Medical clinic Fortress

😠 I have been with this practice for over 50 years and it is now absolutely terrible. I made an appointment with Dr Mears for Monday only to be swapped to another doctor. Dr Mears only doctor whose name I knew. For what reason I have no idea. He wasn’t one bit interested. Shortest appointment... People often mention appointment, told, doctor, surgery, time, prescription,

I have been with this practice for over 50 years and it is now absolutely terrible. I made an appointment with Dr Mears for Monday only to be swapped to another doctor. Dr Mears only doctor whose name I knew. For what reason I have no idea. He wasn’t one bit interested. Shortest appointment ever. Prescription provided but no questions asked as to whether I was allergic to Ibuprofen. Half the time they are locums with no interest in the patient. No full time doctors employed anymore. Why? Never there more than a day or two and not seen again. No continuity of care, not seen a doctor face to face for over two years. COPD check done over the telephone though quite how that happens no idea. If I wasn’t the age I was I would transfer but no idea where to go and start all over again. They just want rid of us oldies so if they don’t see us we can just fade away off the scene for good. Told I had to agree to a do not resuscitate order being put on my records, had to fight to get it removed. Told you they just want rid. Disgusting service.

Been with the health centre for a while and the only time I went and needed an urgent appointment I got declined. I had a bladder infection and immediately knew what was going on. Had to leave work in pain and needed an emergency appointment but they said they are fully booked and that they might call me back and give me one. Turns out they would never call me back. I was told to just have a bit of a rest and maybe I would not actually need to see a doctor. So they sent me back home. I was trying my best to keep up with the pain but as I could not take it anymore I went to a walk-in centre and the doctor there immediately told me that I have a serious bladder infection, needed antibiotics and I could be happy I did not get a worse infection. It was that serious that I had to take antibiotics for longer than a week. Definitely not going back there. Currently changing to a different health centre where staff is friendlier and where you are at least taken seriously. Never had such a bad experience in my 27 years. If there would be the possibility to give minus points that surgery would definitely get a lot.

I only learnt by visiting the surgery yesterday that all appointments now have to made by phone or online. My online password is currently not working. I have sat for 40 minutes this morning on the phone to try and get a follow on appointment to find all appointments have been taken for the next three weeks. If I phone tomorrow there will only be another day added for appointments. However do the older generation manage to see their doctor or better still their preferred doctor? How is this an efficient system? The receptionist once i got to her was very polite, sympathetic and helpful.

I'd give zero stars of I could. I moved house and they dropped me from their patient list the same day I told them about the move. I can not order my repeat prescription. I ask for them to call and they still only email me and say I have 30 days from the house move to order my prescription with them until I find a new surgery. Yet when I try to order my prescription, it won't let me. I only told them last Friday about the move and its now the following Monday. I am on long term medication and they've dropped me and left me without any care or prescription. I am waiting for my appointment with my new surgery. You can't just get one on the same day. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

They have delayed my newborn babies first vaccines and my postnatal check from the standard 6-8 weeks to midway through week 9. The NHS website already specifies that it is importsnt that newborns have their vaccines at the correct time. I will be taking this further.

So my friend has been with this surgery since he's lived in St neots and at every single turn they have failed. The receptionists will pretend they have medical knowledge to the point they choose whether something is an emergency or not. The doctors they have in and out like a revolving door are even worse, they refused to do anything about abnormalities with blood tests to the point where he now has an incurable and technically terminal disease and they still won't take him seriously enough to even give a medication review over the phone, let alone any actual medical care/advice. If your with this surgery and need help, don't bother, call 111 they're much more helpful.

Get told they will phone back and they never do. It took a week to get an appointment just to be told I need to go hospital which I was going to do but was told not to do and wait for an appointment. Still in pain and has gotten worse.

It used to be hard enough to get an appointment with them. Now they’ve changed their booking system to on the day only, now you have to spend 45mins on hold in the morning just to be told there’s nothing available left for the day. Absolutely ridiculous

Was told by the repeat prescription service to email across the details and medication needed for the person I care for. But every time I send it across, I get an email back pretty much immediately saying that it couldn't be sent even though I'm doing exactly what I was told to do. Sort it out please.

Really not happy with the surgery at all. You can never get an appointment and reception staff are really unhelpful. Sometimes people just need to be shown they are listened too.

Can be difficult to get a telephone appointment at the moment. But! The nurses at Eaton Socon are brilliant. You can now do an online chat where you can submit non-urgent issues. I messaged late on Saturday and had a reply first thing Monday morning. Really handy if you just need to check something e.g. a quick ask for a prescription. I can't fault the receptionists at the Eaton Socon centr and they have been so helpful and understanding every time I have been in ☺️

No stars at all ! The absolute worst Have been trying for over 6 months to get an app it's absolutely terrible that people who are ill cannot even get to speak to a doctor let alone see one

Absolute joke. On hold from 8am, 39 in the queue. Get down to number 4 only to be cut off. Call back same thing happens. You finally get through to an obnoxious and rude receptionist to tell you no more appointments today. What's the point in a health sevice if you can't get appointments.
