I
visited
Watatunga
for
a
four
seater
buggy
safari
ride
with
family
last
year
during
the
Summer
and,
having
throughly
enjoyed
it,
I
returned
this
Autumn
with
my
sister
and
nephews
(ages
5
and
8).
Both
times
the
tour
was
well
organised,
with
fun
and
informative
narration
conveyed
through
walkie
talkies.
Our
guide
was
brilliant
for
pointing
out
wildlife
we
would
otherwise
have
missed
and
there
were
plenty
of
opportunities
to
stop
and
observe/take
photos
during
the
hour
and
a
half.
Seeing
the
animals
is
not
guaranteed
as
they
are
left
to
roam
free
(which
makes
me
happy!),
but
this
was
great
as
it
makes
each
experience
different.
Last
summer
we
saw
lots
of
buffalo,
some
antelopes
and
deer,
this
time
there
were
no
buffalo
to
be
found
but
we
spotted
different
varieties
of
the
deer
and
antelope,
plus
pheasants,
a
rare
peacock
and
other
birds.
We
were
lucky
enough
to
escape
the
rain
and
have
good
weather
both
times,
but
it's
worth
noting
that
whilst
the
front
two
seats
of
the
buggy
are
sheltered,
the
back
seats
(which
face
the
other
way
and
have
adjustable
seatbelts)
are
not,
so
I'd
recommend
taking
layers,
waterproofs
and
a
hat.
There
is
plenty
of
parking
on
gravel
on
site,
plus
toilets
and
a
small
gift
shop
and
drinks
counter
from
which
you
can
buy
coffee,
teas,
hot
chocolates
and
crisps/biscuits
when
it
is
manned
(we
had
to
wait
for
a
bit
after
the
tour
but
eventually
someone
did
come
in
and
serve
us).
The
kids
loved
it
and
got
very
excited
at
being
able
to
tick
animals
off
the
checklist
we
were
provided
with,
a
nice
little
souvenir.
All
in
all,
it's
well
worth
a
visit
if
you're
interested
in
nature
and
want
a
little
adventure...
Who'd
ever
have
thought
you
could
go
on
safari
just
a
stone's
throw
from
King's
Lynn!
