This surgery needs investigating, closing, and immediately. Having been ill with 'acid reflux' for over 9 months now, (I diagnosed myself to make myself feel better) resulting in daily vomiting and coughing until I feel faint, I had to phone this doctors multiple times a week to be taken seriously, and even now after 9 months I've only just been referred for an endoscopy! I was passed around numerous doctors like a parcel because they all didn't know what was wrong and they all came to different conclusions. I have literally been begging for help from this surgery, only to be told to wait a little longer, 'you'll be fine soon' or the best one... 'Its all in the mind' For the first four months of my ongoing issue I had weekly blood tests which resulted in nothing showing. I have been issued numerous different medicines, which have not worked, and even an asthma pump. It's taken 9 months for a referral and I'm still doubting whether one has been submitted in the first place. It's a real shame as I feel if I were still with my old doctors surgery I would be well by now. But instead I've had to suffer unnecessarily for so long due to the way this practice is run. My health is still declining. I have found the care at this establishment completely inadequate and I'm not sure who is to blame; whether it be the Doctors themselves, or whoever runs this practice, all be it everyone is friendly on the phone, but it feels rushed. Either way I would definitely not recommend this surgery if you have any genuine illnesses, or you'll be waiting a very long time.

Been waiting over a week for my e-consult to be acknowledged, and this isn’t the first time. My repeat prescription requests have been processed late continuously since May 2022, meaning I’m frequently falling behind on my medication. I recently had to go into the surgery to have me weight, height and BP taken before I could have my prescription administered…. 4 days went by without any communication. Went into the practice to query when to expect my prescription only to be told my results had been lost and I’ll have to do the tests again! My prescription was already over a week late at this point 😕 Really poor customer service! I understand healthcare services are stretched but this is not acceptable at all!

I am a new patient desperately trying to make contact. I have now called over 20 times, each time waiting between 15 to 45 minutes without any answer. I can understand there will be busy periods, but I have tried different times throughput the day. Thought I would e mail, but no e mail address on your website, just the phone number that never ever gets answered. I have spent approx 6 hours waiting on the phone. No idea what to do next!! So stressful

Really poor service. Called first thing bang on 8am. Answered all the questions and listened to all the blurb. Assured would be called back by a Dr probably this morning, this was at 8:30. Called back in the afternoon as hadn't heard anything, told I'm on the list. Still hadn't heard back so called again just before 5 to be told they call up to 6pm. It is now 7pm. Still haven't heard from them. Waited in all day, told them it was urgent. I know the nhs is overstretched but this is just such rubbish service. No wonder this practice has so many terrible reviews. Now I'll have to wait all weekend and attempt to address my urgent health problem on Monday. Update I complained about Dr Cranefield not calling me because he decided i didn't need the appointment without even letting me know. Never heard back regarding my complaint. Rubbish service

I have an urgent medical issue and was anxious to register. First, I couldnt go in and had to speak on an intercom whilst standing in a small space where a guy had just been coughing his guts out. Second , I was told I had to register online, which I dislike. Third , when asked how long it would take to register as I am anxious to resolve my medical issue soon, the receptionist refused to say and had a very rude, uncaring attitude and just cut the conversation off. So I won't be registering there, I'd rather travel to my old surgery a few miles away.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 3 and a half years my partner and I were registered with this surgery. I am my partners carer and I have been disgusted and appalled at the way he has been spoken to and treated by the staff in this surgery. My partner has severe PTSD, chronic insomnia and autism and was told that they won’t give him any sort of medication for his sleep or episodes - no more explanation than that. We were both repeatedly fobbed off and told to go to the pharmacy and we’re told by their staff that they aren’t responsible for what we were ‘referred’ for. Every time we needed any help it was like pulling teeth - rude receptionists, horrifically rude nurses and doctors, who all need to be retrained, or better, fired, for their negligence and lack of care and empathy. This surgery is so so lucky that my partner didn’t commit suicide under their care because he was pushed and pushed so much with so little help. They put both of us through hell to be honest. We actually moved this week, and most of the reason was to get a new surgery. On top of all of this, we got a call from the head GP apologising for the terrible treatment we received and he even confirmed that most of the things the doctors/nurses had said to my partner were unethical. I’m glad they acknowledged that but it’s not giving me hope that anything will be fixed at all. He had no answers or reasonable explanations as to why we had been treated like this, just kept apologising? I mean, how are you telling someone with chronic insomnia - as in, he has ALWAYS had trouble sleeping, since childhood - that they should try going for a walk? This surgery needs to be shut down to be honest. I sincerely hope that at least one person reads this and is spared the grief of attempting to deal with these heartless people.

