There are always 10 brews on tap and hundreds of cans and bottles to choose from. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about beer and have never failed to recommend new and exciting options. What sets That Beer Place apart is the commitment to quality. Of all the drinking establishments in Chester, I think this one is fast becoming my favourite! If you are a fan of craft beer, craft cider, German and Belgian beers then this is definitely somewhere you need to visit!! With around 11 craft beers on tap and a very large selection of bottles and cans in the fridges the different variety of drinks you can have is magnificent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they sure do know what they are talking about when it comes to craft beer.

We love this place, the beer is always incredible with lots of different options on tap, the atmosphere is great with a chilled vibe and the staff are all lovely and give helpful advice when spoilt for choice over which beer to try! Previously in the chester markets we were very excited when we found out they were opening on Foregate street, closer to home and open on a sunday 🥳 it's the perfect location for sunny days, a great spot for people watching and close to the train station A must go for beer lovers !

Great range of beers and ciders, enough tasty soft drinks to satisfy the designated driver. Fantastic staff, really knowledgeable and with a passion for the products. I picked up some absolute gems from breweries I'd never heard of (and I drink a lot of beer). Lots of fresh air via the folding front windows so it doesn't smell like a bar towel, chilled music vibes and unusually for a craft beer bar, clean toilets! I'd wholeheartedly recommend a visit, they've really thought about every aspect when they've designed this place.

Visited That beer place as part of the food tour around Chester. We received a warm welcome from the owner of the business and staff team and an absolutely huge selection of drinks to choose from. I only wish I would have had more time to spend there. Would definitely return and advise anyone passing to drop in and try for yourself, you will not be disappointed you will just be spoiled for choice. Cheers🍻

Beautiful beer bar, probably the best in Chester

If you like ale, then this place is like disney land. Was excited to have accidently found this place! Theres got to be something like 200 different bottles to try along with 10 drafts! Take some money, its not cheap but definately worth a look!

What a terrific find. A great selection of beers and ciders something for everyone's tastes. Prices are very fair for the quality of the drinks and experience and the staff were very chatty and knowledgeable. Will return 🍻

Great place to chill, great selection on tap, nice selection of ciders too with plenty of canned options available Owners are extremely knowledgeable, Polite and were happy to answer questions and offer testers. Definitely the new Friday stopping place

A beer lovers paradise ! What a place ! Laid back atmosphere, amazing selection of drinks and really knowledgeable staff The selection of beers is great and the staff really know their stuff, but not in a monotone "the hops are harvested by hand and heated to 35c" kinda way, in a "we genuinely enjoy drinking beer and can guide you to the best drinks for your pallet" kinda way. Been a few times now and will be back again soon My new favourite place in Chester

Phenomenal staff, knowledgeable and generous. If you want great beer, dispensed well then this is That Beer Place for you.

Amazing range of beer and cider of all stripes, super cool owners and staff, atmosphere is spot on. Be adventurous with your choices, come prepared to learn many things, and just dive in - it's ace! The rest of the bar crawl rarely happens, we often just go to ground here. Also, the music playlists are equally on point (because that needs mentioning too).

Excellent selection and good quality ciders too which you often don't get in taprooms. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Simply fantastic beer, but nothing simple about the beer here. Had a lovely stout. Great conversation with the staff, mainly beer focused... who knew.... highly recommended. I believe they have DJ's on sometimes.
