An exceptionally nice bookshop in central Cambridge. Expansive collection with a wide range of board games, second hand books, notebooks, manga, childrens books, fiction and non-fiction. Popular amongst both locals and tourists. A nice addition to the city

A great bookstore at the heart of Cambridge. You’ll find fiction books, a large children books section, non fiction, the latest hardcover releases, classics, and much more. Staff attentive and very helpful.

Lovely bookshop, nice and easy to view, huge range of books and a lovely local Cambridge wrapping paper range. If a bookshop in the area is what you’re after, this will tick all the boxes.

One of my favourite bookshops. Huge, with an outstanding choice, including a great value secondhand section with sofas where you can sit and read. Helpful, friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Fantastic bookshop! It's huge - there are lots of books and board games. You can also find puzzles, posters, and different gifts. There are a few levels with different themes - novels, science fiction, children's books, etc. There is also an area where you can sit and read. The staff is polite and helpful.

Exceptional bookshop just opposite to Trinity College. Fantastic collection of books and you also get board games, interesting writing accessories, great notebooks... You can spend hours going through their collection. They also have great poster collection and limited edition art works. Second hand book collection is also nice.

One of the best bookshops in the country - especially for academic books in all disciplines. There is a good selection of secondhand books in the basement. It is *the* place I must visit whenever I am in Cambridge.

Absolutely fantastic, great selection and really knowledgeable staff. I recommend their film literature section, its quite well stocked. Very cozy with a classic bookshop feel. Great for when you want to buy a specific book and get great customer service and recommendations, as well as for an afternoon of browsing through their extensive stock. Highly recommend!

It is a vast book store. Have all sorts of books for age 4 to 80. Situated at stone throw distance of Kings College. You can visit the store even if you are not a book lover.

Heffers is Cambridge's most comprehensive book shop. Specialist stuff, try the Cambridge University Press shop but only you try H. A marvelous browse in a great ambience. If you like actual books, i.e on paper, what a joy. Any genre or type. Maybe stuff you didn't know you were interested in Stuff you are interested in but didn't know there were so many good books. Don't blame me if your finances are not quite what you expected after a visit.

Ah, Heffers bookshop! A Cambridge institution. Although the Heffers chain has bitten the dust, this, their flagship store, survives. A great selection of books, on all subjects. They’ve even added a secondhand section, in the basement. And sometimes they have discounts. Such as three for two. I’ve bought countless books here. From Tintin comics, as a kid, through to the history and science books that I’m most interested in these days. And art books. Other bookshops have come and gone. It’s nice that Heffers, although it’s changed ownership, is still there.

Simply the best experience on a rainy afternoon in Cambridge. Great and both a wide and deep selection of new and second hand books on so many specialist subjects. Really interested and interesting staff . Very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended and dog friendly.

Amazing layout, roomy, and clean. Had a great selection of books amongst multiple levels. Service was also amazing. I had to use the restroom (no restroom in store) so I asked the cashier and she took the time to show me the map on where to find one. Definitely would recommend. They also have a neat second-hand book section on the bottom floor that is nicely organized.

Situated in the charming city centre of Cambridge, this very well stocked and nicely laid out store of character is a pleasant place to select from a fantastic range of books and the more obscure titles not found in a national chain. I spent a long time there just breathing in the atmosphere of a 'real' book trader. The staff were very helpful.

Wow I was amazed at the level of books and information this shop had. It was my first time looking around. I was in there best part of an hour. Will be going back for sure. I enjoyed looking through all the cards at the front of the shop and then moved on to the games and gifts along the side of the shop. Then I could start to look at the books.

This shop has an extensive choice of board games in the basement. The person managing the board games section is really knowledgeable and provides useful and accurate advice about what to buy next! The prices are fair as well, I love this place.

I’ve been visiting Heffers for over 50 years. I was so very disappointed to see that they have severely cut back their excellent board game section to just a few shelves. Students love games, families love games. The local games cafe is always packed. Why Heffers?? Your selection of games and the expertise of your staff was second to none. Hugely disappointed.

👍👍 An amazing experience! After seeing the centre in various Tom Scott videos, I had to come see it for myself. There's plenty of older machines and consoles to try out, but much more impressive is the large museum area. It's somewhat hidden down a corridor but actually makes up most of the space, and...
