One of our favourite bays on this stretch of coast. Was not crowded despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend. The large sandy beach means plenty of space available. Also good for dog walkers and cyclists. A number of places to buy food and refreshments. Tide goes out far on this stretch of shallow water. As such it's great for children. Easy to park with free parking on the road plus car park.

We absolutely love visiting Minnis Bay, and are so thankful that this beautiful beach is right on our doorstep. You have the option of both pebble and sandy beaches, which is even better when the tide is in, which was our situation although we knew this ahead of time, therefore we set up camp upon the pebble beach. The Minnis to Reculver Trail also makes for great; walking, running, cycling and even roller blading. You won’t regret spending a warm sunny day here.

Excellent bay, I have lived here and after leaving home have been coming here for many many years. How can you not love this place. Beautiful.

I've just discovered this lovely bay and been twice in the past week with the grandchildren. If you get the tides right you'll have the most wonderful time. Clean water, soft sand and plenty of space for social distancing! Although it was breezy we were equipped with wind breaks so no problem! Lots of shells and fun stuff to collect. We even saw a crab which the children were mesmerized by! Lots of Parking nearby and we saw a cafe although it was closed (Covid-19)

A nice stretch of beach, wide open to the sea. A few beach huts, a wide path for walking, running or cycling. No shops around.

Bloody awful stench of rotting seaweed. I suspect it's an August / Sept issue but it is truly awful. As you walk the prom it should be wonderful but I actually wretched..... surely the local authorities can do something because it must seriously effect local business, residents and house prices. If you look at other review sites you will notice its a seasonal issue.... and words can't describe how vile it is...sorry...

Beautiful! a lovely day spent here. Lifeguards on the beach and so much information about the local wildlife from the bay inspector. Loved the ice cream shop at the top and the toilets.

Not a very welcoming face when asking for a table. Appeared to be put out that we wanted a table. We expect a friendly welcome but didn't get it from one of your waiting staff. Shan't be coming again!

😐 Viking Bay in Broadstairs is a sandy beach less than a couple of hours from London by train. There are amenities such as toilets, food kiosks, showers and lifeguards. The beach itself is full of seaweeds so to me it did not make it the prettiest beach. Broadstairs itself was a very gentile town. The...
