, you must order online for some products.

The security man on door is so rude twice now his ask to look at my receipt as I walk out I feel his picking on me he could clearly see me at the checkout with other member of staff. No please or thank you he just rude. I appreciate he got a job to do but maybe talk to people nicely. All the other staff was nice and good range of product

Went there to grab some Hiking gear for cheap that would also last, and everyone was helpful but Miguel was brilliant, i went in multiple times throughout a week and everytime he remembereed me and continued to help me with everything giving me the best advice. Thankyou
