We had our wedding at The Hospitium in September 2022 - a truly beautiful venue, and the backdrop of the Museum Gardens is just perfect for wedding photos. The wedding team was wonderful and made the whole process very smooth and enjoyable, culminating in an amazing wedding day. Would 100% recommend!

We had our wedding here in July, the Whirlwind Wedding package. Fantastic location, great staff at York Museums Trust who were always quick to respond to questions and made the whole process a pleasure to organise. The catering from Bradshaws was excellent too. Highly recommended.

We held our wedding reception at The Hospitium in October 2023 and had the best experience. From the moment we booked the venue until the last dance, everything went so smoothly and efficiently, and was stress free! The whole wedding team are so friendly and incredible at their jobs, always on hand to help with questions and suggestions, and they made our wedding vision come to life. I had complete trust that they would decorate the venue exactly how we planned. It is the most beautiful venue in an incredible setting, which makes for some beautiful wedding photos. Can not recommend enough.

I attended a wedding here recently. A beautiful venue right in the heart of York. With a function space dow stairs and upstairs, the transitions between ceremony, dinner and party.

Went to an event here, always wanted to check out the building, it's modern but has beautiful old beams, great venue and situated in the museum gardens is perfect.

From the first venue viewing all the way to the final invoice The Hospitium and Bradshaws teams were world class. They made our wedding a truly unforgettable experience! It is a unique setting run by experienced professionals with a warm, friendly approach.

Had our Sons wedding here, everything was perfect on the day, service was excellent.

Visited as part of a works do. Nice venue with period features. Served a nice selection of buffet snacks.

Fantastic wedding, team were amazing and location is spectacular. We didn't manage to get on the Instagram feed but I guess that's what happens when you are over 40 🤣 our photographer has amazing shots from a brilliant day. The caterers ' Bradshaw's of York' are definitely the highlight

My Son had his wedding at The Hospitium, what a beautiful building, the staff were all lovely, and the venue itself was stunning !

We got married here on 28.6.15 and it was wonderful! The wedding co-ordinators and staff working on the day were great, everything ran very smoothly and all our requests were listened to and dealt with. Such a beautiful venue, lovely rooms inside with a bar area. We had a live band in the evening which worked really well in there, very atmospheric! Lovely to be in the grounds of the Museum Gardens for photos. Very special venue for an intimate and relaxed wedding

The grounds for this facility are really really good. They have a lot of land to relax in on a nice day and there always seems to be an ice cream van. The venue itself was very historic looking with stone floors throughout. It has 2 very spacious rooms with a bar on the bottom floor. The bar seems to have a good selection considering how small it is! The food we had was very good but the goat was a bit too fatty for my taste.

This mysterious building was one of the abbey's support buildings, its purpose however is not known. It is definitely worth visiting the park where the building stands from the 14th century.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Hospitium on 26th May 2018. It was THE perfect venue and setting. From the very first informal discussions with the wedding coordinators through to the big day, we were impressed with their friendly and professional approach. The day itself ran seamlessly, the food and service from Bradshaws were exquisite and we enjoyed every single minute with not a hint of stress throughout. The Museum Gardens provided a stunning backdrop to proceedings and photographs. I would highly, highly recommend The Hospitium as a wedding venue. I just wish we could do it all again!

Stunning venue inside & out! If you’re looking for a venue that offers stunning scenery in a historic setting this is the place for you. Never have we been to such an enjoyable wedding venue like this! Get it at the top of your list!
