Excellent customer service, One colleague in particular ‘Melissa’ was incredibly helpful. An overall easy and pleasant experience, would definitely recommend for any sporting equipment.

Great service today - I totally messed up when buying a jacket that was really a size too small. Went back to see if anything could be done - and the staff I spoke with could not have been more helpful. Respect guys, good job and thank you. I've been slow to learn about Decathlon, but I'm now calling there first for (in my case) 'outdoor gear'. Great kit for a fraction of the trendy brands. Highly recommended.

Wish I could sit on my amazing Decathlon bike and give this place 5 stars, but the staff won't let me. If you want to feel like a chore, come here. The staff are borderline rude and you will likely feel you are inconveniencing them by asking for help. 2 stars because I love my bike.

They've somehow managed to sell us two faulty items in a row. First, we bought a tent which had a hole in it (which we discovered when we used it first time to go camping and it started raining). They kindly offered us a £30 voucher for the inconvenience and offered an exhange. We then used the voucher to buy a camping kitchen unit - when we came home we thought we'd set it up so to check it's all fine. Of course it wasn't - mud on the legs, bits missing, and scratches on the metal. Unusable, and another 34 mile trip to Decathlon wasted. Decathlon clearly just throw returned items back on the shelf - make sure you open boxes/bags before purchasing to make sure it's actually brand new. Just ridiculous that 100% of our purchases have had issues. Won't be returning. Positives are friendly staff in-store (not great online) but that's it.

Massive kudos to Alejandra! I purchased a jacket in store hoping that it would arrive a day or two later. After a week of delay, I spoke to Alejandra whom immediately resorted to fixing this issue. She contacted Decathlon central and ensured the jacket was being delivered to the store the next morning. Surprisingly, she called me the next day outside of her shift hours to confirm the ordered had arrived! She has displayed exceptional customer support and this review is incomparable to the effort she put into help me with a delayed jacket order!

Have bought our kids their bikes here. Great bikes and great service. My son’s 2 years ago. On buying my daughter a new bike for Christmas I was looking to get the bike insured. T&cs say you need to provide a proof of receipt of any lock you use, I bought this separately on the day of purchase of our sons bike, so unfortunately I didn’t have a receipt. On contacting Decathlon Oxford they have been able to locate a copy of the receipt and email me. Such great service.

Awful customer service at least for the cycling part of the shop. Came in the other day with my partner to buy a mountain bike, was told by the chap that the didn’t have his size on display but had it in a box out the back then he walked off. We then ordered it online, paid extra to receive it the next day and then our order was cancelled just before lunchtime. We called the store and no answers; we got through to a chap who didn’t sound particularly keen to be answering the phone, only to be told that the order was cancelled probably because the bike was reserved for someone and that’s it, no alternative or apology. Very rude staff currently in the cycling area!

Big store with really helpful staff. They have something for every sport and at a range of budgets. Parking can be a bit tight so park by b&q and stroll over.

I took my bike frame in as the wheels had been stolen, and the two guys working in the bike shop were incredible helpful, found the correct parts and worked right up until closing to make sure I had a working bike again. Really grateful for how helpful they were after having the wheels stolen earlier in the day!

Excellent range of stuff here, across all the sports you can think of, plus camping! But it's the staff that make it great - some of the best customer service I've received in ages; they really went out of their way to help. Which has to be a good recommendation!

Good store, generally well stocked and lots of variety for various sports but keeping it simple enough. Also helping stop waste with too good to go and making more pricey sports accessible with rentals of equipment. Today I bought loads of socks! Compression, walking and workout-I’ve bought theirs for 6 years now mostly for work and unlikely to switch for the forseeable given the colours, comfort, features and price. Plus they last ages!

Great shop with great quantity of items and wide variety of sports equipments. Toilet was closed so it will be great if it could be fixed it. Price was fair but some student discounts could be even better.

I visit the store often for things I need and always find the store tidy and with everything you may need. Staff are lovely and super friendly! Always happy to help and very professional. Great location too!

I ordered a coat from the store last Saturday for £120, I was told that I would receive an instant email confirming my order. I didn't receive an email and I queried this in store with the manager. I was told that it would be fine. A few days later I still hadn't received anything so I contacted decathalon again who said my order was on its way. The next day I receive an email saying my order has been cancelled despite decathalon taking £120 from my account. I still have not had my money back and I have not received a coat. The customer service has been really poor

The staff at this store are always friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. They go out of their way to help you find the product you need. We were served today by Jack Clark who was brilliant and so helpful. He showed me how to make a return using the self service tills. He was polite and friendly in the way he explained what I needed to do. Jack is definitely an asset to your store!

Great shop with great people working in it! Affordable good quality ebikes and cycling equipment is what I love Decathlon for.

At the Oxford shop Zeinab, who I think is a supervisor, displayed huge skills with the system & endless patience as she negotiated my failure to bring a receipt for a return. Such classy service, thanks.

Best customer service I have ever seen. Past closing time still helping me assemble a tent. Great team work too. It’s just a shame that parkingeye.co.uk fined me £100 for parking in the decathlon car park. Why have a car park if customers can be fined for using it? Decatholon - can you help?

What a pleasure going into decathlon oxford , today I wanted to buy a e bike for my wife , sorry I did go to halfords first WHAT a mistake no one came to help , no test bike, no one to give us advice I walked OUT and will not be returning to halfords. As soon as we walked in decathlon the guy on the door said hello and smiled a really good start. We went over to the ebike and had a look around ourselves I got as far as what I know about ebikes . I asked Arshed one of the staff to show me round , he was GREAT !!! did not push, explained everything really well, we had a TEST run on the bike with no problem. I brought one today, I pick up fully ready to go with my extras in 2 days. WELL DONE ARSHED VERY GOOD SALESMAN, GREAT SHOP I REALLY RECOMMEND IT. Thank you and see you in 2 days Ian
