Had an absolutely fabulous experience at the Chester and Liverpool clinics! I had my consultation at Chester, Laura was very friendly and guided me through the process with her lovely, soothing, spa voice. We did a lot of very thorough checks and tests and I really felt very looked after, she even made me a little brew whilst I waited for the lovely optometrist! I had my procedure 4 weeks later at the Liverpool clinic, once again the whole team was super friendly and professional. The procedure itself was super quick and absolutely not painful at all which was really surprising! I only felt a little pressure, afterwards I could see but my eyes were blurry and watery. When I got home I took some ibuprofen and had a nap and woke up a new woman! I couldn't believe how normal and not too irritated my eyes looked either! I've just had my post-op check up in the Chester clinic and once again the staff there were super friendly, professional and really warm and welcoming. Just such an amazing, life changing experience, I'm so excited to experience the world with great vision!! Thank you!

Superb service from start to, well, we’re not finished yet- I’ve still got all kinds of checkups to go- I only got zapped on Monday! Huge loves to the Chester Optical Express team. Explained the procedure, what I could have done, exactly how it’d work and how much it’d cost with none of the usual sales waffle- nice one Laura. 👍🏻 Just had my 4 day checkup with Andy, explained where I’m up to and I go back in 3 weeks for the next one, but already I’m there or thereabouts in terms of my vision. There’s no way of getting around it, it’s not cheap, but you’ll not have better service anywhere else with Anne on the desk treating you like you’re a regular even though I’ve only been there twice. 😂

The whole process from start to finish was extremely well managed. At no point was there any pressure to go ahead with the procedure, it was all explained in a very easy and simple way and very informative. The procedure itself was very quick , straightforward and completely painless. The staff were very thorough and really put me at ease about the whole process. The surgery side of the procedure only takes a few minutes each eye and I was amazed how quickly it was performed. As for the results, they are virtually instant. I hadn’t realised how bad my sight had deteriorated and how much more I can see now. No glasses, ever again and the colours are amazing ! It truely has changed my life , and I’m so glad I’ve had the procedure

I went for laser eye surgery yesterday after years of thinking about it. I had the LASIK i-design and had it in the Liverpool clinic. Honestly, it is the best thing I’ve ever had done! The surgery was not long at all and was completely pain free. After the treatment it feels exactly like you’ve cut lots of onions, but I got myself straight home to bed and woke up today and it is like a miracle! I could see it was such a great feeling! Everyone at both Chester and Liverpool clinics were amazing! Especially the technician I had, he was like my cheerleader getting me through the process by counting down the seconds. They were all so friendly and amazing! I would highly recommend to anyone that is wishing to go for it. Thanks so much Optical Express!

Lovely, friendly staff. All opticians were professional but welcoming and made me feel at ease. Usman showed me all the images of my eyes, explaining and showing me the progress in my sight which I found really helpful

I am writing this review after receiving laser eye surgery with Optical Express. All initial and follow up consultation was conducted by the the Chester branch, where the service was professional and clear, and was informed at all stages. Following my consultations I received the surgery at the Liverpool branch, again was greeted with a professional knowledgable experience. The whole surgery process was quick and efficient being complete start to finish within 1hour 30minutes. Aftercare appointment were made at my convenience and information was available as needed. I would recommend the experience to anyone looking to have the treatment done.

Anne, Laura and Andy are an absolute pleasure from start to finish of this process. I could not recommend them more. The process has been absolutely life changing and it’s been made even more special by the people who work in the Chester office. I had lasik eye surgery and after 24 hours, I had better than 20/20 vision. I was reassured and all my questions were answered. The procedure itself was 10 minutes, pain free. I developed inflammation in one of my eyes and was given additional check ups and eye drops to address it, at no additional cost. Everyone that works here genuinely cares and you do not feel like they are taking your money and running. It really has been an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone. I’ve debated having laser surgery for about 15 years and now my only regret is not doing it sooner! Optical Express customer services and customer care is outstanding. All staff help to put your mind at ease and answer all questions along the way. The aftercare has been amazing! Would recommend Optical Express to anyone!

Optical Express made me feel so welcome and calm. They were very supportive and talked me through everything. Even when in surgery, it was all over so quickly and completely pain free. I can’t thank everyone at Optical Express enough for their amazing service, it has truly changed my life.

So I was very nervous about having any kind of procedure especially when I find it hard to tolerate eye drops. As my eye site started to deteriorate quickly quickly for near / reading I found glasses becoming more and more off a hinderance especially as I wanted to continue with my hobbies. So I worked up the courage to have a consultation to see what the best options were for me. All I can say is I am so glad I have gone through with the treatment as this has essentially changed my life for the better and given me the freedom back to to do the thing I used to do. The staff at Optical express were extremely professional and friendly and made me feel welcomed and valued which is a rare thing these days. Nothing was a problem, any and all questions were answered. This is true for the centre in Chester and the Bridgewater centre in Manchester. What I appreciated as well was the continuity of care with the staff. Hats off to Osman who looked after me on the day of my operation and my post op review. In all honesty if you are thinking of lens replacement do it sooner rather than later to get the most benefit but more importantly it will allow you to enjoy life so much more so don't put it off. My surgery was painless. 7 mins of being a little disconcerted for each eye and that is an extremely small price to pay for getting your life back.

I had my initial consultation for laser eye surgery at the branch in Chester. After this assessment i decided to go ahead and booked my surgery at liverpool which was on the 24/04/2023. Dr Kazmi was my surgeon. I decided to have LASEK as i do combat sports. I was extremly nervous about having the surgery done and this was made worse by reading some negativity elsewhere online. I had a number of phone calls with Giles and he was able to put my mind at ease, I probably wouldnt have gone through with it without Giles reassurance. I had my month check up today and I basically have 20/10 vision (2 lines better than 20/20). Which will only improve over the next couple of months. I found the first couple days pretty hard going with painful eyes and a feeling of having grit in them but this soon resolved and was on the way to recovery. I could not recommened Optical express enough from my experience again. Once again a big thank yot Giles and Ann at the Chester branch.

This was my first point of call when I decided to have private cataract removal surgery. I cannot praise staff highly enough, as their professionalism, enthusiasm and duty of care was so high, it helped me make my final decision. I was right to do so; the aftercare is absolutely brilliant as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone considering cataract replacement surgery.
