This car park is well sighted to the attractions, only a few minutes walk. It is friendly towards large cars, SUVs and 4x4 which can move about easily in side, some spaces can be tricky for these vehicles to get into but if you take the time to look, you will find a good enough slot. It is well lit and very clean, no horrible smells from people who can't be bothered to find a toilet. On that note, the toilet I used was very clean and I would be happy to use again without concern. I popped back late to get something from my car and felt safe to do so. Would use this place again.

Looking for secure motorcycle parking we enquired at the attendants office first. He was more than helpful. A really nice guy who showed us exactly where the bays were for motorcycles complete with ground anchor. He also explained how to get to local attractions etc. The parking area is well lit and very clean. As a bonus, parking is half price for motorcycles, the attendant sorted the ticket for us on our return. Thank you. Would highly recommend.

This car park is literally 200 yards from the historic dockyard. Being underground, you have the benefit of being cool when hot, which it was when last visited. Or out if rain or bitterly cold outside in the winter. It is not too far to walk from Gunwharf shopping centre and just pay at machine before you leave.

A bit tight getting in and out but spacious once inside and fairly average value.

My rental car broke down in this carpark whilst I was visiting family from overseas and the car park staff were very helpful in assisting me. I was able to leave the keys at the front desk for the recovery vehicle to come the next day. They invited my partner and I into the concierge front desk of the apartments above the carpark whilst we waited for a lift. Thanks fellas, much appreciated 👌🏻

We’ve had several visits to the Dockyard but never explored Boathouse 4 as the big ships get all the attention. This time we joined an organised tour to see the work of restoring historic vessels. The volunteers brought the tour to life and explained that as well as repairing boats the Boathouse is also a skill training centre. Well worth a visit to see the skilled craft people restoring the wooden boats.

A bit of a walk, but a good choice, plenty of parking spaces, was worth the walking distance.

Number plate recognition didn’t work when trying to leave, called the service number and was let out without issue. Many spaces available, feels secure with good lighting. Definitely a bit of a squeeze if you have a large SUV. Accessible for disabled and includes EV charging. The price is incredible for the location! Toilets were clean and well maintained.

The car park closest to the Dock Yard. Reasonable price. I parked here while charging my EV.

Well marked bays and 4x BP Pulse charging stations. If you don't know where the museum is it can take you a couple of minutes to figure out you're walking in the right direction. Prices steep. But there are attendants on hand to assist with any issues. They were quite helpful and friendly.

Left my car here until the early hours, very secure with CCTV and the gates shut only allowing entry with a ticket. Good/reasonable price for parking.

Car park looks clean and feels safe and the prices were very reasonable

How stupid is this?!?! There is a bump just below the 2,10m sign… which makes that your 2,10m car will get scratches on top… and even if you can’t enter the parking, you have no chance to turn back 😂😂😂 really stupid!

Parked here over the weekend and felt very safe to leave my car for long periods of time, easy to access and very reasonably priced

  • 5/5 Brynybach 2 years ago on Google
Plenty of free spaces it's just a couple of minutes walk from the entrance to the museum gates. £9.00 for a full day seems very reasonable for being so close.

I was expecting to be stung by this carpark but I was pleasantly surprised I only paid £7.00 five hours. It also quite near Gunwharf quays shopping outlet.

Brightly lit, plenty of spaces to park. Very clean. Situated not far from Gunwarf Quay. Reasonably priced.

Assume more than £7 to park (5 hours)… add this to your entrance ticket cost. The car park is nice, but I would have expected a reduced price if you had tickets for the dockyard tour.

When parking is a problem it can often add stress to your day but not this place. It was easy to find, cheap for the day, secure and well placed. Its right in the heart of everything you will visit when going to Portsmouth. Clean and tidy too.

Standard pay on exit car park. Lots of spaces. Well located for the dockyards

If you like ships and history this is a great place to visit. So much to look at.

Well priced, manned desk, toilets, always spaces, no queues and way cheaper than Gunwharf. I park here whenever I go to Gunwharf as it is just a few minutes walk, beats the huge queues to get into Gunwharf car park!

Decent car park close and easy walking distance to the Historic Dockyard. Plenty of spaces although many concrete pillars so lots of spaces left next to the pillars. Fairly expensive in terms of fees but nothing you would not expect for a central car park close to a tourist attraction.

Clean tidy and well lit. If you are staying at the Premiere Inn nearby you can get 20% discount for your parking.

Clean secure and reasonably priced parking. If you are heading to Portsmouth, it is now a clean air zone so do check before travelling by car as there may be additional charges.

Nice wide bays and reasonable signposting. Can become expensive if you spend all day, but the location is spot on. Only complaint is the size of the speed bump as you leave, however, the toilets are really clean and well maintained.
