Finally getting around to reviewing this place. Only good thing is the ambience/music/decor and a couple of the staff who go above and beyond, I've been in more then a few times but I'm giving up with this local cafe for somewhere more inviting, owner has an extremely challenging personality, surprising nobody has confronted her yet. Best to skip this place for now

Went there earlier today got my partner a nice garnet crystal necklace and myself a malachite tower crystal for amazing prices, Malachite tower was £55.. usually a lot more expensive than this! Super friendly staff and offer more than I thought! Breakfast, tea, coffee.. then go get a massage too 😍 100% going back there for that massage 😅 definitely recommend!

A delightful spiritually aesthetic shop and cafe which we came upon by chance whilst exploring on our holiday. The owner was very friendly and helpful, with great patience and attentive to even my 8 yrs old daughter explaining to her the importance and relevance of each stone whilst she chose a necklace as her birthday present. She also demonstrated the fragrance of the wick burners which I then purchased. You can help yourself to cups of water as well, which is free for all visitors. The only negative perhaps (and I didn't purchase it) was the bits of wood claimed to be sandalwood, which can be used to burn. Being Indian, I know and recognise authentic sandalwood because I grew up with it. It is quite rare and very expensive and did not smell anything like sandalwood. But overall a pleasant experience. I liked the decor, the gift items and the clean and tidy space. Please do support this small business because they have a great cafe as well.

My best friend and I booked a parallel 30 min honey detox massage. Both the massage therapists were extremely lovely and great at massaging, but I wouldn't recommend this detox unless you have very tough skin! Once the honey started drying, the technique felt extremely painful (my best description would be hands sticking on and then ripping off the skin on my back repeatedly). It was also a lot more honey than I expected and left some sticky residue bits. Would definitely go back for a regular massage though. No other complaints at all, the place was great. The 3 stars are only because we possibly picked the wrong treatment to feel relaxed!

In this local, I had the occasion to meet Violetta, a very good specialist in the therapical massage, complex full body. I was very pleased by this procedure, I recommend with assurance that Violetta is the best one there 👌.

I had a Pressotherapy (Lymphatic Drainage Massage by Machine) massage here last week. Beautiful shop & café with friendly and welcoming staff. If you love healthy nutritious food, massages and good quality coffee, this is from far the BEST PLACE in Margate, just a few minutes walk from the beach. I am picky when I eat out in my holidays on the coast, I am selective when I choose a massage therapist to work on my body. Very friendly and welcoming staff, always doing the extra mile, reliable on your nutrition diet, nice good music, it felt cozy, it felt like home, this place did not just tick all the boxes, but exceeded my expectations. Well done, you deserve your place in business!

Sofia is a great masseuse. I am a regular massage-getter - generally sports massages for various weak spots - and she ranks among the very best. Hot stones were a new one for me and I really liked how these were used, and generally how attentive to my needs Sofia was. If you’re visiting the area, as I was, book yourself a treatment to relax.

Booked into zen by the sea for a Swedish massage with hot stones and it did not disappoint. Sophie was very kind and professional. Very relaxing. The shop was amazing, great choice of crystals and incense and much more. Amazing experience. Will definitely be back again!

Incredible massage by Violetta, I had the Indian head massage and my headache completely went away. Relaxing and good firm pressure. Very responsive and friendly staff serving as well..I had a delicious chai latte and cinnamon bun afterwards (thank you!)

Best relaxation experience, very calming atmosphere! Had an hour hot stones massage and it did not disappoint, it was everything I hoped for and more. Myself and my husband went for a Swedish full body massage with hot stones and luxury gold facial. Absolutely amazing, such a gem in Thanet. I'd much rather spend my money here than a big chain leisure centre. The ladies were very knowledgable and made us feel comfortable right away. Thank you

I have been here twice now for a couples massage and it is definitely the best in the area. The masseuses are professional and work to the needs of your body, rather than just doing a standard routine. A lovely hidden gem, with a couple who are friendly and informative. Only too happy to share their knowledge and show off their stunning jewelry. The hemp is amazing and eased my back instantly. A must visit, we shall return and make use of the therapies next time too.

BEST MASSAGE EVER! I was carrying the stress of the world in my body and my muscles were so taut. That was until I got a massage here. I had the deep tissue massage and I could feel my body responding to the healing hands that relaxed, stretched and rubbed out the tightness. I walked out feeling taller and with a lot less body aches. I have already booked another visit

I had a hot stne massage with Violet. It was one of the best massages I've ever had. Very thorough with so many bit's I've not had before. She did the whole body: head, face, feet, hands and all other areas that every masseur does. It was amazing. I will definitely go back.

I had a Hot Stone Massage with a friend, the treatment room is tucked away underneath the shop feels a bit like a hidden treasure honestly. The massage was absolutely incredible, hard to describe how the hot stones feel, they are hot but it feels good and can really get into the tension spots. You get a really personalised massage here, our therapists also did a cleanse and then used some Palo Alto to promote positivity at the end of our massage. We felt amazing afterwards. It's my second time at Zen by the Sea and I will be back! I also want to shout out I had the best ever coffee there! Beans are local and was just perfect! So thank you!

Zen is my favourite store in Margate! For all your crystal supplies, crysyal jewellery,incense, aromatherapy oils and stunning organic teas. I love adding to my crystal collection everytime i visot i find something new amd the staff are extremely insightful and helpful there's never any pressure to buy. I often visit to enjoy one of the delicious organic teas and soak up the calm atmosphere.

Had a lovely massage today 😌 just what I needed after a busy week, I discovered zen by the sea back in October and was so impressed how its a cafe, crystal 🔮 shop and offer massages 💆‍♀️ reiki all on one premises, my eyes 👀 nearly popped out my head with excitement, both visits iv purchased crystals and insence, here is a beautiful variety thank you and I have told many others about zen and bought my friend along to today to share the experience x
