We had such a lovely morning with the donkeys and Julia was a wonderful guide. I would recommend this day out to everyone!

Booked this very last minute on a recent road trip around Wales and it ended up being an absolute highlight for both myself and my husband. Julia was helpful and welcoming from the first time we spoke on the phone, all throughout the visit, and even following up with some amazing photos she took of us and the donkeys! The dinky donkeys Maverick and Goose are real characters and despite warnings that Maverick can sometimes live up to his rebellious name and have a bit of a temper tantrum, he was good as gold throughout his walk! We got plenty of hugs from him and his brother and also got to meet two of Julia's beautiful horses as well. The walk itself is scenic and relatively easy going if you are fit and healthy, although if you have trouble with uphill walking and slippery surfaces then Julia can accommodate you if you let her know beforehand. She was also great at preparing a vegan friendly picnic for me and my husband despite the fact we only booked the evening before! I would recommend this activity to every animal lover visiting the Brecon Beacons - you are guaranteed to leave smiling from ear to ear!

My self my husband and daughter went on the dinky donkey picnic on Wed 8th Sept. Julia our host was fantastic as were Maverick and Goose the donkeys. We had a very enjoyable 2 hours walking the donkeys having our picnic and learning a lot about their behaviour / diet and how strong they are. They were defiantly in charge of the walk. It was great getting so close to them and with Julia taking photo's we were able to just enjoy the visit. I would really recommend the experience and we are looking to do this again in the future.

What an amazing time. Who knew that donkeys were so intelligent? I definitely learnt a few things today. Julia was amazing from initial contact to the information and the knowledge that she taught me. 100% had my miniature donkey fix and would love to do it all again.

Just spent another hour or so with Goose and Maverick this time with my parents, both in their eighties, and my niece and nephew, both young teenagers, and everyone had a wonderful time. Goose and Maverick are magical. You can’t help but smile when you’re with them and it stays on your face for days!

We had an amazing time here with Maverick and Goose. The experience is really well planned and really personal as you are in such a small group (just two per donkey) . The donkeys are full of character and definitely lead the experience. It was great getting to know them and understand how to work with them. Make sure you come prepared for the outdoors - it can be pretty muddy! Overall a truly memorable day out!

Had a lovely afternoon walking Maverick and Goose, with the friendly guidance of our host Julia. Both the boys had such a lovely personality and it was great having the opportunity to give them a fuss for a couple of hours. The weather was on our side so we got to thoroughly enjoy the picnic too - One of our group was vegan and this was catered for 🙂. Well worth the day trip down!

I booked this as a surprise for my girlfriend on our trip to the Brecon area. We had a lovely time, I definitely feel like I got to know more about donkeys and how they behave. Maverick and Goose are full of character. Our guide Julia made sure to talk us through handling the donkeys so we were aware of what might spook them and what they shouldn't try to eat on the way, as well as how to get them to move on (don't try tug of war with a donkey). She provided us with a great picnic and catered to our dietary needs as we are vegan, as well as taking some lovely photos of us along the way. A very cute day out!

Absolutely incredible experience! Julia made us feel so welcome and at ease. The Donkeys are absolutely adorable and loved playing games with us. Not sure who had more fun, us or them! Would definitely recommend as these animals are a wonderful way to destress and relax. What a wonderful way to spend my Mam's 50th birthday - thank you so much, we will be back!

We booked on to do the dinky donkey walk during our stay in Brecon. Julia was really lovely, excellent communication before the walk and the picnic provided was nice. The walk itself was suitable for all abilities and could be adapted to different requirements. The two donkeys (Maverick and Goose) were beyond adorable and we groomed them and got to know them before taking them out for the walk so we were confident in handling them. We also got the chance to meet some of the horses on the farm too which was a bonus! Would definitely recommend and would go back to do one of the other experiences if we ever return.

Spent such a gorgeous morning with maverick and goose (and Julia, our host!) The donkeys have such brilliant and funny personalities. The surroundings are beautiful as well. It’s a really great experience, you spend a lot of time with the donkeys and the group is very small. Perfect pre information as well. Thank you Julia! We’ll be back!

A fun and educational couple of hours in the company of our lovely dinky donkey enthusiast Julia. Thoroughly recommended. Bring your wellies or walking boots! We got to groom Maverick and Goose (yes really) while our host briefed us very thoroughly then off up the hill leading the donkeys. At the midpoint we had a snack picnic looking over the Brecon Beacons. Wonderful experience and it wasn't bought for me but my wife 😃

A fabulous few hours with Julia and the Mini-Donks, Maverick and Goose. They are willful and very strong but adorable. Hope to visit them again soon.

An absolutely fantastic experience! We went on a great walk and had a nice little picnic at the top of a hill. The donkeys were really well behaved and incredibly friendly. We will certainly be revisiting

My partner and I went on the lovely dinky donkey walk with Julia. The donkeys were so sweet and we had a beautiful autumnal stroll through the countryside with them. I would highly recommend this to animal lovers and anyone who enjoys an unusual day out. The walk was leisurely and not at all difficult, but I would highly suggest wearing waterproofs and wellies. I will be back in the near future as I have fallen in love with Maverick and Goose.

I had great fun with Reed on the sheepdog experience. The dogs were great with the sheep and Reed came out on a separate day because he was sick on the scheduled day. Well worth it. Fabulous experience up close and personal.
