An excellent new bouldering wall which is open from 6am in the morning, so it's ideal for a climb before work (when it's also nice and quiet). This is part of the same family of climbing centres as Vauxwall, which I used to climb at a lot and really liked, so it's not surprising that here too there's a great range of routes and difficulty levels. There's some bike parking out the back (go through reception to get to it) and lockable cages to put your stuff in - remember to bring a padlock for them. The staff are welcoming and helpful as well.

Updates: bump it up to 4.7/5 I vam back here after a year and the wuality still holds! The off peak hour ticket was just cherry on top (£11 instead of £15). I am making this my hone gym in London now that I do come to London more often and i always staying in Islington/Hackney area. ======== 4.5/5! Wish there were better / actual cardio machines. This was the 3rd climbing gym I visited during my stay in London and easily the best I have been so far! It's boulder centric, all 4 rooms with various level problems and there's shower! Rating could take some time to recognize but that's just me. Just the right amount of difficulty for me. Got a legit v4 slab problem here. Rating is a tad harder than my home-gym in Brooklyn, NY, once passes V3; a tad tougher grading than Stronghold London Field. But it is definitely more approachable than Castle Climbing Center, another gym I went in London. Best part, the staff :)

I find Bethwall to be the best of the LCCs. A little rundown around the corners here and there but still always a great time!

Friendly staff, excellent facilities, you can rent shoes - great for experienced climbers or first-timers (accompanied by an experienced friend). Absolutely worth a visit 😃👍

Small-ish indoor bouldering gym with showering facilities, good routes and a training gym. There are multiple moon boards and a traverse training board too. They do offer towels for rent (£1.50) and a multipurpose shower gel. It isn't big, and there aren't rope climbing options, but their routes are creative and balanced, with a good range of levels. We stayed for 4 hours and there were still routes to work on. Pets seem to be welcome and there is a lovely dog at the reception who will just make your day. I loved the sense of community as well, something you only get in these small gyms I find. Highly recommend.

Lovely atmosphere at Bethwall! It's very cosy, comfortable and neat. The shop is also great with an essential variety of top-notch climbing material. The staff is friendly, helpful and really knowledgeable. Tomasz was super patient with me as a newbie to climbing and choosing my first pair of shoes.

An easily accessible climbing gym right next to the central line Bethnal Green. Frequently change problems and have a variety of slabs, overhangs and training equipment. Can get cold during the winter even though there are heaters. Bike storage inside. Snacks and coffee available at the entrance and shoe rental as well.

Bethwall is one of the best LCC climbing centres in London. Great setting, roomy and not too busy. Would highly recommend.

As someone who is fairly new at climbing I felt very welcome and thought there was a great selection of routes. Very friendly staff and good vibes. Pricing is not too bad, I paid £16.80 off peak including sign up fee and shoe hire. Will come again!

Provides various levels skills, I myself am still starting out. Not too busy on weekends and if you go on a Sunday you can park on the single yellow under the bridge outside (if you’re lucky) but plenty of space along the street. Showers and changing rooms available and cages to lock up your stuff. Bring a pad lock if you wanna keep them safe but the venue is pretty secure so no worries about safety. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and are ready to give advice should you need it. I have tried a few of their branches as they are spread across London but so far prefer this one.

Love this centre, a good mix of different styles of walls and holds, so it doesn't ever seem too busy. The staff are so lovely and friendly and it's in an ideal location next to the tube station

Great climbing wall (even a high tech one) and good location - gym facilities and mats are old, but useable. Friendly staff, good first timer discount and great snacks! They also have some socials!

Good facilities, friendly staffing, interesting setting. The only negative is too much emphasis on overhang. I would have liked to see more slab personally. Really enjoyed this double mantle blue boulder though.

Great bouldering will with all the facilities including changing rooms and showers. It also has a bike storage place a weights gym and has mesh lockers where you bring your own lock. The staff are friendly and there are lots of ways to make yourself exhausted!

Fantastic place. Great staff. Friendly atmosphere. Easy to get to. Lots of space inside and routes change often enough to keep you challenged. Love it!

Staff is always seen "working" at the "communal" tables... never anywhere for climbers to sit after climbing other than the benches. So many bethwall staff just sitting around with their computers on the one table in the common area. I thought this was why you stopped serving coffee until 3 so people wouldnt use the space as a free internet cafe so now the staff do? honestly that was such a lame move. i used to bring a lot of climbers to the wall and had JUST renewed an extended membership a week or two before you changed the coffee rule and found out thru email. This really soured my experience with bethwall / LCC. most of the staff are always v nice and helpful but I no longer reccomend the wall.

I visited 3 climbing gym in my stay in London. This gym was small but with nice atmosphere. falling zones are often fulfilled with resting climbers and it's danger to climb some boulders over them. Nice and clean toilets. Very nice and beautiful staff. A lot of holds are old fashioned. I saw the same in stronghold, just Younder had a lot of modern big structures and holds. Also it was the lowest boulder gym from them. It's nice if you are living near of this, and you go for short session.

Bethwall is so damn big for a small looking gym! So many routes to do!! I personally LOVE THE STAFF. They make the place so personable. This gym has a real sense of COMMUNITY. And everyone is welcomed. It makes my eyes water. Ily

Went for the induction plus with my girlfriend and both of us had a great time. Fi was an amazing coach. Definitely going back soon.

Great new bouldering centre, very similar to the others (vauxwall, CanaryWall etc) so really consistent. Two arches open atm with two more on the way. Really nice space and walls, great setting as well. Bike storage is out back off the street so really safe. Staff are so friendly as always, shout-out to Fi who's amazing. Can't wait to see it completed, hoping there'll be a space to site and enjoy tea/coffee once we're allowed.

Friendly and welcoming staff, as a beginner there were many excellent routes set out in varying difficulties, resets happen on a regular basis. Really enjoy my time here either with friends or solo. Looking forward to my next session.

Bethwall is an excellent climbing centre and I'd recommend paying a visit! I've been climbing here regularly for close to a year and have found the routes to be consistently challenging and fun as I've improved. If you climb regularly the membership is great value for money as it grants you access to other climbing walls across London. Personally I've found the staff to be the highlight of my visits to Bethwall; they're friendly, knowledgable and always have time for questions. Special shout out to Lisa and Ali, you're both class

Fantastic bouldering centre, toilets and changing area are great. Warm up area is great and spacious. Excellent bouldering problems spread across 4 rooms. Definitely would recommend this place and I would visit this centre again in the future. Thanks Bethwall, great place you got here.

Great vibes, great climbs. Staff is amazingly kind and welcoming, i got into climbing mostly because of how nice they are! Fun routes for all levels, gender neutral toilets (yay!) and a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere from other climbers. Easy to feel comfortable as a beginner and not a macho man. Decent gym equipment as well