I moved here as it was recommended after the hideousness of Beaumont Villa. Unfortunately it isn't any better. As someone with a neurological disability that effects my mental health and my physical health, I've been made to feel stupid, unintelligent, unimportant and told/called some of the most offensive things relating to my health... BY DRS AND NURSES. It's certainly been a shock how nasty and incompetent this place has turned out to be. For the last 8 months my health has declined massively and I've had to fight for any help. We've given up now. Some of the reception staff are lovely. Very patient and understanding. They are also helpful and go out of their way. This does not apply to the Drs or other medical staff. * Amendment due to the reply from the surgery below. I have done everything you've suggested several times AND spoken to you Chris. We (this treatment has been witnessed by friends, family and support staff), gave up on the numerous complaints that we made explaining the horrific treatment I've received from your Drs and the lack of any importance put on my life. Do not have the lack of respect to pretend that you will help me. Because you haven't and you won't. I'm willing to bet this is the first time anyone's read my notes too. I also don't appreciate being patronised about being "let down by you and other surgeries"... We all know the standard of care has fallen so don't try and gaslight your patients for leaving an honest review. I find it amusing that you'll ignore complaints, medical staff will ignore the information from myself and my support people regarding my health, will ignore my notes but have more than enough time to deal with a Google review... Says it all really doesn't it and kinda proves the point. Are you sure you're not part of Pathfields Apologies to the reception staff who are the only nice and helpful people here. I appreciate you. 💜

Absolutely appalling service, doesn't even seem able now to serve their elderly, housebound patients with the most basic of needs. Repeat prescriptions late and incomplete, requested district nurse to take bloods for a (telephone) hospital appointment with a heamatology consultant not referred on more than one occasion, leaving the patient with no alternative than to cancel the appointment. I could go on..

If i could give this surgery no stars i would. Ive been mistreated countless times by Lisson Grove including right now where they are denying giving my a rescue pack. They are inconsiderate, lazy, uneducated and their customer service is awful. I have been spoken down to, dismissed, had voices raised at me. It’s truly an awful surgery and I cannot wait to leave and actually be treated as a patient and not a burden.

Don't know why people write rubbish reviews about this surgery, it's all codswallop! I've always found the surgery Doctors and Nurses very polite and helpful and do the very best to help you with whatever's gone wrong, and they're very serious In helping you to get better. This Surgery's one of the best, and I'd only leave them if I ever left Guzz. F.A.B

Closed at 9am on a Thursday? Badly in need of new management. Reports are atrocious and website is an unusable mess. No one answers the phones in the morning. You'd think this is literally resulting in avoidable deaths.

I've been with the surgery since birth but in the last ten years the standard of care has become increasingly concerning. It has got to the point where I avoid any treatment unless I need to go to hospital because I dread the next mistake from the surgery. Some less sensitive examples include: being put on antidepressants for ten years without as much as a med review so then coming off of them was a year of debilitating hell; months of dealing with a stomach problem to be told it's probably stress (turns out I'm lactose interolerant and they never even questioned me about my diet, they just didn't know and didnt care); repeatedly prescribing the same medication for an ear infection that wasn't working, then when I pointed out the absurdity of persisting with same thing that's not working, they said they'll prescribe something stronger, only for me to get to the chemist and be handed yet another bottle of the same stuff (bare in mind I'd literally communicated all of this to the practitioner not 15 minutes earlier, i can't even fathom how you make that mistake). And, possibly the most ridiculous, being told I have an infection and then prescribing me a medication that I was already on for something else (if the infection was present, then that med clearly wasn't the solution, not to mention that a moron might have thought they needed to then take both lots causing an overdose- god forbid they should even glance at your notes). Then, to tie it all off, you can regularly spend 30-40 mins on hold just to be cut off as you approach the front of the queue, and then you have to listen to the unnecessarily long and uninformative automated messages for the 3rd time that day. They'll get someone killed in a minute, if they haven't already. Don't play with your health, go with someone else and get the treatment your NI entitles you to.

AVOID VERY BAD.. Been with them for 2 years now (not by choice because it’s difficult moving doctors when on repeat prescription) My husband has epilepsy and they say EVERY month they have him on repeat prescription, but the doctors never signs off his medication and it results in him having to take more medication than he should because else he’ll be taking under.(if you didn’t know epilepsy medication has to be signed by doctor every month) they said the prescription needs to be repeat through boots, we ask boots and request that and they said it has to be repeated through the doctors, unorganised, untrained, definitely not welcoming practice, AVOID especially if your on essential repeat prescription. Had doctor speak on phone to me and and my husband on separate occasions, a Chinese lady and she was yelling down the phone… being rude ( I know she’s well known for this by the doctors)

Can’t seem to book an appointment. Phone up and have to share intimate details with a receptionist who then tells me I’ll get a phone call at some point. The reason I am trying to book an appointment cannot be resolved over the phone and is only prolonging the problem, and since when are receptionists qualified doctors who I have to share my health information with? Why is it since the pandemic it is now impossible to see a doctor, what has changed? What’s the point in going tax and national insurance, health care system is an absolute joke

Absolutely shocking service!! Please avoid these butchers if you can. My little boy has been waiting bloody ages to get an appointment although he was in pain and was being sick all the times. It looks like gps there are lazy and unprofessional as they avoid to see patients face to face at any costs!! Never seen worse medical centre in my life. Also me and my friend have reported this surgery for negligence. Please avoid

Too few staff, too many patients, too long waiting times, no budget, lack of training for new staff. Run-down premises. Very underfunded. Unfortunately an atypical example of ill managed and poorly maintained surgery.

