Spent a rather enjoyable 4 hours lunch catching up with a friend over excellent wine and a fantastic deli platter. The baked camembert was out of this world. Fitz, the owner, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff were attentive but not too in our faces. We were seated outside on a sunny day, overlooking the harbour, and time just flew. Being from Manchester, I found this to be exceptional value for money, at least 1/3 cheaper than I'm used to. Already booked in again to try the seafood platter in a couple of weeks time. If you're reading this Fitz, open your second in Westhoughton!

Visited HonkyTonk for the first time on Sunday and we had the best experience we could’ve asked for! We’ve heard good things and have wanted to visit for a long time so we’re so happy the restaurant lived up to our expectations! The food was amazing and we all couldn’t stop talking about it all evening! Service was 10/10, really helpful and attentive. The wine selection was incredible also. We will definitely be back! Already talking about booking a again for another couple of weekends time 😍 Picture shows a veggie sharing platter for 2 and a normal platter for 4. There were 6 of us altogether and we couldn’t finish everything so there is more than enough to go around!

My second visit to the Honky Tonk this time around it was for the dinner sharing board. The place was very quiet but it was a Tuesday evening, we didn't mind as the venue is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy good food and wine. The sharing board was lovely, beef wellington, ribs and ham all superstars on the plate. I'd highly recommend going for something a little different. It's also worth mentioning the breakfast sharing board. This was my first experience and I was blown away at how good breakfast could be.

The HonkyTonk Wine Library exceeded our expectations, well, we knew it was going to be great but they managed to take it to another level. It was the perfect venue for fine wine and dining before we headed to the theatre. The staff were amazingly enthusiastic and knowledgeable and helped us choose the best selection of wines to complement the awesome food. As soon as I saw the chicken and chips on the menu, I knew I had to try it and it was definitely worth the wait - Thank you, we will be back!

Lovely location, amazing wine selection and a sharing menu to match. We only had a quick glass of wine but it was divine. I plan on returning regularly. Not sure how to leave another review so updating this one. Now been here several times and every time a great experience slowly becoming a regular joint. Visited twice in the space of a week, because this place is just too good! Incredible selection of alcohol, delicious food and the staff go above and beyond to give you the best experience possible. Highly recommend to anyone, and everyone.

This was our first visit and won’t be our last. In fact we’ve already booked again in February. The staff, especially our waitress, were so kind and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.The food was delicious the photos don’t lie. The wine tasted amazing too. We had 2 bottles of the Malbec. And we thoroughly enjoyed the Jazz session. Perfect way to spend a wet/windy Sunday afternoon. Can’t wait for some sunshine to sit in the outside area and soak up the view.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Knowledge of the wines available by the staff is mainly very good. My only concern would be that the cost of the wine is high. A great place for a special evening.

My daughter recommended the Honky Tonk Wine Library to me after her and a friend visited. I was not disappointed. The food was great and there was plenty of it.My husband and I had a wine flight each, I can definitely recommend this. The lady serving was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will be returning soon.

We attended the Christmas Party last night and it was amazing! We arrived a bit late so we had to sit outside but the owners were very attentive and accommodating and we were given pillows, blankets, hot water bottles and our own heater. It was such a cozy atmosphere and the music was amazing. The food and drink were also 10/10 and the owner came to sit with us and chat on multiple occasions! I recommend this place highly and thank you for such an amazing evening, great team!

Attentive, cheerful and knowledgable staff. My lovely friend treated me to lunch for my 50th and HonkyTonk gifted me a glass of wine. Relaxed atmosphere and delicious platter. Looking forward to a summer vibes visit in 2023.

Highly recommended - Especially the Vegan Platter! It’s really lovely to have a dinner here. The food and service is fantastic! You can see they look after their staff and it makes all the difference for the environment. We keep on coming back for more! The vegan platter is beautiful and amazing!!

Wow what a find, don't miss out. Stunning food and hosts who really go the extra to ensure your best experience. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, great quality and value for price and can cater for intolerance. Lovely atmosphere, really know their wines (obviously) the clue is in the premises name, we did come away with a stunning bottle of Portuguese red as recommended by the owner, not disappointed. Will definitely return and 💯 recommend.

Brilliant night celebrating NYE here. Lovely environment. Nice crowd. The staff were both efficient and warm and welcoming. The comedy was good. The food was excellent Definitely freshly prepared and not food service. Plus, I have a couple of food allergies which they catered for without issue, giving me complete confidence to enjoy myself. Will definitely be returning.

Visiting Plymouth and read about this cool place. I love a library, but a wine library is completely my thing. Fitz, one of the owners is the most enthusiastic wine connoisseur. Pete and I spoke about our individual tastes and came away away with two lovely bottles. The white didn’t hang around and the red Grey is just beautiful

Fantastic customer service and lovely atmosphere between the staff. Food & wine absolutely delicious and great interaction from the staff - they’re always happy to help. Aesthetically pleasing too! Such a relaxing evening to catch up with my sister, Honkytonk never disappoints! Can’t wait to book again :)

Breakfast @ HonkyTonk. Fantastic breakfast at the HT last weekend. Tried their sharing platter which is easily enough for 2 people and came with a great selection of fresh fruit, avo on toast, perfectly crisply bacon! sweet waffles and pastries. Filled croissant also excellent. Great service as always.

Really enjoyed my first visit. Lovely food, friendly helpful staff. Good feel to the place. When the building work not related to here is finished the view over the water will be stunning. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely place serving wonderful brunch, drinks and evening nibbles. The breakfast platter was absolutely incredible, from the presentation to the taste it was all 10/10. Staff were super welcoming and accommodation which made my visit even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend you visit.

Best Sunday Lunch ever- Amazingly tasty and tender lamb beautifully cooked potatoes and Veg accompanied by great wine. Owners were very friendly and welcoming- will definitely be coming back for more
