My first experience with A J Cycles was when I took the bike, which I had bought from Wiggle, to them for inspection and repair. The rear wheel bearing had failed and the consequent lock up had ripped the metal dropout plate off of the carbon frame. Despite the bike still being under warranty, Wiggle refused the claim, putting it down to my negligence. Alex, one of the mechanics at A J, didn't agree with this at all, so took up the case for me, including shipping my bike when Wiggle relented and agreed to a warranty repair. Since then I've bought two bikes from them and get them to do any work I can't do. Fantastic dealer and I'll never go anywhere else.

Buying my bike from AJ Cycles has been hands down by far the best retail experience I've ever had. The team are extremely knowledgeable and patient, and there's no "sales pitch" or pressure. They are genuinely passionate about riding and will support you in making the best choice for your needs. At the time when I purchased my bike there were worldwide issues with parts resulting in production and shipping delays on Treks end. AJs kept me updated at every turn, without me chasing them. I could tell they really cared about my order and valued my custom. When the bike I was waiting for was delayed significantly by Trek, AJs took it upon themselves to find me the exact bike elsewhere in Treks network, and (literally) went 100s of miles out of their way to personally collect it for me, just so I could have my bike sooner. They could of just accepted the update from Trek and left me to wait as it was not within their control and completely understandable that "these things happen" but not on AJs watch! You'll be in the best hands for sure, above and beyond doesn't even begin to cover it.

I Went into AJ Cycles to get some information on an electric bike, I didn’t feel under any pressure as I browsed the bikes and was only approached when I looked for someone, Jen the sales lady was very well informed and gave me concise and unbiased advice to my questions, she was very knowledgeable and helpful but at no time did I feel any sales pressure. I then went home and digested all the information and returned the next day to purchase a Trek Powerfly 4 equipped as this best suited my needs, before I purchased it I was allowed to test ride the bike and everything was explained to me before I took it out and again no sales pressure was applied, all the staff here are true cycle enthusiasts and obviously care about their customers and making sure they get the bike that suits them best, it’s a very refreshing change from the usual high pressure profit based sales I’ve been subjected to in the past. The bike was then delivered to my house on a date and time to suit me. And the delivery chap (I’ve rudely forgotten his name) was very helpful and made sure I was totally happy and answered all my questions regarding my new bike, a proper family owned cycle shop that I would highly recommend to anyone. I purchased my e bike May this year after changing my mind on a hybrid. I had originally ordered a small hybrid but with Covid the delays on building bikes took ages. Paul and his team were in touch with me during this time with updates. Then they said yes it was in store ready for collection but during the wait I had changed my mind. They were brilliant and said there wasn’t any issues and they ordered me my E bike . They let me try one out before ordering and couldn’t have been more helpful . I have now been riding around the countryside finding lovely villages to stop and have a drink. I absolutely love my bike. Paul and the team said I can come back if I have any queries and they will sort it but so far none . I have sent a few friends over to AJ Cycles to purchase their bikes too. Best shop to go if you want good service friendly faces and any help with buying a decent bike

Purchased waterproof mtb trousers late December that weren’t part of the January sale. Paul emailed me to say that he had applied a 30% discount to the purchase as they would be going in to the sale in January. (He didn’t have to do this and I would’ve been non the wiser) so the trousers that were £149.99 are now somewhere around £100. This is the sort of service I could get used to. Will deffo recommend to daily and friends. Really happy customer here. Thank you once again Paul. :)

Love our bikes, we both have electric bikes from here, just give a bit of a boost when needed, usually uphill, they are heavy though with a battery in , too heavy for a car bike rack, so we have just treated ourselves to a Mi-rider foldable bike. They are very helpful , I had my saddle replaced with a pneumatic one that i can adjust up & down when riding, & all the cabling was made to work & look very neat, & also fixing a mudguard on, to look neat, not the cheapest of shops to buy a bike from but you will get quality & good customer service, well worth spending that bit more. We have had people comment on our bikes when we have been out on them, so we always point them in the direction of AJs. Lovely to be able to ride around different places & see different areas & stop off for a drink somewhere, always check how much charge you have in your battery before you go.

We've replaced a relatively expensive bike for my daughter (+£500) for her birthday as she had her bike stolen. AJ Cycles were amazing, they've built the bike and delivered it to her WITH A BOW ON!!!' I couldn't have asked for more, the delivery man even hid it and when she appeared he said "surprise"!!
