Drove 10 miles to recycle some waste, arrived to find 3 council workmen stood around chatting to one another. When I asked for guidance on which container to place certain objects I was met with "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, that will cost you £4 per item mate. Don't blame me it's them councilors who set the prices". I can't help but wonder how much gets fly tipped in the locality because if these negative attitudes. Is this really a good return on ratepayers money. I think not!

Very rude employee, admittedly I put something in the incorrect skip, he was very aggressive, I apologized and he shouted at me to take it out, I explained that this would be unsafe as I would need to climb in and I'm disabled, he removed the item and said 'not difficult is it' very sarcastically. I thought the staff were there to assist and not shout and be aggressive towards the public, very poor attitude.

I appreciate that this is a busy time of the year however manners cost nothing, the site has very little command and control, no guidance, no instruction and a certain individual who's name I don't have screaming and shouting at everyone. The way he spoke to me was disgusting, a lovely lady that was present stated that I was in the right and he was out if order. I would like to stress that this falls on one individual and not the team. Please could someone assist as I would like to raise an official complaint, it's fair to say I want to go back and educate this individual however I would rather do it the correct way.

"Recycling centre" I don't think so. Had numerous items some almost new, plus usable items, asked council staff (3 of them just observing) where they needed to be "over there came the reply" no help whatsoever, just not interested! Everything went in the skips. Shame the charity shops are closed as normally all the items would have been donated to them ( Staff that normally work unpaid). Council should be ashamed of staff at this site. Then to top it all get a nail in my tyre leaving site (£10 repair) cheers Scunthorpe council. Never seen such a scruffy site staff obviously not trained in the use of brushes and shovels.

Arrived this morning at 8.30, all the staff members were in the cabin on their mobile phones, one of them managed to open the door and the guy in front of me asked about some stuff he had brought that was good and could be recycled, the answer was “throw it in the skip”. I managed to keep the guys attention for another second or two , I said I had a fridge freezer and does it go in the container “ the door was open “ yeah but make sure it’s clean no food was the reply ( grunted ) And then they were back to their phones. The site is scruffy and obviously the staff couldn’t give a toss. Council should be ashamed of this site/staff.

Whenever we take a car load of garden refuse usually the staff are very helpful and generally there is someone to ask about irregular items of refuse. We tell everyone about our refuse Centre it is very organised and easy to recycle our refuse, keep up the good work lads

Not the most helpful of staff this morning taking things to correct bin tobe shouted at regarding emptying bags not given time to actally lift the bags in before he shouted ..maybe customer service training required

After 3 years of going to the local skips in our camper van (which is our only means of transport) we were told we cannot use them this morning at Scunthorpe. The employee concerned was very abrupt and rude. We tried to explain that we have never had a problem before but he would not listen. A true jobsworth.!!!

Rude and lazy. Shouted at to "spread my rubbish around the skip,don't just put it in one place". I had 3 bin bags ,a xmas tree and half a dozen picture frames. I think that's your job isn't it,or do you actually get paid to stand around talking to your mates all day? Need to learn some manners!!

Typical Nth Linc's Council run place, no organisation 😡 but the Council don't do anything right. Half hearted all the time.👎

Never had to wait. Straight in and straight out. Watch out for parking kerbside as people park in 2 lanes so you could get boxed in waiting for people to finish unloading before you can get out.