They don't seem to be able to get my prescription right. I spent a whole year having to chase my prescription eventually speaking to their pharmacist and getting it sorted out onto one prescription that lasts for 2 months going out in 6 monthly blocks, somehow someone decided that i had medication left at the end of the 2 month period (no one asked me if this was correct and they were wrong) and left the item off of my prescription (this was my insulin) I now have 2 prescriptions on different days that I have to travel to get. Not good at all I'm afraid they can't mess around with peoples prescriptions in this way.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They don't care about people, the receptionists don't want to work and avoid getting patients in as much as possible. They will work harder trying to not work than simply doing their job. Insanely rude and uncaring. I moved house but was still signed up to this surgery, so I called up needing help with a prescription and all they kept saying is that I need to change surgery and I have 30 days to do so, even cutting me off from me telling them about what I need, repeating themselves like I didn't hear the first time they told me in the same conversation, it was completely irrelevant to what we was talking about. Forget the fact I had literally just moved house and hadn't even had the chance to change surgery yet. Even after I've changed surgery they took time out of their day and responsibilities of helping patients to send me another letter saying how I need to change? It's weird. The receptionists need sacking because the doctors aren't even that bad, they think it's THEIR surgery or something, and have a false sense of importance. Then IF you finally do get an appointment, the surgery is completely empty, they're never busy because the receptionists won't allow it. It's blatantly obvious they don't want to work. It's not fair because somebody would want that job and would want to do it well and the opportunity is wasted on people like that. They need to be reported to the NHS or something, because that shouldn't be allowed.

Admittedly attempting to make a face to face appointment to see a GP has been a daunting experience. However, having said that, the first person to reach when (eventually) making a call to the practice will be the receptionist. On the few occasions when I have called the practice I have always found that the receptionist answering my call has been most helpful. My recent call was answered by Philippa (Reception Manager), I needed help to gather some medical correspondence. Philippa was an absolute delight to talk to and couldn’t do enough to help sort a matter out. Unfortunately, I’m unable to name other receptionist's I have spoken to. I can only give them praise given the circumstances and conditions that we are all experiencing at this moment in time.

I support a person who needed help/prescription from this surgery the doctor and receptionist were excellent, they pushed the prescription through to the chemist and the staff at Boots mutely plain stayed behind 10 mins so I could collect it on behalf of my service user. Well done and thank you to the staff at Boots to.

Visited here today to have my implant changed for the first time since changing gp surgerys and cant praise them enough! The nurse was so gentle and lovely, she used local anaesthetic to ensure i felt no pain and kept me relaxed and calm which ive never had before with this. She dressing it well and made sure i was okay and relaxed before leaving the room. I was so nervous before going to this appointment as i had always had bad experiance with my implant but i can now rest easy knowing it will be fine anytime i have it changed at lisson grove

Really rubbish disorganised practice. Do yourself a favour and save all the stress and wasted time by registering anywhere else but here! Drs and receptionists who don't do what they say will. So I had an appointment booked with Dr Rudge yesterday 02/11/23 at 5pm. Dr Rudge booked this for me himself on the phone and text me to confirm. Had a phone call from a receptionist during the week who confirmed that my appointment was booked in for then. Turned up at 16:50, couldn't self-check-in as machine didn't recognise my appointment. Spoke to receptionist. She said she couldn't see an appointment for me. After going to discuss with a colleague she asked me to take a seat. After another 10 minutes or so she called me back up to reception, said the appointment wasn't booked for some reason and she had emailed Dr Rudge and he had said he couldn't see me tonight. She then said he would call me tomorrow, I requested in the morning. She confirmed she would request this. I also asked the receptionist to call me if for any reason Dr Rudge couldn't call me. Well surprise surprise 16:30 the next day and nobody called at all again. This happened the previous week to me. Why is this practice so rubbish? I made a complaint last week on their website and nobody has acknowledged this either. I will be complaining to the governing body about this. This is the worst service I've ever received from any medical practice. I've now been told there was a mix-up and they're going to look into it and get back to me. I asked when, they said Monday. I asked for a Dr. Receptionist said she didn't know if it would be a Dr. I requested a dr again and she said she would request this.
