Amy's classes are amazing. She's so knowledgeable and patient. I love bringing home an original one of a kind piece of jewellery from her class. I can't wait to book another one!

Amazing day! I did a silver workshop and made myself a ring. Could not be more pleased with the result! Amy did a great job to give everyone enough attention/guidance, and to advise on ways to help create something you'll cherish! I would go back in a heartbeat!

I have attended many of Amy’s courses over the years and have enjoyed every single one. Amy is an excellent teacher giving really clear instruction whilst retaining a wonderful atmosphere. Her love of what she is doing is clear in her approach, the workshop is a brilliant space that has been very well designed so everyone can work effectively. I try and take a class every year or so just to refresh my techniques and I always come away brimming with inspiration and ideas. Really can’t recommend Amy more highly

I've attended quite a few mixed ability silver workshops with Amy now (which I think speaks for itself as I keep coming back). I would really recommend these workshops as Amy is an excellent teacher, with lots of knowledge and patience. The silver studio at The Oxford Bead shop is spacious and well equipped with all the tools you can imagine. The really great thing about these workshops is you can come along with no experience whatsoever and will leave with a beautiful finished piece of jewellery you've made to gift or treasure yourself. If you keep coming back, like I do, you'll get the opportunity to make lots of different pieces, develop your skills and have lots of fun. Workshops are kept to small groups, so there is plenty of one to one teaching time and it's so inspiring to see what everyone else is making. There is also a well stocked shop adjacent to the studio so you can take home kits, tools or beads to continue making at home.

Amy is a very talented jewellery maker and what shines through in her shop and workshop is her passion and enthusiasm for sharing her love for this with others. I have attended her workshops and, along with another tutor, been taught so much. The friendly, relaxed environment is so inviting. Check out the www and you’ll see the beautiful things created and if, like me, you give it a try you’ll be amazed at what you can do too.

I have undertaken an introduction to Silver clay course with Amy and have a further course booked next month. As a tutor Amy in knowledgable and approachable, and ensured everyone in the group felt able to ask questions. It felt brilliant to learn new skills and knowledge about a subject area I’d been interested in for a while. I love popping into Amy’s shop, Amy is always happy to answer questions and I never leave empty-handed. I’m can’t wait to do my next course and looking forward to increasing my own knowledge & skills.

I had followed Amy on Instagram for a while, and then by pure coincidence my brother got me a voucher for Christmas, so I booked a PMC intro class. It was a fantastic day! I went in knowing nothing, and came out with two pieces of silver jewellery I’d made from scratch. Amy is so patient and knowledgeable, no question was too daft to ask. And she keeps the coffees coming! Its a great workshop space, and set up to be as safe as possible with the pandemic, with Perspex screens to keep you safe and plenty of room at the work stations. I got chatting to a lady who had done the silver mixed ability day class and said how good it was, and so I signed up for that before I left. I took my daughter too, and we came away with spinner rings we made completely ourselves with Amy’s guidance. Obviously I’m already booked on my next course - once you start, it gets addictive! It’s such a nice way to spend a day, and you come away with a piece of jewellery that means so much more than anything you ever buy from a shop. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I’ve spent 4 very happy and relaxing days learning from Amy in her fantastic studio - not done anything like this before - each time I’ve taken a little bit more confidence away with me! Amy is very patient and spends a lot of time demonstrating and explaining how to do lots of different techniques. Working alongside 5 others, the small class sizes are great too. I’m now going to try some of the techniques at home to see what I can make - I’ll be back for another class soon though…… it’s slightly addictive!

I’ve attended several of Amy’s courses now including silversmithing, sea glass & ceramics, Enamelling, & Precious Metal Clay workshops. It is always a joy to attend workshops with Amy - she is professional and friendly, and always well prepared. During the stand-alone day courses, Amy ensures that the sessions are challenging but achievable - with every participant able to walk away with finished products - while also allowing for individual creativity and personal taste. Everything from demonstrations to equipment is set up in advance to maximise our time on the day. For longer courses, Amy is supportive and knowledgeable - I am sure I could have been the source of frustration for a less patient teacher but Amy has guided me through several experimental pieces, even researching alternative techniques in advance to reach the desired results.

Birthday party /children’s workshop I can’t thank Amy enough for the charm bracelet workshop for my almost 12 year old daughter and her friends. She squeezed us at very short notice. Amy is an excellent teacher - patient, encouraging and knowledgeable.
