👍👍 Great atmosphere. Bigger than the Exeter branch with better facilities and greater variation in routes and holds. Route setting quality was very high, similarly to the Exeter branch. Plenty of climbing for everyone, beginner and advanced boulderers alike. Staff were super friendly, especially Garet... This is one of my favourite places! Not only is the climbing experience fantastic but the general atmosphere, the staff and the cafe are all absolutely wonderful. Such a cosy and inviting place, I couldn’t recommend it enough. The food is lovely and there are great plant-based options (as well as milk alternatives for drinks) too. The climbing walls are periodically changed so it never gets boring!

Great atmosphere. Bigger than the Exeter branch with better facilities and greater variation in routes and holds. Route setting quality was very high, similarly to the Exeter branch. Plenty of climbing for everyone, beginner and advanced boulderers alike. Staff were super friendly, especially Gareth, whom we chatted with for quite a while. Plenty of room in the cafe, which was well set out with sofas and chairs. Table tennis was a plus too. There’s also plenty of parking spaces. It was worth the extra drive, coming from Taunton. We will certainly be back again, with the Plymouth branch having a number of advantages of the Exeter branch, in terms of staff, space, parking etc. Just wish it was closer!

I went climbing here multiple times! Great place with easy, and Olympic level climbs, very good place to learn bouldering! (Photos of me climbing and 1/2 of park)! They even have a small area for smaller children! Perfect for young climbers!

An amazing facility that is clean, modern and well equipped. There is ample free parking right out front. The route setting is excellent with an easy to use colour coded system. The Service was excellent and we were really well looked after. The cafe is excellent also. The day rate is not cheap, but the monthly membership is extremely good value. As with most things you get what you pay for !!

Its OK if your new to climbing and local. Not much Syke or atmosphere. Staff are very nice. But probably wont continue with membership as I'm coming from Falmouth and it isn't good enough for the drive. If your going to Travel from the depths of Cornwall, just go to Exeter Quay.

Love The Climbing Hanger and we are members who are lucky enough to be between both Exeter and Plymouth so we regularly visit both. Plymouth is great for access with a huge free carpark and step free access. There is a nice sized cafe with the usual relaxed Hanger vibe where dogs are welcome and there are better bathroom facilities there than in Exeter with showers too which means you can truly hang out there all day! There’s a table tennis table and a gym and workout area plus a great shop for merch. For climbing it is brilliant of course.. tons and tons of wall space with plenty of room to sit and study your course and hang with friends, loads of levels, loads of variety and lots of bouldering arches to boot.. Staff are friendly and helpful too.. it’s a special place and we love it.

Came to a birthday party here for the first time. Was such a cool place, such a variety of walls to use. The kids instructor was brilliant, started off with warm ups and in the child's room which they loved. Then into the main room. He was so down to earth and interactive with them, putting them at ease straight away. Finished with certificates. After the staff even let my little one help tidy up and sort the shoes. We sat in the cafe, great selection of food and drinks. Pizzas were a big hit. Parking onsite Toilets and showers Cafe Will be back again 100%.

I cannot express how much I love the atmosphere and the people here. It has become such a welcomed part of my life and the community is excellent. The staff are always friendly and helpful and oh my god is the food good! The focaccia? To die for. I would happily eat the whole display. Love it at TCH always.

Been my 5th visit to the center, I don't get to go often due to work but it's always a great atmosphere and very enjoyable climbing experience. This time I took my 2 children for their first climb while visiting from up country and special mention to Tash who gave a fun and interactive brief which helped them get into it and checked in regularly to see how they were getting on. Can't thank you enough for that.

The hanger is great I typically go to the one closer to me in Exeter however I had just as much fun in the bigger Plymouth climbing centre. Me and some friends went for the day and got some very good pizza and smoothies after doing a good variety of climbs, some volumes, crimps, pinches, dynos, comps and moor. I specifically loved the overhangs with climbs for a variation of skill levels.

Nicely laid out gym with some really cool, creative setting for intermediate boulderers. The Cafe area is huge and spacious and they did a first class BLT and Octoberfest beer after our session. Note to parents: Different to other gyms small children aren't permitted into the main bouldering area, so don't go on your own with your kid, go with your other half or with another adult so you can tag-team. Overall a great morning out, will be back next time we're in Plymouth.

Went for an induction session with my 9yr old son. Staff were really helpful, safety briefing efficient and tailored to individual experience. Lots of routes for all abilities. Nice café.

This was the first time for me doing anything like this, went with my family who live in New Zealand as they are back in England and enjoy climbing out there, so it was a family morning out! Staff were so friendly (Jazz sorted our induction, and she was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful). The food was also fantastic, lots of vegan and gluten free options for anyone with dietary preferences. There were five of us, I would add it did come out separately, but this really wasn't an issue as the food was a treat and not something we went for specifically, but we will definitely have food again. We will be back! 🥰

Absolutely amazing! Took my son, and his friends, to celebrate his birthday in there. The staff at the reception was absolutely amazing - definitely knew how to deal with 'almost' teenagers (sorry, don't remember your name)! Atmosphere was great. There is plenty of space for everyone for any level of climbing. Watching the kiddies made me want to try it myself. Definitely will be back!!!

Always wanted to have a go but wasn’t sure how much I could actually do. The staff make you feel very welcome, there’s no need to be apprehensive, there’s a nice cafe and nobody is judging you, just enjoying themselves. There’s lots and lots of climbing routes to chose from for all abilities so it’s all good. I’ve joined as a member now and so has my daughter and we try go 2 - 3 times a week for about 45mins and both have noticed a dramatic improvement. Way more fun than going to the gym, but you will ache all over the next day……or several days.

Really friendly and helpful staff running a great indoor climbing centre. Amazing food and drink options in their cafe as well. Highly recommend for anyone from beginner like us to experienced climber wanting to get some practice in

A superb bouldering gym. Really outstanding route-setting, probably the best in the region - a really good range for all abilities. Plenty of space for all the routes, and a really wide range of slabs and overhangs. There really is something for everyone. The café is also superb, great coffee and cakes! Large warm up and training area with a great selection of equipment. Table tennis in the entrance hall as well! Highly recommended.

Great relaxed vibe (whether you are there to climb or watch). Kids and husband enjoyed climbing whilst daughter and I drank coffee and ate focaccia - omg that was amazing!!

Fantastic bouldering centre that offers a wide range of bouldering grades to suit everyone from beginners through to competition grade climbers. Big car park with plenty of spaces so no worries about struggling to find somewhere to park. Really friendly staff and a great cafe as well make it well worth visiting.

Took all 3 of my children (girls) and an extra friend to the junior holiday session with Tash and they had a brilliant time. Tash was so encouraging and positive and they really responded to her as a coach. The space is brilliant and cafe good too. My 10 year old said "we had a brilliant coach Tash and the walls were really good"!

Great place, staff are super helpful and they replace the climbs regularly to keep you wanting more. They have shoe hire included in the price and offer memberships. The food is also good I love the goats cheese and spinach pizza that’s made there 😜 overall a really fun place

Great place to boulder. Friendly staff, good coffee and food. They hire shoes if you need and have plenty for the beginner climber to experienced.

Amazing place to climb - really spacious, loads of climbs of all levels and constantly being updated. Lovely atmosphere and their pizza is a contender for the best I've had in the south west!

🫤 The gym itself isn’t bad I would give that a 4 start but the type of people are the worst, weights everywhere very few people bother to put the weights away, ‘Personal Trainers’ just look around in boredom while training clients! So definitely wouldn’t be paying for that
