The most beautiful and relaxing site. The owners are so amenable and will make you most welcome. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. We saw a family of very new ducklings which would come out of the water to forage in the grass around our pitch, and a hare early one morning.

A perfect campsite that provides space and privacy between plots. Really good and clean amenities. The owners are super helpful and are a lovely family. The piglets were delightful and loved lots of attention. This was our second visit, first with the new owners who have done an amazing job keeping the same vibe we had the first time we came. Thank you for a fantastic 4 night's camping experience.

Very welcoming site. We only stayed one night but will definitely be back. The pitches are so spacious and surrounded by meadow grass so you don't feel too close to your neighbours but it also feels free and open. The owners are very friendly and the whole place has a great family feel. Every pitch has picnic table and fire pit, and there is free use of freezers, fridge and electric points for campers. The toilet block is spacious and spotless and has plenty of electricity points to use your own items, plus a full size bath in the baby change. We visited as a small group of 2 mums with our teenage boys. They found room enough to kick a ball around and really enjoyed the vibe here. The nightly price was a little steep for our campervan plus 4 people (£50) BUT well worth it on arrival, and with fire pit etc all included, it's actually a reasonable charge.

Just spent the rainiest weekend at this wonderful campsite. Even though the weather wasn’t great it didn’t matter, this is such a beautiful well kept campsite. The owner Kelly is really welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back next year. 👍😁

What a find for me. Large site but you wouldn't really know it. Laid out in areas with complete sympathy to wildlife. Owners are young but keen and eager and certainly know what they are doing. Most are grass pitches so ideal for tenters and you can book what pitch you like the look of from the map online. They have a small shop where you can buy some essentials etc, and the sausages and burgers are lovely. You can also purchase food for the animals, alpacas and pigs, pygmy goats soon I hear. A wood service is provided how wonderful. Each pitch has a fire brazer a novelty for most parks. There are Bell tents available to hire didn't check them out, but it's an option if you do not have your own way of camping. Two fishing lakes, but hard fishing. Currently very low stocked and not the most accessible in places. Patience is the key. Our stay was so good that we are going back revisiting any site is extremely rare for us. Can't wait.

We recently came to do the Halloween pumpkin picking and it was so much more than we expected! Not only did the children pick a massive pumpkin worth way more than the ticket price (adults got a hot drink instead), but we also got to feed the pigs, alpacas and goats, took part in a lakeside walk with children’s activities and biscuit making! We enjoyed a picnic sat on the benches next to the piggies, climbed some trees and enjoyed the quiet and relaxing experience for 3 hours! We will definitely be back for some glamping and pottery in the future! Great thought and planning went into this from a local family run business.

Fantastic campsite with brilliant family owners; I don’t know how they do it with so many kids, one of whom is a teeny baby. Lovely setup, good fridges, showers, toilets, washing up facilities, excellent maintenance, and loads and loads of space. Some pitches are literally on their own surrounded by meadow. Good fishing lakes, son caught some smallish fish very easily. Will definitely be back. Farm animals a bonus.

We had a wonderful stay here as a family, would highly recommend and we can’t wait to return!! Despite the rainy weather we endured, we enjoyed every moment at Riverside Lakes, revelling in nature, big open spaces, petting and caring for their animals and doing some great undercover activities. Matt and Kelly & their children could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable! There are undercover areas to enjoy, with sofas, activities for the kids such as tie dying, pottery painting and face painting, a cute little shop, as well as a nature swing, lakes to walk around and an ice cream van that visited each evening. We loved how safe and free our children were, riding around on their bikes independently, making friends with Matt and Kelly’s children, as well as other campers. We also loved how sympathetic to wildlife it was, keeping grass between pitches a bit longer for the bees and wildlife, it also helped to give a little more privacy between each pitch! We LOVED the animals, we were able to be hands on with them, get involved with feeding them and petting them, it was delightful. Each pitch had its own picnic bench and fire pit, Matt would come round each evening to provide firewood if you opted for it. Thank you for a great stay, we look forward to visiting you again soon!

What a perfect campsite! We stayed here with a group of friends for my husbands birthday (some of us in bell tents and the rest on the tent field). Kelly was so helpful from the start and made sure to book us all on a pitch close to the bell tent with no one else nearby. The site itself couldn't be faulted, it is such a beautiful setting with everything you need and all well maintained and clean. Kelly and her family are so lovely and could not do enough to help us (Matt even took our beers from the car park to our pitch in his trailer!). We will 100% be back to Riverside Lakes and are planning on making it a yearly tradition as our group begins to grow with little ones because it is such a great family friendly site!

