Absolutely over the moon with Smaug my new Beardy, hes really sociable already and a beautiful Citrus Tiger Blue Bar Leatger Back Morph. Mal and his staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, as a first time Beardy owner, i left the shop feeling confident in the info he had given me but also know that Mal's only a phonecall or message away if i have ANY questions or concerns. The shop is always clean and tidy, we purchased a Gecko last year from Mal for my daughter, so are regular visitors, and i always enjoy looking at the other reptiles which are so well looked after and have loads of enrichment in their environments. I would HIGHLY recommend if you're thinking about becoming a reptile owner to go to Mal at The Grinning Gecko.

Really nice reptile and invert shop. Good range of dry goods as well as food and plants. Not everything is on display so it's worth speaking to them if there's something specific you're after. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but there's plenty of side streets nearby. I picked up 2 juvenile Mourning Geckos

What an amazing experience we have had buying our new pet, Willoughby the bearded dragon. From the first time I contacted Mal and the team, they have provided 5-star customer service, explaining everything I needed, guiding me on how to care for our pet and making sure we got an amazing deal! It is clear to see that the staff here love the animals and want to make sure they have the best habitat in their new homes. We didn't ever feel rushed and left the shop feeling confident and ready to care for Willoughby. Even the after care service is excellent, with reassurance that if we ever need any help, a quick message and the team will help us with whatever we need. Customer service like this isn't very common nowadays, but I would absolutely recommend Grinning Gecko to all of my friends!

This is the only local shop I'll go to, they actually care about the welfare of their animals and weirdly enough that's a rare trait in the area. Had a few animals from them and they're all amazing, great information and advice is always given and over-all it is the best shop in the blackpool area in my opinion.

Got my bearded dragon a month ago, shes so lovely and healthy! Very helpful staff, you can tell they care for their reptiles.

Great friendly staff. With lots of knowledge which they shared with my 10yr old who is getting a ready to bring her reserved bearded dragon home. Couldn't ask for anything more and would highly recommend.

Excellent store, picked up a few bits we needed. All vivs and tanks were immaculate, next visit will probably be for another addition to my reptile collection.

Not a nice member of staff dealt with me, i called to say i was coming to get a tortoise for a family member. I drove for a long time only to be told i needed photos and proof of where the tortoise was going to live and that i had all the correct equipment. Every answer i gave was met with a further question. Why not tell me on the phone before i went? I got the feeling she didnt want to sell one, so i left and wont be back.

All of the staff in the shop are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They have guided our son over the last few months in getting his habitat perfectly set up ready to bring home his new crested gecko, and have been so patient and kind with him. I really cannot recommend this shop highly enough, all of their animals are so well cared for and their expertise both before, during and after buying our new pet have proved invaluable.

We bought two geckos today. A beautiful crested gecko and a gorgeous leopard gecko. All the animals in the shop are immaculately well cared for. The people there clearly have an excellent knowledge of how these animals should be kept. They provided all the information that is required for us to try and match their care at home. I assume that the after care will equal the equality of the experience we've had so far. I would highly recommend this business if you're looking for geckos or other unusual pets.
