A life-saver. Will recommend this place to all pet owners who at times may struggle to afford vet bills. The staff are always nice and friendly despite how busy it can get, and how late they work. Took my mum’s cat recently after it was quite ill and the vets & nurses were excellent throughout. Make sure to leave a donation, it all helps.

If it was possible this place would not receive any stars. I have had pets for nearly 30 years now and never have I had the misfortune to come across a more uncaring vets. We have a kitten of approximately 14 weeks. Left to them she would not have made it to this. A simple case of dehydration was wrongly diagnosed as fatal kidney failure. An appointment was made for a Friday morning at 11.00am to have her euthanized. We were allowed to take her home to spend one last night with her. I am medically trained and just knew that there was more that could be done. I asked the vet (she should be re-employed in an abattoir) about futher treatment. Her answer was no nothing could be done. The Friday morning the kitten was due to be killed she was taken to another vet who said in no uncertain terms that she had not got fatal kidney failure and to take her back to this place and get her kidneys flushed and get her rehydrated. They did not want to do this. Oh no. Would cost too much, hadn't got the staff. Any excuse possible. They did in the end with much reluctance proceed with the treatment. To cut what could have been a very harrowing story short she has since made a complete recovery, but no thanks to this place. If you have any other alternative way of getting help for sick animal, please use it. If the cost of treating the animal is too much this place will simply kill them. We were always prepared to pay over what they asked for payment. They were told this several times. This place is alarming in its total lack of care for sick or injured animals. It reeks of incompetence and the vets show a very limited knowledge in treating the animals. It seems that all they are interested in is making as much money as possible by using the cheapest treatment available. I know it's a charity but look into the finances of the PDSA and you will find that it makes a lot of money. The Chief Executive earns over a hundred and eighty thousand pounds a year. Please try if possible to use an alternative vet. The other vets we used didn't even charge us for the consultation by the way.

PDSA Leicester Pet Hospital - They Are Really Caring And Truly Professional In Their Job - They Get No Funding From The Government - Money From People Who Can't Afford Full Vet Bill's Or PDSA Left Money By Family Bereavement, And By Donations Given To Keep PDSA Going - From The Reception Staff, To Animal Nurse's To The Vet's - They Are Absolutely Amazing And Truly Fantastic And Truly Need To Be Recognised For Their Dedication And Their Commitment And Their Hard Work Given And Time Given To Help And Improve Animal's And Their High Standard Of Care

As per usual ,that if I have had to take my cat to the hospital She rec'd kindness and attention Luckily she didn't have to have any treatment, well due to her age the vet said to anesthetize her would be a risk due to her age She has plaque on her teeth, but eats ok with no problem , doesn't seem to have any pain The vet said to look out for her rubbing her cheeks which could mean she was in pain For a cat that has already "lost" two of her lives and was treated at the hospital as she had been run over She still acts like a kitten at times and is quite healthy and a loving cat I can't praise enough the treatments she has had over the years from the PDSA Hospital in Leicester

We took my Mum's Cat to the PDSA today, we have never been before. I can honestly say the experience was top notch. The receptionists were lovely and the pharmacist was too, couldn't be more helpful. The vet Jack was one of the nicest and helpful vets I have ever met, perfect manner and you could tell he genuinely cared and wanted to help. Thank you Team Leicester you served us fantastically well. See you again soon.

Both vets we saw with our dogs were fantastic, they had compassion and knowledge and advised us the best course of action. Unfortunately it wasn't good news for one of our dogs, but the vet showed us great respect and sympathy, she couldn't do enough for us as we said goodbye. This place is brilliant and the vets are wonderful.

We had to go there during the unfortunate demise of one of my pets, the receptionist was friendly, attentive, and caring. The same couldn't be said of the vet unfortunately, who was very brief and to the point with us. But given the short notice, and heightened emotions from me and my family, I can understand why this would be the case.

Can't fault PDSA on anything, My cat passed away at home and they where so thoughtful and sensitive. We took her in and where told we didn't need to pay but could make a donation, we did donate the cremation cost anyway but for those struggling that option is a god send.

The veterinary clinic is good. Super friendly staff. Helped my kitten twice. The only thing is that when you go into the building, it stinks animal urine. Because of that, it's difficult to sit in the waiting area.

This past weekend I have had to take my little elderly cat bubbles to see the Vets. On Saturday afternoon the vet and Nurse were lovely. Bubbles was nearly 18 and had become poorly quite suddenly and very unlike her. Both the vet and the nurse were caring and compassionate. I was able to take my girl home however sadly she didn't improve overnight so I took her back this afternoon.14.01.24 It was so lovely to see the vet again who treated my bubble's ear problem 4 years ago. Just as 4 years ago a lovely lady who obviously cares about the animals. Also very professional and understanding. Sadly bubbles was just too tired and it was agreed she needed to be put to sleep. Her grand old age caught up with herπŸ™. I'd have given anything to have her with me for a few more years but to reach nearly 18 she did really well. It's just so heartbreaking. I want to thank the two lovely vets the one on sat afternoon and the vet this afternoon. I'm so sorry I can't remember your names.Thank you to the lovely nurses who I spoke to on the phone and face to face.your absolute stars and very patient. Thank you also for allowing me the opportunity to purchase the paw print box.withs bub's paw print, I'll treasure this. Michelle xx

The staff here are superb, nurturing, kind, caring. The greatest kind of people you want looking after you beloved animals. They saved my dogs life, I'm eternally grateful. Please if you can donate even if you don't use this hospital yourselves, do it for the animals so the support and care can continue. If we all help a little it will accumulate to alot

I cannot express how grateful I am for the PDSA services, the staff are patient, kind, friendly, helpful, confident, intelligent, sensible I'd say the PDSA were practically perfect in every way! My cat feels much better now after her surgery and is fighting fit, though if I had known that fixing a terrible dental infection would make her more keen to bite me I may have hesitated a bit! The PDSA is a low cost service and in some cases they only ask for a contribution so please πŸ™ contribute as much as you can to these wonderful people and this amazing service ❀️

I have the pdsa a few times now for my mum with her pets and they have been nothing but amazing. The staff honestly go above and beyond to help your pet. I sadly had to have my cat put to sleep here but it brought me happiness knowing he was looked after so well here before he left us.

Excellent service even with a nationwide shortage of vets. They are, however, not taking new referrals due to having staffing shortages. You still receive excellent care for your pets.

Couldn't get through and advise on line is that no help us available. No help to those not on benefits. Even though we don't even own the cat, he sleeps outside and is fed by 2 or 3 other neighbours. Very upset as the cat is bleeding and has difficulty breathing and eating. Why is there no help available. I have a family and I am really struggling as have already paid out for 2 lots of antibiotics costing over Β£300. Really unfair system.

Very helpful and compassionate staff. Despite there being a shortage of vets and there being only one vet at the premises that day, they managed to fit my pet in for an emergency. Treated my pet with tenderness and care.