Just returned from a long weekend here, and it was absolutely amazing. First of all, the hosts Kelly and Matt are just amazing, and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. We met their daughter Bella who spent lots of time talking to our daughter and showing her round. The little shop, and the shower blocks are well maintained, as is the grounds, and everything is clean and tidy. We stayed in one of the yurts, which was spacious and clean, and we got a great night's sleep every night. The fire pit and wood burner kept us toasty. We didn't have much luck on the fishing, but that only means another trip down to sit and do nothing for 3 days. Couldn't fault the site, or the hosts and we'll definitely be back!

We stayed at this site for 3 nights in the summer. Would highly recommend. Really well kept. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. We had lots of space around our pitch including 2x picnic benches and a fire pit. The kids loved seeing the animals. We had a very relaxing time and will be visiting again.

Riverside Lakes is tranquility itself. Matt and Kelly run a beautifully maintained and perfectly picturesque site. We had everything we could possibly need, the electricity, on-site wi-fi over by the reception, and toilet and shower facilities were all easy to find and use. And the on site store is well stocked with any small essentials you may have forgotton. We cannot wait to go back again and again and again.

Absolutely beautiful spot! We just returned from a gorgeous weekend here. The pitches are large and spaced out, facilities were spotless and constantly being cleaned by the owners who work so hard to make this the perfect site. We were rescued so quickly when our campervan got stuck in the mud after a constant day of rain! We will be back! Thank you!

We loved our stay here from start to finish. 🤩We rented one of the bell tents for a weekend and it was really beautiful inside and out. The scenery, the ambience and the ownership is spot on! The hosts were fantastic and honestly couldn't recommend this place more. If you're looking for an enjoyable and tranquil get away, you found your place 😊

What an absolutely stunning site. Having caravanned for 9 years this is the best and prettiest site we have stayed on. Kelly quite simply could not have been more helpful with trying to help us with dates and accommodating us. We were able to arrive early which was very appreciated but just got lucky with previous nights bookings. The site is just lovely with plenty of space. The caravan section has 8 pitches with 5 maximum being used at any one time so always plenty of space. The lakes are kept so well along with everything else. A large toilet block also well looked after. The expanse of the whole site includes totally separate camping areas, all with their own fire pit. Firewood is driven around as dusk approaches, if you want it. If you have dogs, you don't need to leave the site as there is plenty of space and well mown paths to walk. It's unique in its no car site approach. Once you are sorted and set up, the cars are kept in a separate carpark and we were amazed what a difference this makes to a site having never experienced this before. it works ! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back very soon.

Fantastic camp site, lovely owners for whom nothing was too much trouble and their children were helping out, polite and friendly. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the stay and it was so nice to be somewhere where you didn’t need to leave to do things in the day. Very relaxed atmosphere, plenty of space, amazing setting. Must be a hood sign when most other campers we met were returning people.look forward to visiting again, thanks for lending me jump leads so I could leave!!

New Forest!! Here we come… and then we found this beautiful gem in Horton (Dorset countryside). So far during our journey our favourite spot. Not only because of the beautiful campsite, which is very big but and on every aspect very cosy, or the very good and clean facilities, but also because of the amazing owners and their children who really made our stay wonderful. We stayed here for 2 nights, but could have stayed at Riversidelakes for weeks!! We loved it. To see more of our trip through the UK and Europe, follow us on Instagram at @vanlife.fever.

A lovely, dog friendly campsite with pitches for families, groups or couples. The facilities are excellent. A fire basket is provided and £6 gets a bag of logs, kindling, matches and fire lighters. A 30 minute walk to the nearest pub. Camping and caravan membership is required but you can join on arrival.

We had the most wonderful week staying at Riverside Lakes. The site is lovely and the new owners are working really hard, making it their own. The pitches are spacious and each has a picnic table and a brazier, which is a really nice touch. Wood can be bought on site and is delivered to your pitch. There is loads of space for kids to run around and play games and, as cars have to stay in the car park, it feels really safe. The toilets, showers, and the washing up area are really clean and there's loads of hot water. We even became quite used to the compost toilet by the end of our stay! Definitely recommend this site and we'll be going back as soon as possible.

First time here, definitely won't be the last! Great site. So well spaced that it didn't feel like a site. (We rarely do camp sites but riverside lakes will be the exception) Good luck Matt & Kelly you make perfect campsite hosts.
