Absolutely
dreadful
car
park.
Having
attended
a
school
concert
at
the
Barbican,
we
paid
at
the
box
office
and
got
back
to
our
car
at
about
8pm.
There
was
a
huge
queue
of
cars
waiting
to
exit.
The
car
park
was
unmanned
and
had
a
single
exit
barrier.
Because
of
the
long
wait,
paid
tickets
had
expired
and
drivers
couldnโt
work
out
how
to
pay
the
extra
charges
that
were
being
demanded.
I
watched
at
the
barrier
for
about
15
minutes
whilst
cars
tried
to
exit.
In
that
time
about
3
cars
managed
to
get
out.
Over
50
were
waiting.
The
queue
was
gridlocked.
In
one
hour
of
waiting
to
get
out
we
moved
about
10
yards.
We
abandoned
our
car
in
the
car
park
and
walked
home.
No
doubt
tomorrow
morning
theyโll
try
to
charge
us
for
overnight
parking.
Donโt
go
near
this
car
park.
One
automated
exit
barrier
in
an
unmanned
car
park
of
this
size
is
totally
inadequate.
Their
telephone
switchboard
had
closed
down
at
8pm
and
there
was
no
means
to
summon
help.
Awful,
awful
experience.
What
is
even
worse,
it
seems
from
reading
other
reviews
that
this
is
a
regular
occurrence
and
the
owners,
Q-Park,
have
done
absolutely
nothing
about
it.
Further
comment;
The
response
below
from
Q
Park
is
of
course
totally
inadequate
and
only
adds
insult
to
injury.
They
canโt
even
spell
โapologiseโ.
Am
I
meant
to
be
grateful
for
the
fact
they
allowed
me
to
exit
their
car
park
without
further
charge
14
hours
after
I
had
paid
to
do
so
and
when
in
flagrant
breach
of
their
contractual
obligations
they
had
failed
to
facilitate
my
exit
yesterday
evening
leaving
me
and
my
family
to
walk
home
in
the
dark?
There
was
a
single
exit
barrier
which
was
malfunctioning,
the
(allegedly
secure)
car
park
was
unmanned
after
8pm
and
their
switchboard
wasnโt
answering
calls.
Their
complacent
response
underlines
the
fact
that
they
couldnโt
give
a
damn
about
their
obligations
to
their
customers
and
are
purely
interested
in
making
money
for
their
parent
company.
They
know
very
well
that
there
are
long
queues
after
well
attended
events
at
the
Barbican
but
set
their
charges
so
that
your
ticket
is
only
valid
for
departure
a
short
time
after
you
have
paid
knowing
full
well
that
the
queues
will
be
such
that
the
time
will
have
expired
before
you
reach
the
barrier.
Nobody
should
go
anywhere
near
their
car
parks
if
they
have
any
sense.
This
has
been
happening
for
years
according
to
the
reviews.
They
do
nothing
about
it
and
simply
make
empty,
hollow
and
insincere
apologies
hoping
to
entice
the
next
fool
to
use
their
car
parks.
I
bet
they
wonโt
respond
to
this
further
comment
because
there
is
no
honest
answer
they
can
give.
By
the
way,
according
to
their
last
filed
accounts
they
have
net
liabilities
of
over
ยฃ23
million.
